We seem to all be closet Ravenclaws

If we're closeted, the closet must be made of glass and freaky, squeaky clean, at least around TD

Haha funnily enough I'm a weird kind of organised person. My room is constantly an utter mess (much to the detriment of my mother's sanity ) but then I do lists upon lists of things, colour coding, my bookmarks division into folders is pristine and I love my different diaries for different things. I'm a weird Raven egg.

Haha, I think maybe how we perceive ourselves, and how we perceive the houses, and how others perceive ourselves and the houses all just don't necessarily map well onto each other.

Well, who does have a perfectly true self-image
Remember when we came up with the system for talking about four kinds of love? I think that affected how some of us viewed the houses, as compared to other HP readers. Certainly it affected my view, anyway:
Red/Gryff: Familial love Yellow/Huff: Neighbourly Blue/Raven: Intellectual / teacher-student / artist-appreciator Green/Slyth: Intimate
I still use that system when I'm trying to explain how I can say I have a crush on [an author, like David Mitchell] without meaning that I'd actually want to do anything more than have a conversation with him. Or why I call some of the young patrons of my bookshop my "blue nieces."

Taken with a liberal grain of salt. So many of my answers depend entirely on the situation, so it was difficult to judge. BUT WHATEVS, IT'S AN INTERNET QUIZ. *thumbs up* Gryff- 73 Raven- 97 Hufflepuff- 56 Slyth- 88 @en: I noticed that I can't seem to develop Green love for anyone without having first fallen head-over-heels in Blue love with them. So, the two kind of blur in my experience. I guess I just love big, sexy brains

@cally, I can't love 'em without the blue, and I can't date 'em without the yellow. This town is chock full of very intelligent people, but some of them are a little prone to histrionics; besides that, I have to wait for them to notice that I'm a well-meaning person. I feel like the kind of love i need the most is the intimate kind. To me intimacy is fulfilling. So i guess that makes sense for me! I didnt realize we had this converation before this is cool to see
But in my heart i am an artist so maybe that is my Ravenclaw side?

My results: Gryffindor: 89 Ravenclaw: 83 Hufflepuff: 90 Slytherin: 45
I still use the houses to describe different types of love. And yeah, it totally helped change my views of the houses, and I've found that re-reading the books with the house-love views brought around some new insights.

Was this house-love view thing something that you guys all came up with?

As with most of the ideas I got from TD, tracing who started it is almost impossible without actually going back through old threads, but I do remember that it came out of the sorting game we played in which we picked something that came in a group of four - the Beatles, or the hobbits in Lord of the Rings, or whatever - and put one in each house. Oh the arguments we had about which hobbit was the Ravenclaw
