*shrugs, smiling* We all have our flaws...all that matters is how you use them. Imperfections can be quite charming.
Hmmm...Hufflepuff was fairly easy to get into--not that that's why I joined, of course. The lack of interest in our house has made the Neeks and Rue quite eager to accept anyone interested, methinks. Although it's not my place to assume.

Indeed… It’s what makes the world spin. Without making a few mistakes once in a while, you wouldn’t know from right and wrong… Though I don’t think anyone could truly define ‘right’ and ‘wrong’.
-Sighs-
Mmmm… Right. It’s always hard when no one seems to be interested in your house. It makes you wonder what you’re doing wrong. Though, of course, the Slytherins can be a bit intimidating if you don’t know us at all. However, the quality of your hopeful is important. I wouldn’t want to have ten hopefuls only to find out that they are complete idiots. And those impatient types who always pester you every bleeding minute. “Why haven’t I been accepted? I reached 100, can I be a Slytherin now?!” Oi…. I knew one person like that, but I wasn’t a HoH back then. Poor Dawn.

*looks politely puzzled* I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting her. Slytherin Alumni?
Ah...I can only imagine. I'm afraid I can be a bit irksome when it comes to patience, but I try not to pester my superiors too much. From the Head of House's point of view, I would certainly want to find members worthy of my time.

-Nods- Yes, and former Slytherin HoH.
I’d understand if someone would ask politely once or twice, but this person… She just didn’t understand that the HoH’s were busy and they weren't able make any decisions just yet. I was a bit skeptical when she finally did get accepted. She’s gone now though so everything’s just peachy.
But enough about that, how’s life treating you?

Fair enough. It's life, ya know? But I really can't complain. I've only just gotten over being sick. Nothing too serious, mind you, but nasty all the same.
And how are you? Not being hassled by too many eager newbies... ;D

Yipes, any sickness at all sucks, major and minor alike.
Life is… life, not easy. I had to work hard for the awesome grades I got in the mail the other day. I just got back from Orange County, as you can see in my name, where I congratulated him on graduating from the University of California – Irvine. That was fun aside from the plane ride. My ears still hurt.
I’m taking classes right now to prepare myself for the blasted SAT which I should be taking this 2004 – 2005 school year. –nervousness- I’ve been worried about the whole college thing for a while now.
Oh, I love the green apple, by the way! ;D

Yay! Go you, for getting awesome grades! *grins* I got a 4.0 this year, so I got a second ear piercing to celebrate. Sorry about the nervousness. But I'm sure you'll do fine.
Ooh, my apple...I've had Across the Universe by John Lennon stuck in my head. It didn't exactly match the Lautrec painting, so...now I've got my Beatles apple in it's place. ;D

-nods enthusiastically- Yes, yes! Same here! I as so excited because this year was the first time I’ve ever gotten straight A’s! Can you believe that?! There’s always that one or two… or three darned B’s.
Heehee, my picture was inspired by music too. Or rather, a musical. I love Guys and Dolls so much! And goodness, Marlon Brando was a killer heartthrob! Just look at him! –heart flutters- And hey, he was in Godfather… You’d understand if you knew more about my obsession with anything related to Italy and Italians.

Um...I wouldn't know. I'm about one quarter Italian, although I never really found out much about it. Go musicals! Have you seen any Broadway plays? They're fantastic. I saw, let's see, I'm pretty sure it was last summer...Thoroughly Modern Millie. It was very cute, tee hee. ;D

Hehe... Yeah... I tend to scare people away when I go on about my obsessions... Anyway....
Yes! I've heard good things about that one though I haven't seen it yet. I believe the touring company did stop by the Bay Area, but I never got a chance to see it.
I did see Beauty and the Beast in San Francisco. That was really good. And then there was a smaller production of Fiddler on the Roof that I've seen. It was small, but brilliantly done none the less. Oh, there was Bye Bye Birdie as well.

ooc: Eep! Sorry, missed this thread on my daily rounds.
bic: It's not scary. You should be proud of your heritage. ;D *waves a Scottish flag* Woo-hoo! Ehem. Anyway....
Ooh, the other Broadways I've seen are Cats and The Lion King. They were both really good, but...The Lion King was phenominal. Truely. It was also very late and long....making the following day the latest I'd ever slept in. Around 10:30-11am. I'm not good at sleeping in.

((It's fine, really. )
-snickers- Heehee... Tasia, I'm no where near Italian...
Oh, Lion King! Was it really as good as I'm hearing from everyone? They are in San Francisco right now! I'm trying to convince my mom to take me, but it's so expensive... -sigh- I'm washing our cars every weekend now.

It was so cool! Mostly the costumes....everyone's an animal, right? So they had to give everyone an animal costume. They still had to be able to move around, but look convincing. It was really cool. They wore mask-things high up on their heads, and their faces were painted. The extras, like, the animals that gather when Symba is born under Pride Rock, were half-puppet things. I remember the cheetahs in particular...actors held sticks that moved the cheetah's front legs, and their own two legs fit into the back ones. I dunno if that makes sense, but...*sigh* It was awesome.
Ha! Really? What are you then, if I might ask...

No, no, I've seen the ads so I have some idea of what you are talking about. ;D How was the music? It was like the movie for the most part, right?
You really want to know? I'm... American. Haha, Asian American to be exact. Chinese if you want to get down into the details.

Hiphip Huzzah for Americans! ;D I happen to be one too. A perfect little southern bell, I am. Let's see, I'm....Scottish, Irish, Italian, and English. But mostly Scottish.
The music was great, the acting was great, and it stayed very true to the movie. Definitely worth seeing-I think that was my favourite one.
