I would have thought that Dumbledore would have figured that out - not only because he probably remembers seeing Hufflepuff's cup and would recognise it, but because he would probably have been on his guard to notice other horcruxes in Hogwarts, especially after the diary incident? But it's an interesting idea, certainly.

What if the item from Ravenclaw is in either the Room of Requirement or in Dudley' second bedroom. Yea, I know the second one is way out there, but it is a cage.
What about the cage that Harry foundwhen he was hiding the prince's potions book? Thoughts?

Wait, where did we find out that it was a cage? I had a theory that it was a wand, because of the Tarot suits:
Swords - Gryffindor Cups - Hufflepuff Pentacles - Slytherin (the ring) ergo Wands - Ravenclaw
