I read Speak as well as Stargirl, both I loved...Stargirl was a bit...I don't know how to put it exactly, perhaps the idea was so large that for me it didn't fit well with the book's size? I don't know, I left it feeling unfulfilled but it.
*dies for Anne Rinaldi* Ahh, I love her books so much...didn't she write the one about about Thomas Jefferson's kid by a slave? Something with wolf in the title...?
The Dear America books are really, really good, I love them too.
I'm a young adult book junkie, seriously!
Feed, which is a scifi book, is really good, I really enjoyed it...I'm pretty sure it's still considered a young adult book...it's about the future and it deals a lot with the whole idea of how much is enough with technology. Good book, kept my interest!

Faerie Wars is excellent! I just picked up the 2nd one(The Purple Emperor) so I am rereading Faerie Wars... Like everyone else has said Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen are most excellent. Oh... and Golden Compass, Subtle Knife and Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman!
Yeah... I'm a big fan of young adult lit!!!

Have you guys read any of the books from the Bartimaeus Trilogy? There are only two books out as of yet: The Amulet of Samarkand and Golem's Eye. The third one still has to come out.

Has anybody here read Isabel Allende's books? She's a latin american author, but she lives in the states, California, I think. She's pretty good. She writes books of all kinds, not just Young adult, but my favourite book of hers is a young adult book called La Ciudad de las Bestias. The proper translation would be The City of Beasts, but I don't know whether they translated it that way or not. It's about a California boy, whose mom has cancer, and who is sent away to live with his grandmother, who is a crazy and adventurous woman about to live for the amazon when he arrives. She takes him with her, and he finds out a lot of things about the world and stuff in that trip. Great book. Easy to read. It's long, but it's fun. I think I read it in about 3 days, and one of those was my birthday, so I wasn't around much. So yeah. Everyone read that book.
