*reads the first list* Half of those books we read in class at the high school i attend! And in my spare time i've read plenty of the others, and find them to be very good! What is it with people who just can't accept a book that is out of the ordinary?! isn't Fahrenheit 451 about something that has to do with burning all the books and making it illegal to read or something? how ironic...

Well, here in Texas where everyone is uncultured (just kidding) you can't hardly find any of these books and our english teachers have to fight to be able to teach them. The Giver I read in the 6th grade Freshmen year we read Fahrenheit 451, Sophmore year we read A wrinkle in time and Lord of the Flies. This past year we read Of Mice and Men and I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. I printed off the list and counted how many I have read...including where's waldo (: I have read 30 of those books... I am going to do my best to read the rest of them.

Wow, I can't believe all those books are banned or are being challenged, that's insane! I read the Cay, or rather, my fifth grade teacher read it to the class...what was so wrong with it? I mean, it's been awhile, so I don't really remember all of it...
I've read a lot of those books in school as well...
Is there some sort of list or something that tells people why books are banned from schools?

Yeah! Why the heck is "Where's Waldo" on that list? I mean, I understand if the content of a book is offensive or controversial, but it's "Where's Waldo"!! Unless of course people get offended that they can't find Waldo...

It's Banned Books Week on campus here! Hurrah?
At any rate yours truly will begin to read A Clockwork Orange tomorrow. Didn't have time to start today. It does help that I'm reading two other books on top of my reading for class.
