No biggie. I think I might even have a couple of other tea varieties in my overalls here, if you could spare some hot water? *fishes in a side pocket and comes up with a little brown paper bag, opens it, pulls out a smaller plastic bag, opens it, sniffs the contents, sighs delightedly* Here we go. Darjeeling!
Say, um, there wasn't anything funky with any of the muffins or tea, was there? Milk a bit off or some such? *gestures to Willow* She doesn't look quite, um, normal-Willow-ish. *looks at Willow again* I mean, check out those pupils... that just has heliotoxicity written all over it... *looks worried*

*disengages from Sphi and straightens hir overalls, specs, teeth, etc.* Wow. I'd give that a 1.5 on the Richter scale.
Willow... ah... if you're in there, happy birthday, love.

-covers her mouth and gasps-
Who's birthday?! My birthday?
-sets her teacup down and counts her fingers-
Will you look at that! It was my birthday! Well then, who's up for a cup of tea?

Um, no thanks. So what did you do for your birthday? Did you go anywhere? Did you get anything particularly nice?

-Shrugs and takes another sip herself-
Well, I received this neat little contraption which produces lovely music… and a shiny disk that does the same. Ummmm, I also got a notebook, a rose, sticky pictures of frogs, a letter from a friend in Japan and a few galleons. Oh yes, my mother promised to take me to the theatre once she gets the chance.
Hey, I'm trying to stay in character here.

I'm willing to watch just about anything! But I did read about this famous muggle play written by a... a... William Shakespeare, I believe is his name. The play is called A Midsummer's Night Dream, a comedy, and it sound absolutely lovely! Its closing night is on the 22nd and I hope I’ll get to watch it

("this neat little contraption which produces lovely music..."? You are so weird. )
Ooh, with Oberon and Titania and Puck...I've actually never read or seen Midsummer's Night Dream, but I've heard things. And I used to own that book, but I've misplaced it. Just like how I misplaced The Little Prince.
If you ever do go, tell us how it was! Sometimes theatres alter the play into their own kind of style. I saw two Shakespeare plays that were set in different times than was intended in the book; they were really cool.

Of course I am. Or rather insane at the moment.
Yes! I do believe that's the one! I too haven't read or seen the play, but I'm hoping that will change soon. And I've heard so many wonderful things about puck and the story in general. I've seen the advertisement picture for the show and I think they did modify it a bit. Artistic license they call it.

Yeah, I know the general stuff about the play. That's about it. Do you know what they changed about the one you're going to see?

I honestly don't know. I just studied the pictures and their costumes just seem more... modern? Perhaps I could hunt down the images for you? ((the web site?))
Ah, here we are. I just adore this theatre simply because it's relatively small so all the seats are technically good. This is their site: San Jose Rep.

*mildly* I've seen it done a few ways. *cough* The first time I saw it in doublet and hose, mind you, that was considered modern.
Do tell about the production you see though. I always love to hear about how the story is being translated on stage. I've had a couple of favourites over the years... but the one I saw just a year before coming to Hogwarts was terrific. Puck, who is usually played as a sprightly Pan-ish creature, was played as a slightly sullen gangsta boy in black leather with these two little girly blue strap-on wings that were obviously made for some 4-year-old's hallowe'en costume and looked utterly out of place on a grown man... *grins remembering* You should have seen the dripping sarcasm around the line "I go; see how I fly." Usually Puck springs off the stage with a glint in his eye, right? This guy turned around really, really slowly and slouched off with this "god, why do I get all the muck jobs" look on his face.... ;D
*realises s/he is waxing and shuts up*

[glow=green,2,300]((I am going to post OOC because I just have to. lol.))
We did a mid summer nights dream for our fall production this year. I was Hippolyta. (Should have been Titania but I honestly think this KT girl paid off the director cuz its not like she can act anyway.) Anyway! We did it in modern New York City-Central park with Jazz Music. And Puck is the greatest. My friend Andy played him and it was written for him. I swear. He had so much sarcasam and uh! It was great. And our set was awesome. We had all these little tunnels and such as the forest..where the fairies would hide. And we had some real trees on the stage. We had like 4 or 5 different jazz dance numbers and the sword fight between Demetrius and Lysander was put to music with all the fairies running around the stage. It was sooo much fun. That had to be one of the best performances we did because we just all had so much fun. And the day after opening night (Thursday) we got a pass to get out of all our classes and we slept in the tunnels. (There was carpet on the inside)Good times.[/glow]
