Cala, are you majoring in Visual arts or something of the sort? Some of your classes sound very interesting, like digital art for example... One of our courses was art and some of my classmates did some digital art, and it was completely amazing. I just never had enough patience for that kind of thing though. Painting is so much faster, and easier.
Your art must be quite good if you're selling it... Or maybe you meant art pieces you own, even if they're not yours. But let's pretend they're yours, since I said they were, eh?
What is ACen?
Good you found a new doctor... My friend keep urging me to see the school psychologist/counselor/chem teacher but she scares me. And so do all the people of her profession. The pscyhology one, not the teacher one.
And... oooh... I just got a letter from my future uni, like, 3 days ago. I got my student registration number, which is HUGE, it's like, the one for my high school multiplied by 6 or something... We got some coupons for the cafeteria too, some of my other friends who're going there and I are planning to start eating there to take advantage of them. And I defined my major... still need to know whether I can minor in bioethics, because maybe I won't be allowed to take most bioethics courses... if not, I can minor in physics, or in languages, or in chemistry. Any of those would do. I have to take these exams in May... the TOEFL, to see whether I'll be forced to study english or I'll be able to choose, say... Dutch... or Japanese... then a maths exam, a biology exam, a physics exam, and a spanish exam... oh and a computer science one. Supposedly they're super-hard and hardly anyone passes them... but I'm pretty sure I will pass all of them. Or maybe all but computer science, since I can't do programming or anything. I don't know any code and that sucks, unless you count HTML as code, but that's easy and doesn't count.
Oh, and I am going to be a ballot counter at the university elections. Crazy, eh?

Yes, I am majoring in Digital Media. I originally wanted to go into Illustration, but the Head of the major at Otis is a rude old crone who thought that my personal goal of wanting to publish and illustrate my own graphic novel was "too juvenile" and claimed that sort of thing isn't what artists do in Illustration. Man, every single SUCCESSFUL comic artist I've spoken with majored in Illustration, how is illustrating a comic any different than illustrating pictures to go along with magazine articles or children's books? Anyway, my strengths lie in working with traditional media (especially charcoal and oil paint), but I'm slowly getting the hang of photoshop and illustrator9.
Yes, I'm selling art pieces I've made (blessed be anyone who pitied me enough to buy them). The few art pieces I own will never be for sale, no matter how poor I am.
ACen is an abreviation of Anime Central, which is a convention for fans of Japanese animation. A friend of mine invited me to come with her since she will have an art table in the exhibition hall, which means I can sell some of my art at her table without having to pay for the spot and table itself. This also means other artists could possibly see my work, so even if I don't make much of a profit, I'm still networking.
Jungian psychiatrists are the only psychiatrists I can stomach since I'm familiar with their branch of studies. Unfortunately, this doesn't make the man I have to meet with on a weekly basis any less of a douche.

That whole major thing is very interesting, it really does sound interesting... here at home, one of our major unis specializes in everything design and arts... a lot of my friends are considering majoring in digital design, which I guess is at least a bit similar to your major. I s'ppose it's good you're getting the hang of digital media if that's your major, eh? I never did oil paint... and I always ended rubbing my charcoal pieces and they'd look awful. There's also this guy in my class who's going to Mexico City to major in Visual Arts at UNAM. I think he's specializing in photography... he's amazing, because he only just started taking pictures a while ago and he takes very good onces... He took a contest winning picture of my eye, for instance. *blushes*
I'm seeing the counselor now. My friend threathened me into going. Ever since Monday things have been happening very fast in that department, and I'm exhausted...
I went to an Anime Convention with a friend once...

Ok, so, double post, but it's been over a month. Besides, I've been away long enough to think you guys deserve an update, and I'm giving it to you now. I was at the hospital for the weekend 3 weeks ago. I left and started my tests for IB... I took the last one of those today. At first, during test, I also had to keep going to electronics class, and that sucked. My lowest grade this term was on that class, which is my easiest one. Now that IB testing is done, I have UNI PLACEMENT TESTS. woohoo. I'm taking physics tomorrow, the toefl on thursday, and a spanish one on friday. Between the toefl and the spanish one, I'm taking a little trip with my IB class. Only one night, but coolness. It's gonna be awesome, and I'm gonna cry soo much. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Then there's prom on saturday, and I'm actually excited about it. Which is weird, as prom is a dance. But yeah... and then holidays, might get a job at a summer camp... or maybe not. Dunno yet. And then more uni placement tests in July.... then uni in august.

Ah, life... it's so complicated sometimes.
Well currently I'm sitting in my room putting off my trip to the recycling center.
I have three weeks of school until summer. Woot! woot! Actually, though I'm taking two classes over the summer so I'll still have school. I get to go home though so I'm really looking forward to that. I really like home. Plus I get to see people I haven't seen in a while so that's always great.
My roommate's birthday is tomorrow so I'm being sneaky and gathering people together to plan a surprise of sorts.
When I'm bored I get out my water gun and squirt my friends... it's their fault for walking in the hallway. I think I might never grow up.
I'm taking a ceramics class. It's great because I get to play with clay. I'm not so great with the potter's wheel so that's a shame.
I've been trying to be studious and haven't watched a single episode of Smallville. I'm currently trying to work my way through Season 3. I borrowed the DVD set from a friend.
Oh, I'm proud of myself for having woken up at 7am when I don't have class until 11am. Go me. If people are still sleeping they might be wanting to kill me though, because up until a minute ago I was blasting music. Ha. My roommate claims I have some sort of sleeping disorder. She says it's wrong that I go to sleep later and wake up earlier than she does.
Not much else is going on. I'm debating whether I should start studying Italian, continue with French or do nothing...hmmmm.…

Life. What a pain.
I graduate tomorrow. Then I get launched into the "real world". Everything my teachers have been "preparing" me for. I don't remember being taught anything about job and apartment hunting however. I got a new job in the town I will be going to university and My roommate and I are still looking for an apartment.
I have a month to pack and move. I don't know if I will be able to do it....I have so much crap...lol.
I am the oldest girl in a family of four kids. I am the second oldest grandchild. On both sides of my family. The oldest is my cousin Jeremy who recently had his first child. soo...yeah my family is making a big deal about this whole graduating thing.
I'm just ready for it all the be over with.

I'm back. I feel as if I'm in a bubble where time doesn't past. I feel warm, fuzzy and secure in my bubble. I've been pretty laid back this summer despite the fact that I have two classes.
I currently like to complain about the heat and the drive to Irvine, and gas prices sometimes. (My Dad insists I cheated him. )
My apartment lease (for my very first place) starts in September. My future roommates are very excited. I should be happy, but I am honestly not very keen on the idea. I feel as if I'm not ready. I think I might be scared and I don't know why.
Other than that not much is going on right now. I get out of class next week, so I'll have a lot of free time to fill up until I move back to Santa Barbara.

I suppose I should update this, since life has changed a lot for me in the past year or semester or whatever. I'm no longer a weird and hyper high school kid, I am now a student in university, with one semester behind me and another 8 in front of me. (That's a loooong time.... I can't even picture myself by the time I graduate...) I'm getting a B. Eng with a major in Biotechnology. I had no choice (because of the way the school handles itself) but to minor in Administration. I'm also minoring in something else, eventually... Plus in some program, also minoring. Next semester I'm gonna join my major's soccer team and that kind of stuff.
And unlike all of you, I still live at home. Sometimes I sort of wish I'd been born in a smaller place so I'd get sent to study here. But no. Me and all my friends still have to live at home.
Oh, and the killers are coming on Tuesday, and I'm going to go. Funness. No love life worth speaking of.
Oh, and I've made friends with the most amazing group(s) of people at school. And well, those groups have the most amazing people, of course. They even sort of make me wish the next semester'd come soon, but not too hard. I'm taking at least one class with everyone, so that should be more than fun. =)
Also, I've been on holiday for a week and have recently very much enjoyed videogames and internet comics. As far as I'm concerned, everyone who hasn't seen dinosaur comics hasn't seen anything. (and no, I didn't discover them this week.)

Ahhh, Dinosaur Comics! I love them, they are so funny. I was thinking of getting the t-shirt they have on their website.
Tomorrow is the beginning of finals week here. I don't have exams, but I have an assload of papers to write. That, and I have to write and grade an exam for my class. It's been snowing a bunch here, living with 4 boys isn't so bad except that we are currently in need of washing a pile of dishes (seeing as everyone has been busy with work and nobody has been bothered), we have four video games systems in this house but the Nintento Wii has been the main attraction for the last month or so, I have started seeing a nice boy who I am ridiculously attracted to (and not in the stupid Bridget Jones-esque way), tonight I got a free dinner from my roommate (he was making burgers), my pet rats are fuzzy and I am six months away from a master's degree and currently writing a paper about robots. ;D

It's looking more and more like I will be enrolling in a preparation course mid-year this year so I can apply to do a Bachelor of Applied Science (MRS) Diagnostic Radiography.
That's right, I want to become a radiographer. ;D
Working at Lush has been fun, but I'm again at that stage where I realise there isn't anywhere much further for me to go with the job (one of the problems of being hired pretty high up the ladder to start with), and I've been really wanting to go to Uni for a while now. This will be something really new that will stretch my brain and be a challange.
That, and at the end I'll have highly sought after qualifications that can take me all around the world if I want (there aren't enough radiographers/sonographers to keep up with demand anywhere in the world at the moment) and I'll be able to get real job satisfaction too.

I'm eating some baked potato chips... they're pretty salty, I'm going to stop eating them now...
So I pretty much live in a world of confusion right now. I'm pretty busy most of the time with work and school. I was all set out to be a psychology major, but now I'm not so sure. I'm branching out this year and exploring other things. I'm thinking about political science or history. My political science is very interesting. I'm reading Plato, that makes me happy.
I'm really thirsty now.
So I'm just trying to get everything done and trying to balance my time right now. My friend asked me if I wanted to rush a sorority. Don't know about that. I'm thinking about applying to study abroad, but first I need to figure out what I want to study. Life is complicated. And my parents are being supportive and saying do what you want.

I like a boy and he's been friends with a friend of mine since high school only my friend is tired of her high school friends and for some reason doesn't want me to see any of them, so I'm pissed off at her currently, because who does she think she is, thinking she can tell me who to see or not? I happen to be friends with her high school friends! She also doesn't know I like this guy, and the way things are going, she's NEVER in life going to find out, unless of course we start going out as more than friends, but I doubt that's going to happen, soon anyway. I'm also thinking of applying to study abroad but I need to raise my GPA. stupid GPA... 84. So mediocre. They say you need an 80 to go abroad, but everyone knows for the really good schools you should be closer to 90. Preferably, of course, have a higher than 90. Was planning to get an 88 by the end of this semester, but that's looking pretty hard at this moment. Also I've been alive for 7011 days.

I just got back from Washington DC, where I got kicked out of the Pentagon, stole John Kerry's pen (or rather, a pen from his office), and almost got run over by Dick Cheney's motorcade. It was a really fun trip.

I just got a job at the contemporary art museum! I'm so excited, I'll be acting as a tour guide for schools on thursday and friday afternoons! Yay! My work week is really intense (I'm taking 24 credit hours, and my schedule is just... weird) , so I got lucky that all they really needed was a couple days a week for 3 hours, because I could make it. Can't wait 'til I get started in a couple weeks. It's gonna be great fun and all. I hope the burnout at the end isn't too bad...
