I got a GameCube the other day, and Super Smash Brothers Melee (Wahoo!), and I was talking to the guy at EB about Zelda games. He said that overseas customers who pre-ordered the upcoming Zelda game got extra Zelda "things" or something. Would somebody please fill me in, if you know anything about this?
Are there any other good Adventure/Fantasy/RPG games on GameCube?

Chocobos in FFX are so cool. They made a racing game out of that?! Do you get to be the FF characters on the chocobos? Riding big yellow birds sounds cool. It reminds me of how people go ostrich riding in Africa and stuff.
Err..the main character in the game's named Chocobo. Naturally, he's a chocobo. ;D There are other characters too, such as a Black Magician, White Mage, Behemoth, Goblin, and many more. Squall, Bahamut, and Cloud (is he from FF?) are there also, but you have to get through the Story Mode first to get them.
You just race as normal, only that you have special ablilities that will be able to be used as time goes by. There are magical stones that you can pick up too, and you can use them on your opponents, such as making them skid on ice, get hit by a thunderbolt, etc.
It's a pretty cool game, all in all.
BTW Nierme, I agree with 'Neko about the EBay guy.

Yeah, I've just emailed him agian via the Ebay site so they have record of me having done it. If he doesn't bother to reply this time, I'll just report him and give him the worst rating imaginable.
Anyway.....
You what I one of my favourite things about the older games are? The funky electronic music they have. ;D it's just cool. Even though some of was a little bit corny and it was pretty much always really repeatative, it was also the greatest. It always managed to set the mood just right.
And all I can do is think of the this that Andy used to have in his sig:
"Who says video games influence kids? If PacMan influenced kids from the 80's then by now we should have a bunch of teenagers who run around in darkened rooms eating pills while listening to monotonous electrnic music."

I don't know much about the newer games. My family used to have Nintendo, and a really old game that had bigger disks, and I don't even know what it was called. We also got a Sega but I didn't like the games on that one. We only had two or three and they were all yuck.
Ooh, then one time we borrowed a super nintendo from our neighbors for the weekend. My brother and I kept trying to get really high in a new version of Mario Brothers which we hadn't played before. We'd both be sitting in front of it the entire weekend.
My family never played these types of games much, but I have a really funny memory of all of us kids together in my brothers' room. My brother had taken a seat out of a van, and put it in his room as a couch ( : but it could only seat two or three people. So one person would play (guaranteed with a couch seat) and then the other five of us would sit where we could and wait for our turn. It was really fun. We'd talk about weird stuff, and I remember one time when we were eating our Halloween candy too.

I think I know the Mario Brothers game you're talking about Rue. That was a cool game. I really liked it. I think one of my fav games on super nintendo was the Mario Go Cart racing one. I had that game mastered!
Ummm....I don't suppose anyone knows where I can download that old Prince of Persia game do they? I've had this urge to play it since we started talking about it.

You could try www.download.com. I went there about 4 years ago, so I'm not sure if it'll work anymore, but I can check it out for you.
Erh... I couldn't find it, and I'm not sure what type of computer you have. But go there because it is cool, and then go into games by category or search for one in the search field.

Yeah, I go there sometimes for other things as well. I haven't seen that game there though. I'll have another look.
*runs off to look then comes back*
Nope. I'll keep hunting round on the net. I'll find it eventually. I wanna get the old PacMan game too. That was wicked. I would sit and play that for hours on end. Frogger was awesome as well. I have a feeling that I'm repeating myself.

My sister downloaded about 5 different versions of PacMan. She used to play it while online but everyone got mad at her for being online just to play computer games.
Ooh, you can download Prince of Persia at Kazaa! Even a Nokia version. Just under search you have to click the button for Software and then type the name in the search field. And I think if you go here www.kazaa.com/us/index.php you can download Kazaa.

*starts downloading*
Hey, cool. I wish I had both unlimited internet hours and downloads. At the moment I only have unlimted hours with 650meg of downloads. I want more!!
Hehe, anyway.....
I think my favourite computer games are strategy ones like Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, and Star Craft. I really wanna get Star Craft. It's so very cool.
Anyone here played Red Alert?

You have a limit to how much you can download? Hmm... I think I can download as much as I want, but I generally download songs instead.
I was always bad at strategy games, I did the memory ones instead. My mom says I picked to do the prime numbers on number munchers because I could memorize the answers and didn't have to do equations in my head.
So, ones that I could develop a talent for by doing the same thing over and over, like Mario Brothers, or the one with the ball that keeps hitting those rectangles at the top of the screen, and you're the moving bar at the bottom... I always dug those.

Have you been to Neopets Rue? They have tons of games like that there, all modifyed to fit with Neopets. If you haven't been, just click the link in my siggy. You have to join, but it's free and you get to make a cool little pet. ^_^
I think I like stratey games cos I like to plan stuff out, and I like how if you lose you just remember the mistakes you made and try to improve from them next go.

Yeah, I went to Neopets before. But... it sort of wasn't too fun after a few weeks, and then I found TD and I left Neopets for another board. Neopets was just too time-consuming in a "I am bound to you and you better come back to feed me every few hours or else I'll die" sort of way. I didn't like it much.

Age of Empires 1 & 2, Red Alert 1 & 2, Starcraft, Dune 2, Stronghold; all great strategy games. iloved the whole tank rush in Red Alert, just so you could run over the enemy base and win by sheer numbers. or Age of Empires where you had to manage an economy and then plan your invasion, and you just couldn't rush with one unit, say paladins, cause enough pikemen will takke them out. starcraf was great too, the music, the atmosphere and almost infinte possibilities with the three races. i haven't been able to play Age of Mythologies (whole $ thing, i only get bargain bin stuff), how is it?

Hey, did you know that Neopets has come out as a portable game thingy? You're supposed to use it in conjunction with the web neopets. What a load of cashing in bollocks from a giant corporation.
Having said that, I've got two neopets. It was Ele and Sammy's doing, they introduced me to the site! I don't really do much with them except feed them to stop them from sending me angry "Help! I'm about to die!" emails and stuff. And the games and worlds are kinda cute as well.
