Heh, Cal, if you spend a lot of time outdoors in summer, that's probably why your hands look old, especially if dishes aren't to blame. Mine are like that too, the soapy water gives them wrinkles and then the sun like, dries them out so I get wrinkle-lines on my hands.

I don't spend excessive time outdoors, nor do I do a lot of dishes. I'm pale and lazy. But I guess that's keeping my hands in the shape they're in. Although recently, because of the weather, my hands have become really chapped in some places.
can't think of a whole lot of things I like about myself. Can we be pessimistic now? There are a ton of things I don't like about myself. [/size]

*shrugs* Yeah, Sphi. I guess you could, but I don't think we should turn this into a self-bashing session... although I do have really stumpy fingers.

Hey (not to change the subject... well, sort of, but not quite) -- anyone ever do that thing where you think about what kind of animal people look most like? Well, I had this bizarre moment last night when I actually looked leonine. It was something about my upper lip -- I don't know how to explain exactly, but the way the light from the kitchen fell on my face as I was passing the bathroom (where there's a mirror) made me look, momentarily, leonine.
Usually I think of myself as looking equine.
Anyone else have a distinct animal-self-impression?

People totally look like/give the impression of animals.
I personally can't look at myself and say something, however, I have been told that I am either a fox or a lion.
Most people I know look like mice, rabbits, or birds.

Hey, I'm Drew Barrymore, remember? ;D
I really don't know that I look like a particular animal, and have never been told I do. I'd imagine that if anything, I resemble a deer, mostly because that's the animal I feel most in tune with. And I have big eyes.

I love my fingers. I cut my nails as so: /\ so they make my fingers look more slender and they look just so graceful. I also like my arms and my shoulders and my hair sometimes....though sometimes they ash blond-dullness bothers me. I like my feet cuz they're small and cute and I like my nose. It's a mix of my dads pointy nose and my mom's big and round nose so it turns out straight and then as if to be pointy but cuz of my mom it rounds out nicely. I also like my teeth cuz I got my braces off. ;D
I'm one of those rare teenagers who likes the majority of their body. I just really dont like my stomach (needs muscle...which I'm working on), my eyes (they are grey..dull grey) and I hate my thighs. Which I'm doing nothing about, cuz I don't care that much. I'm like blond-hair-blue-eyes kind of gal but off. So I'm not exactly blond and I'm not exactly blue eyed.
Please, no one take that in an arrogant way..that I listed lots of things about myself that I like...I just am content with my body and don't intend to change it with silicone or starving myself.

My favourite thing about myself is my grey eyes! Yay for the grey! ;D
I have discovered my one true talent, which I didn't think was a talent untill all of my friends saw me doing it and were all like Wow, how can you do that? The fact is, I can read while doing just about anything else. Well, not anything, but...I can read and watch T.V., I can read and listen to music (headphones and other) I can read while singing along with the music, I can read and do my homework, I can read in the dark, I can read while in the car, bike riding, etc, I can read and walk without bumping into anyone or anything....yay, Tasia, who's found her calling.

Lol, Tigress! My friend once cut her nails like that. She plans on doing that so that she can scratch people's eyes out. Or something like that. I guess you could say she's got a domestic cat impression. She also lurks around to freak people out, and leans on people randomly. ;D
She said I look like a penguin. A baby emperor penguin.

I look like some sort of small fluffy animal apparently. Well, I'm small, and yeah... once the hairdresser said I looked like a "little cat" because I have leopard spots in my hair, but I don't know what she's on about... I thought there was something distinctly rodentish about me but I don't know. Maybe it's because I had pet mice and I picked up some of their habits? *shrugs*
Oh, Ti, I hate my thighs as well. I have ham legs.

Ham legs?
I think most women (well, normal-sized women, anyways) are critical of their legs. I sometimes wish my legs were a little thinner, but generally, I'm glad that my legs are well-built and strong. (Comes in handy when you need to kick people. *evil grin*) They're not my favourite part of my body, but I like that they're strong.

See, mine aren't even strong, they're just fatty. I'm working on arm strength though because the fly system at my school can hold some heavy things and I need to be able to pull the ropes fast enough for shows. That and when we have strike I need to be stronger to be able to do funner jobs other than sorting the gels.
I have some kind of cat instinct in myself I've noticed. I cut my nails that way, I hiss when I'm pissed at someone, I love felines in general (I own two cats, my fav animal is a tiger) I think I was a feline in my past life or something.

I think I resemble a horse, at least personality wise. If I was an animal I'd be a really fired up, neurotic race horse. I'm very skittish and temperamental, always nervous of what's around the next corner and constantly looking over my shoulder. I hate confinement, get overexcited easily and I used to be a fast runner. I don't think I look like a horse....at least I hope I don't I don't know what animal I physically resemble. I think it's hard to judge yourself. Okay, I just asked a friend and they said I look like a vole. ;D

Huh. Women and thighs. I find nothing less attractive on a woman than skinny thighs. There are *cough* reasons for that... um... we'll just say that if a girl's going to sit on my lap (and I love that -- watching movies with someone curled up in my lap? oh yeah) I don't want some skinny, bony thighs and backside cutting off my circulation, you know?
Grant you, I do like muscular thighs. I have a thing for bicycle riders and dancers, and it's all about the thighs.
$5 says Calantha's fox/lion-ness has something to do with her hair colour?
Yay deer I mean, dude, I would love to be thought of as like an emperor penguin, but the best animal comparison I've gotten so far was 'grasshopper' I could live with deer, though. My eyes aren't that big, though I'm frequently told that when people start talking to me when I'm in the middle of a good book (which is most of the time -- go read-and-anything people!) I look startled the same way deer in headlights do
Horse? Really? I used to think I'd be a horse on the other end of the spectrum -- the quiet, sturdy, cart-pulling kind (that can kick a hole in the side of the barn if seriously spooked -- it's always the quiet ones, eh?). But I think that was an image I wanted, not one I had. My life is definitely too... fluctuatory? Fluctuational? In flux? and I flux with it So I'm on the hunt for a new animal mentor

And, for those of you who are thinking What the...?" at home, this is a vole:
Heh. I think I have the personality of some kind of large predatory animal, like a wolf or hawk or something. Like, I like being alone and stuff, and I have a very sharp instinct when it comes to spotting things and running with it...
Sphi, Ti: Ham legs are like, when your thighs are kinda thick and then by the time you get to your knees, they're bony and spindly. Sort of like a leg of ham. I despise my legs.
