[glow=3399CC,2,300]Last night I had a weird dream about a track meet (we had three track meets this week, so I'm not surprised that I was dreaming about it). I was sitting along the side of the track when this kid who's running (in a race) is jogging and talking to his coach, who he just happens to be passing. He isn't paying attention to where he's going and runs into me. Then, I get up and with an injured left arm (I remember his very clearly) I start running, when I wasn't even in the race. Then I win. Is anybody here a dream translator? Any ideas?[/glow]

OK this one's a bit complicated. And remember ALL of this is a dream. I'll add the real stuff at the end. I get to the tanning salon and go in to tan. When I come out my friend, Alfred is there. I'm talking to him about party I'm having that night. He smiles and says he can't wait. I talk to my friend, Erin, who works at the Tanning salon, about the party too. I start to head home when I remember I had left my towels at the salon. So I head back to the salon and pick up my towels. As soon as I walk in the owner's son, Zach, hands me gift. It's a white bag with black writing and red tissue paper. I ask Zach who had left it because there was no card and he said he didn't see the guy and it just kind of appeared. I opened it to find a coupon for a month of tanning ($40 value) and three bottles of bath & body works lotion. So I head home and change into a red party dress. As guests start to arrive I suggest we go outside and jump on the trampoline or just hang out. Just before we go out side I change into a green dress. I walk into the kitchen and my dad hands me a white bag with black writing and red tissue paper. I tell him we aren't opening gift until later but I was curious as to what this identical package holds. I open it to find a gorgeous mahogany jewelry box filled with diamonds and rubies. I go outside and my friend, Ben, and I are jumping on my yellow trampoline. Ben jumps up and grabs a tree limb and this long piece of white material falls, seemingly, from the sky and drifts to the trampoline. The top of it read, "Reasons why I love Jessica Michelle" At first I thought it was Ben's gift to me. But he shook his head. We all go inside and I set the material on the table. I change into a blue dress and come back to the kitchen to eat dinner. I ate grapes. When everyone was finished eating we decided to go outside again. I change into a pink and black and red dress this time and head outside. Just as I’m about to climb onto the trampoline it breaks and crack of thunder sounds overhead. Without warning water begins to pour from the sky. Everyone begins to run inside and just as we reach the door the rain changes to snow. I head inside and try to find my parents. They’re gone. I go back out side to see four tornadoes drop from the gray sky. I run back inside and strip off the drenched dress. I quickly find a pair of gym shorts and a gray basketball t-shirt. As I pull on the shorts I look out the window and watch the glass of the windshield of my car break as softball sized hail crashes from the sky. I freak out as the freight train like roar becomes louder and louder. I pull on the shirt only to find it isn't the one I picked out. This one is white and on the front in blue letters it reads, “Do you know who I am?” I look up and standing there is a guy a dream-knew as Andrew. “It’s you?” I say and he nods. “What took you so long Bella?” He asks using his nickname for me. “I thought it was Alfred.” “Are you sorry it’s not?” “Not at all.” I smile and crook my finger towards him. (I remember this very clearly.) He smiles at me and says, “Not now, babe, we don’t have time.” He walks over to me and wraps his arms around me. All at once the sounds of the storm vanish as I lay my head on his chest. He then tilts my chin up towards him and kisses me. This is the point I woke up at. Ok this is how I have made sense of it all. The day before I had this dream I had been at the tanning salon talking to Erin about my Masquerade party in September. Zach was there too and he was being his usual pain in the ass. I had seen Alfred that day also mowing. Alfred lives behind me and he is very very nice looking. I go to school with Ben so that was why I remembered him. I don’t have a yellow trampoline. ‘Andrew’ was a guy I had met at a One Act Play competition. He was very nice and I remember thinking he would make a great husband. Don’t ask me why. But he was in play a called Blood Wedding. His real name is Alejandro Rigalado. He was very good looking and his teeth were perfect. I went to www.dreammoods.com and found these definitions. Party - To dream that you are at a party suggests that you need to get out more and enjoy yourself. If the party is bad, then it indicates that you are unsure of your social skills. Gift - To dream that you receive a gift denotes your tremendous luck in fortune and love. You are being rewarded for a job well done and are held in high esteem by those around you. Friend - To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news. Clothing - To dream that you are constantly changing your clothes, represents the need for change and your need to fit into a new situation or role. You need to establish a new self-image. Man - If you are a woman and dream that you are in the arms of a man, suggests that you are accepting and welcoming your stronger assertive personality. It may also highlight your desires to be in a relationship and your image of the ideal man. Weather - To dream about the weather, signifies your emotional state of mind. Stormy or windy weather implies conflict and aggression. Rain and hail represents depression and sadness. And rainbows and sunshine signifies hope and happiness.

I can't believe nobody's had a dream worth sharing since may! Anyway, here's one I had last night, which was kind of disturbing in the sense I woke up nearly in tears.
I dreamt that my pet mouse Bunky was still alive, and he was well and everything, and we were in my room. I took him out of his cage and let him crawl around on my bed (which I used to do IRL sometimes, because he would like, explore all the bumps in the doona like they were hills and he was really good and wouldn't pee and poop everywhere ). So anyway, I let him roam around on the bed for a little while, and then something happened and I left the room. When I came back, I did my own stuff for a while (including sitting on the bed, etc. ) before noticing his cage with the lid open. I basically went and looked for him in the (empty) cage and in my bed. Then I found him under my pillow. He was dead, presumably squashed from my negligence.
I told my sister and she wonders if I feel responsible for Bunky's death IRL. Um... I don't know. I know that he lived a really long life and I usually spoilt him rotten. What's going on there?

Well, I think with anyone or anything we really love sometimes it makes the death easier to deal with if we can somehow tie the death to ourselves or something we did, like give their/its death a reason...so maybe this is your way of searching for somehow you could still have Bunky around or maybe trying to place your emotions in a certain place...isn't easy to blame something or someone than to just be "he was old"? It sucks a lot though...hmm...maybe because (and I might be making up this timeline...it's sorta vague in my memory) but you just started up with school again or something? Like you had a break? Maybe it's your adjusting period that is bringing it back up...from not having Bunky while your schooling anymore? Does that make sense? I'm probably way off.

i had this dream the other night...
I could see (from a birds eye view) a field and the trees on the edge and they were all turning colour because of the fall time. and in the corner there was this line of people all wearing black and crying. then i noticed this mound of dirt.
i then walked up to them and realized that it was all Alex's family (alex is my boyfriends name) and i went up to him because i could seethat he was crying and i kept asking him what was wrong and i kept tying to hug him, and it wouldnt work, then he just kept saying i cant believe shes gone over and over again and i realized that i was the only one of the group only wearing white. and then i looked and they put a headstone with my name on it. it was my own funeral/burial!
i started to cry, and it just hurt me so much that i couldnt reach alex or anyone else to thell them that it would be okay. and i started to cry really hard. i actually woke up with a soaked pillow. thats how the entire dream went, it was really saddening.

Whoa, Li. Dreaming about your own funeral must be seriously creepy! Anyway, I looked this up on the web for you at www.dreammoods.com and it said this (which isn't so bad):
and:
So, yeah... does that help? ___________________________
Anyway, I had a really disturbing dream not last night, but the night before, and the weird thing was, it repeated itself a few times.
I was at an execution.
It wasn't my execution, but I was in a prison (as a visitor, I gather) and there were three tiers of cells. On the middle tier, at the end was a big steel door, and if you go through that, it takes you to a big, warehouse-looking room with dark grey walls.
Anyway, so in this room, when I enter through the door, I'm standing on the second floor (more like a tier, because it has a railing overlooking the ground floor) and, at the other end of the room, there are four nooses and four people (who I don't know) standing behind them. They're standing on the floor, not like on a platform or anything, and I'm gathering the floor would open or something to hang them.
I move a bit closer, and the executioner says, "I'm going to put the noose around your neck now" to the people there. Then he says, "now I'm going to open the trapdoor, and you are going to die."
At that point, I think I didn't want to see the hanging so I walked back out through the steel door, into the main prison. A few moments later, I go back in and there is a big steel wall hiding the hanging from me, but I talk to another guy who is standing there and he says, "The prison is filling up with blood, we have to go". My first response is, "um, since when did hangings involve blood?" but then I saw the blood oozing out under the wall and I run back into the main prison.
The blood is coming under the door and covering some of the walls on the bottom tier, so I run to the stairs (which would take me to the bottom tier and then out of the prison) and there's like, a hospital reception area type thing with carpet and potplants at the front of the prison. I run through this are and they release all the other prisoners, who start running riot and everything. I go outside and people and rioting on the streets and trying to kill each other and stuff. And then that whole scene played over about 4-5 times in my head.

Thanks Ko, i will really have to think about that. I always point fingers in one direction.
in a dream If one has to deal with blood-- they need to be aware of their own strength
a noose in a dream can mean you feel trapped
for a young woman living at home it can represent fear of becoming trapped in that home. (although i believe you are on your own?)
A noose can also symbolize spiritual harnessing.

Yeah, my parents live overseas. Wow, me being trapped in my own home? I wonder if it counts that I have basically been holed up for the last week or so working on assignments...? That'd be weird if it made it into my dream as an execution.

that would be kind of weird. But you never know quite the possibility.

I had this really weird dream. (Notice how many posts in here start with that? )
As some of you know, I have two pet fish as of yesterday. Yesterday I set up the tank with gravel and plants and one of those bubbly air thingies. Last night I had this really freaky dream that the fish grew to monstrous proportions and stuff, and I went into my room and there was water everywhere and tanks everywhere with all these freakish creatures in them. One particularly creepy looking thing was like a thing that looked like big round happy face heads on every with skinny humanoid bodies. There was another that looked like a big blue hand with seven fingers. Then I think I woke up... but it was really weird.

I had this really weird dream.(the tradition continues)
It's going to be hard explaining it and BEWARE NO 1! I often have weird dreams. Blame that on the imagination.
So I find myself walking in a street and it's raining, and I do mean raining. The rain has caused a sort of river and there's a bridge. My family and I were trying to return home, but we couldn't because of the rain.(Wait! Deja vu! I dreamt this before. BEWARE NO 2! I often dream things which I dreamed before or have deja vu's) There was this guy with his father who were trying to get home too. There was a sort of staircase on the left side which would have enabled us to get away from the water and home anyway. But the staircase had never been built entirely. So I find myself, wading in water, having to pull my trousers up so it won't get wet.
Then....complete change of scene.
I find myself running and I'm a soldier from WWII!!! I can hear this voice just like the guy who does commercials on Discovery Channel for programs which will be shown in the coming week etc. So it's like "We'll discover the world of Hitler, and go deep in the secrets of (the name was a woman's but I can't remember it right now)" And I'm running, and I go in a passage. All the time I'm thinking "God I'll get caught!" But nobody notices because hey, I'm dressed like a soldier. I see this soldier coming at me from the other side so I take a side street and continue running. Then I go in this house, and in a chamber there's a man and gas is emitted. He starts laughing, and then, poof! He falls, dead.
Then I woke up, my alarm was going off. 6:45 AM! Wakey wakey girl!
It was very weird, and I repeat, I often dream stuff like this but I still can't get the meaning. It's no deja vu for sure, because as I said most of my dreams usually turn out like that; but this one? I dunno.

Maybe the wading water part has something to do with working through a problem where there isn't a clear cut way to fix it? And the WWII part, perhaps it is you feeling as though you're on the outside of an issue looking in?
*shrugs* I've never been very good at deciphering dreams...but maybe?

Yeah the water one could be that. I've never been able to understand my dreams myself, thinking they're just a product of my imagination. Sometimes I dream stuff to do with the book I'm reading, or something I've watched on TV. What I find weird though is that I had already dreamt this before. According to me brother, I should have kept on sleeping to see what was going to happen, which wouldn't have counted anyway, because as far as I can remember, the dream changed on its own.
I'm afraid I couldn't quite comprehend the seeing things from an outside issue part.

As much as I have really weird dreams, I may not me the right person to decipher them. But I'll try.
Perhaps Li, it might have some connection to what you said in one of the threads in St. Mungo's, or it could be something you fear might happen.
