*notices the newcomers* Oh hi! I'm glad you could come! We were just talking of which pet would suit best for Cal. A new shop Cal. Which? I'd gladly come with you, if you want.
And of courase I'll help, we know each other right, so just ask if you need anything.
*opens a small cabinet and produces a bucket* I got it specially packed and brought form Honeyduckes. These are from thier best selections. *opens it* Please take. I can't eat them all by myself. Besides, I'd rather share.

*eyes widen with glee at the sight of the goodies being offered*
Thanks! These look delicious!
It's nice to meet you Cal and Ceridwen. Hermione introduced herself to me very shortly after I arrived at Hogwarts last week. I'm not officially a Gryffindor hopeful yet, but I will be applying soon. What kind of pet are you leaning towards, Cal? I'm going to have trouble deciding between an owl and a cat...

Thanks, Hermoine!
*mfff*
*swallows her Honeyduke's fare before continuing*
Ooo.. I think I'd go for an owl, MagPie, given that choice. I'm not really a cat person... though I do admire their beauty and their free spirit. I haven't really thought about what pet I would like - I'm thinking some sort of bird, too. A falcon, maybe.
*eyes up the Honeyduke's bucket, and then realises she will soon resemble a robed basketball if she doesn't stop taking the goodies people offer her*
So, Cal. What were you thinking of getting?

OOC: You can apply for a house, just when you arrive, but you must have 100 posts to be accepted. See? BIC:*sees Ceridwen eye the bucket* Hey take all you want. I get a special delivery every few days. I think Cal was thinking of getting a cat. Well owls are dead useful, you know, carry your post and stuff. In my case, I have this little thing.*strokes Aarden's feathers again* Don't you like being stroked you little pet? *looks at her with lovign affection*

Ohhhh... *eyes the candy* Chocolate... *grabs a piece*
Well, to be honest, I wasn't real sure at first but I'm thinking about a cat...I've inquired at a shop owned by a fellow Gryffindor who specializes in demonic animals, so hopefully she'll be able to get one...minus the demonic part.
Always been a dog person, but a cat just seems more fitting right now. And we always have the Owlery if we need to send off for things and such.

I'm both a cat and a dog person, so having a cat would make me happy. And I was thinking the same thing about the Owlery...plus, cats are easier to snuggle up with at night. There's no hooting to keep you awake

*knocks on the door, and then pokes her head around (with Bunky sitting on top) when she heard voices inside*
Oh hi, everyone! I just came by to say hi and drop of a roomwarming present for Hermoine...
*she hands Herm a small silver box with stars and comets engraved on it. When opened, it creates a small (and harmless) meteor shower around the room*
Anyway... so, how are we all? Oh, forgive me, I don't think we've like, actually been introduced. I'm KoNeko, and this here is my little friend Bunky the Badgermouse.
*she offers her hand to Cerid and Mag, while the black and white mouse hops onto her shoulder, his whiskers twitching as he caught their scent*

*drags attention away from the gorgeous meteor shower, and shakes KoNeko's hand*
Hi! It's great to meet you. I've seen you around, of course, but I don't think we've properly met.
*extends a finger to Bunky the Badgermouse, who shakes it, gravely*
And I'm pleased to meet you, too, Bunky.
That was a beautiful gift you brought for Hermoine - I feel kinda bad for not bringing one myself *grimaces* - but I'm sure I'll get her again sometime.
*indicates the bucket of Honeyduke's*
Hey - why don't you dig in?

*grins at the Honeyduke's candy* Well, I suppose I don't have to be asked twice... ;D
*she helps herself to some (regular) toffees and hands Bunky a few cookie crumbs*
So... what brings you to Hogwarts, Ceridwen?

*swallows her fifth candy hurriedly*
Well... *cof* I come from a family of Druids, you know, and they operate using Old Magic, the magic of trees, and the cycle of the moon, and whatnot, all of which is great and effective, but ever since my second oldest brother Lir was attacked with an engorgio charm one day .. *stops to take a breath* .. by a friend of his during an argument, my parents decided to contact Professor Dumbledore, and so Lir, and me and my sisters Rhiannon and Arianrhod have studied here. It's only my oldest brother, Bran, who missed out, but he's a full Druid now. I guess it's an unorthodox entry to the school! *grins* But I'm glad I'm here. It means I get to be immersed in my family's magic at home, and learn the New Magic here, the one which is based on charmwork, and spells. The magic I'm used to is more potion and incantation based.
*crumbles a cookie in her hand, and lets Bunky nibble around for a few choice morsels, while popping another candy in her mouth*
And how about you?

*grins* Wow! That's a fascinating story! I've never met a real druid before...
Well, as for me, it's a rather long story, but basically, I'm supposed to be here for my own (so they say... : protection, because I'm an animorphmagus, which means I can turn into one of a particular group of animals. I'm usually a siberian tiger, because that's what I'm most comfortable with, but I can also break up my stripes to become spots and turn into a leopard, or sort of "colour in" the white parts of my fur to turn into a panther. Apparently it's quite rare to be able to do this (also because my dad happens to be a muggle), but my maternal grandmother was an animagus herself, so I suppose that it skips a generation in my family...
Anyway, I'm rambling here. To cut to the chase, I'm here because the ministry has a nasty habit on trying to keep tabs on what it can't control, so I'm sort of hiding out here and learning magic. So... anyway... that's about it. There's quite a few of us in my position, being tracked my the ministry and all- we have a little club on the grounds called the Fountain of Magical Brethren, if you'd like to check us out.
So... *clears throat* Kind of ironic how I ended up with a pet mouse, huh?

*chews quickly, her blue eyes round wide with wonder, then swallows what she swears to herself will be her final candy*
Wow! That's amazing. Among Druids, the ability to become an animal is really rare, but one of my great-great grandfathers was able to do it. He could to become a Giant Elk at will, because he was a Sentinel, one of the messengers of Danu, a goddess in my country.
*lowers eyes*
But he's dead now, because the elks were hunted to extinction many years ago. Once his wife, my great-great grandmother, died, he stayed in elk form, and he was caught one day.
*sighs a bit, then perks up again*
That's an amazing skill, though, I'd love to be able to become an eagle at will, or something like that. I didn't know that about the Ministry of Magic - at home, we don't really have anything to do with the Ministry, so I'm only learning here, as I go along. *looks at KoNeko sympathetically*
Hey, little man! *to Bunky, still rooting in her palm for crumbs* How do you like having a big ol' C-A-T for a mistress, hmm?
*laughs*

Neko!! Hiya.
*takes the silver box* Oh wow!! It's beautiful!! Look at the sparks go. Thanks Neko! *hugs her*
So... you can take any animal shape you like? Wow!! *looks at the pet mouse* Hello lil' guy! Hear, take some of this.*offers Bunky some fudge. He gobbles it down in a strife* He likes it! Here take some more.
Back to the subject, I just came here, you know like any normal student does, with a bit exceptions here and there, since I'm not what you call normal(is anyone like that here, no offence but everyone seems to have a special ability). But I get along.
So Neko, you like my room? Just to get other people's view you know. The red sparks are gonna go super with the stars.*motions to the ceiling*

*Gulps and finally manages to squeak out a greeting*
Hi KoNeKo...n-nice to meet you. I, um, wasn't being rude, I just had a...really horrible experience with a badgermouse before I came to Hogawarts so....I mean...Bunky seems nice and all, but so did my...uh...cousin's badgermouse and...well, I'd rather not go into details...

Oh, it's ok, Mag. Bunky's too old to be scary and vicious... he spends most of his time eating and sleeping, but if you're worried about what he'll do, I'll make sure he doesn't come near you, ok?
*she makes a clicking noise with her tongue and Bunky crawls onto her hand, and she puts him back in a little box in her pocket, and then drops a crumbled-up biscuit in after him*
Hey, Herm, your room is awesome, I have to admit it's a bit more... red than I would have liked (hehe, what do you expect from a Huff? : but yeah. I love the ceiling. It's awesome. Did you do that yourself? You have to teach me the charm for that one day. And no, I can't turn into any animal I want, although I wish I could! I'm restricted to large cats, pretty much, so it's not like I have heaps of variety.
