"But wouldn't it be more fun to actually make the lolly-filled [thing]. Adds a bit of [something] to it And maybe instead of hitting the [thing] with a bat, we hit it with a Quaffle "

Oh! That would be fun! We might have to move outside to do that...say...Fox Gardens or something to be able to hit that...but I'm all for going outside.
Hey! Can I just say a very warm welcome to Rhi into our wonderful house?

Hmmm, what if you make the pinata really strong, with one weak point (like in one corner or leg or something) so that stuff will come out of there, but not the rest of it? I don't know, I'm really bad with constructing stuff. I mean, I'm a lawyer, not an engineer or something.
Yay! Congrats, Rhi, on getting accepted (I would have recommended another house but I don't want to get bludgeoned by people testing out the pinata whacking skills )!
*shuffles into the corner with a stack of old newspapers and hands some to Rubes to tear strips out of*

*prances into the room*
WEEEE HI! *is hyper because she just had a few pieces of candy*
*continues to prance around the room, narrowly avoiding knocking anyone else over*
Oh, and thank you Calantha and Koneko!

*comes back in, after hearing all the plans for the pinata* i'm game!! i think hitting hit with a Quaffle is a fantastic idea... hitting it with bats and sticks would get boring real quick, really fast.
*helps to tear paper into strips*

"I didn't expect that You wouldn't be interested in playing Quidditch now, would you Lynn? We could use another player. And that goes for anyone from any House"

*gives Rubes an odd look*
Why? Do people generally not like your ideas? I think you have great ideas. *hug*
Hey, how 'bout we make it quite big, so that we can fit all the prizes in? But we'll need quite a big balloon then.
*sets to tearing the newspaper to strips*
H'm... I haven't a clue about the 'weak spot' debate, though. There must be some enchantment we can do to make a present appear each time the pinata's hit, but... *puzzlement reigns*
I sure as heck don't know what it is!

Yeah!! A very wondeful welcome to our NEW fellow Gryff!! RHI!!! Here have a butter beer and oh, this is for you. Just a little something.
*Cer gives an oh I know what it is. as Rhi opens you can see it's one of those crazy ogiums! ;D This time it is emblzoned with beautiful fluffy clouds and suns. When the thing supposed to be a cookoo comes out it shows a normal sun which starts in an eclipse.* Each hour, the eclipse continues it's procedure I hope you like it. ;D
I agree we go outside, and Fox's gardens sound great. Oh, I think I know the charm to make one item pop out each time, just give me a quick sprint to the library.

Weyhey! Those lunarogiums are so pretty. I bought one the other day, too. Great choice, Hermoine!
And from me *fumbles in her robes, eventually removing her hand with a flourish* I have this for you.
*holds up a small red crystal on a chain, which has a golden clasp*
It's a bit like the Gryff colours, and the stone's supposed to bring joy to the wearer.. so I thought you'd like it.

"I didn't expect that You wouldn't be interested in playing Quidditch now, would you Lynn? We could use another player. And that goes for anyone from any House" *picks Rubes back up* depends, what positions are open?? and that idea works, because it'll be more challenging to hit a pinata with a Quaffle... plus, no one will have to be blindfolded.

*thinks* I don't know how well Fox Gardens would work now that I'm thinking about it...we wouldn't want to mess anything up if we hit the quaffle at something...maybe we could go...oh I don't know...to the Pumpkin Patch instead? It's got a big field and everything... Pllluuusss...hot apple cider...and I don't know about you guys, but I'm up for some of that!

Yeah, the Pumpkin Patch! I was just down there and it's pretty deserted...We'd have plenty of room and we wouldn't be interrupting events already in progress!
*To Rhi* Oh, and good job, btw!

OK, so when we're done, we'll be off to The Pumpkin Patch. Now, where do we start? Anyone know what we're supposed to do?
