I went into the movie eagerly awaiting the first breath and the first "yes, master", but I found the little unexpected things even cooler, like Grand Moff Tarkin from IV being on the bridge of the star destroyer at the end, Darth Vader standing in front of those famous star destroyer bridge windows, Anakin offering to take out the Emperor and rule the universe with Padme just like he eventual does with Luke - all great stuff!

So, most reviewers in my country say the movie isn't any good, despite what us die-hard fans say. According to them, the acting is terrible and the plot is too lame. I was petrified when I read that. What happens is that reviewers over here are too conceited, they believe that they know more about cinema than everyone else, and so their opinion is the only thing people will give any credit. And so they can go on and destroy movies and influence people's thoughts about them - people don't like to think for theirselves that much over here.
The thing is that reviewers like to cling to stereotypes, and they don't see past those stereotypes. For instance, when Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban came out, this critic said "Oh well, and last but not least, we have the latest on the Harry Potter franchising, which I won't even bother to review since it's always the same thing". He didn't even bother to go and see the movie and try to see the visible differences between PoA and the previous movies which, I agree, weren't that good. He believed in the idea that Harry Potter movies and books are always the same, he shared the opinion that the movies were huge blockbusters (which they are), and completely put the thing aside, generalising and not criticising.
So what happens is that critics saw the previous Star Wars movies, didn't like them, and assume this one is the same thing all over again. And they are so sure about it, that they don't try to see past that assumption.
I think it's ridiculous, but I'm a little radical who's against almost everything, as people here already know

Strange how different countries have different overall reactions. Here in the states, the response to I and II was fairly mediocre, but III is getting some pretty stellar reviews. It helped me get extra excited for this one!

Never watched any of the Star Wars before, but a friend showed me this and I thought it was hilarious. ;D
