Yeah, people who have never read the book and have only seen the original movie will probably be a little shocked at the new version.

Oh man. I want them to keep the musical numbers in, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. And I hope they do a better job with those oompa loompas! The original ones totally freaked me out.

This is sort of changing the topic, but another movie I'm looking forward to seeing is the Bewitched movie starring Nicole Kidman as Samantha and Will Ferril as Darin Stevens. As far as looks go, I can see why Will Ferril was chosen, but from the type of acting he does. . . I guess I'm just a bit wary of how good of a Darin he'll end up being. But I loved the show Bewitch since I was a young girl/teenager, so I definitely have to see the movie when it comes out. I think Nicole Kidman was a really good choice for Samantha. I think she'll do a good job.

Bewitched?
Are they redoiing that one with Bette Midler in it?
Or am i thinking something totally different?

No, Bewitched was a t.v. series in the, um... *thinks* You know what, I'm not sure of the year exactly. In the sixties, though. The first season or two was in black and white and the later ones went in color. Elizabeth Montgomery was the one who starred as Samantha Stevens, whose character was a witch that married a regular, mortal man named Darin Stevens.

Oooh! Are they going to have Tabitha in it as well? And who? I used to love old reruns of bewitched as a kid, but I couldn't wriggle my nose to save myself.

I'm not sure if they're going to have Tabitha in it or not. I imagine they would, but the website doesn't give out a cast list, just actor names, and I'm not familiar with all the names they have listed.
I couldn't ever wriggle my nose either. I think that's why I loved pretending to be Jeannie better, because I could just fold my arms and blink. That was a lot easier:)

Yeah, that "Boooiiiinnnnggg!" noise that accompanied Jeannie's magic thing was so cool, we'd use to do that too. Like you put your arms together and do the nod thing and go "boooiiiinnnnggg!"
Will Farrell as Darren? Hmmm...

*laughs* yeah, I totally did the "boinggg" sound when I blinked my eyes! Hehe, I'd also pile my hair on top of my head, stick it in a bun, and then take my stockings and put it over the bun so that way I'd have a long ponytail of "hair" like Jeannie had, and I could swish it around and stuff.
I know, I'm not sure about Will Ferrel being Darin. In the only trailor they have of the movie (which is just a teaser, really, it doesn't show any clips from the movie), he has a tiny bit of dialogue, and. . . I'm trying hard not to judge his performance based on those few words he said, but. . . he just still looked like Will Ferrel being naive, not Darin Stevens being creeped out that his wife was doing witchcraft.
Here's a link to the trailor: www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/bewitched

I have yet to enjoy a TV show-based movie other than "The Fugitive" (that I can immediately remember offhand), so I have to maintain some reservations about "Bewitched".
I want to see Peter Jackson's version of "King Kong"!

I've looked it up and I've found the full cast list of Bewitched and there's also the link to some trailers: Bewitched
I really liked it when they aired it for a while in summer on an Italian channel, though since the name was totally different, I couldn't quite understand what you guys were talking about until you mentioned the nose part.

I was interested in Bewitched as well, but when I found out it's going to be nothing like the TV show... I completely lost intrest.
I am looking forward to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It'll be nice to see the difference of this movie to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, like how much darker it will be.
Another Tim Burton and Johnny Depp colaboration I'm looking forward to is the clay animated Corpse Bride. Ever since Nightmare Before Christmas, I've been hoping that Tim would do another clay movie. From what I saw of the trailer... looks pretty good.
That's what I'm looking forward to.

The Night Watch looks like an impressive movie, at least visually.
Also, Chronicles of Narnia: L, W,&W looks quite good. Perhaps the Disney company will be able to redeem themselves afterall.
and of course, Corpse Bride. Little claymation Johnny Depp is good anytime.

Hey, I saw the trailer for Wallace and Gromit last night at the movies. It looks hilarious. The premise of the story basically is around this rabbit problem in the town or something and Wallace and Gromit have to clean it up. There's this pretty funny scene when Wallace makes a giant female rabbit and straps it to his car with ropes on its arms and legs and the other end is attached to Gromit and he has to "seduce" the were-rabbit to come out. Heh. I won't say more than that but it looks like it'll be pretty damn funny.
Helena Bonham-Carter and Ralph Fiennes will also be voicing characters in it. The movie is due out in October this year.
The website is: www.WandG.com. You can watch the trailer there too!

I can't wait for...the Corpse Bride....13 days, baby! Johnny Depp is one awesome man! ;D Also...Pirates of the Carbbean 2 &3...although i am kind of wary on whether they'll be as good as the first, i just cant get enough of both bloom and depp in one movie. PoC is one of my alltime faves, so these sequels better live up to it.
