*blushes as a light bulb comes on inside her head* ohhhh yeah. Wow I completely forgot about that, that's when JKR opened her door on her website and we got to peak inside and it was really exciting and stuff. Thanks for being a sweetheart Herm and re-posting that for me and my lousy memory
Hmm...you know what? Everyone's trying to make that out to possibly be the HBP or not, but. . . has the idea been brought up (and I apologize if it has), but maybe that's the new DADA professor being described.

(I think it has been discussed before but....) I'd personally put a good bet on the fact that, it's a description of the new DADA teacher. He could be a member of the Order of the Pheonix or a friend of Dumbledore (....I wonder, could it be Dumbledore's half-brother Aberforth..?). I'd also be prepared to bet on the fact that the guy is from Gryffindor and there is a 7/10 chance that he might be the HBP.

Personally, I think that description fits the DADA teacher as well, or perhaps Godric Gryffindor. If I'm not mistaken, Harry has never seen his face before, unless he saw it on a chocolate frog card or something.
And it's not a problem moira my dear. I'm glad to help.

Yeah, we've guessed before that the guy in the description is both the new DADA professor and the HBP. But we'll just have to wait and see.

Oy, forgive my repetition of the argument, then. My memory has returned.
You know one thing I have noticed for myself, when I have tried to have discussions with people at work regarding the HBP (like when that quote came out and when JKR Rowling said who wasn't the HBP) I just haven't been able to have good discussions with a lot of them because they refused to listen to what JKR said (Like they'd say "Well maybe she's just saying that!"). So for refreshing HP discussion, I really enjoy coming here. You can actually, you know, discuss and make it meaningful.

I still think it's Snape The Adult Cover has a Potions book on it so.. am I stupid to think that fundaments my theory?

Hm...why would they put a Potions textbook on the cover? Your theory could make sense.
Mugglenet posted this rather cheesy video of JKR signing the first copy of HBP to be sent to New York and officials securing it in fancy cases and such. Here are some tasty screenshots. ;D You can even see the inside picture...looks like a goblet and some diary or textbook...

Yeah they showed that on the news yesterday! And I went , because it would take a miracle for our news too say something about HP, and especially something without mistakes.
I saw another picture, while JK was signing the books, and it has a piccie of her in it, and you can see clearly how thick the book is.
Ever since you brought up the Snape theory Rita, I've really started thinking it could be Snape, even more than the HBP being Remus. And it would be pretty cool really, because more Snape = more Alan Rickman. ;D
I've just found the whole cover of the deluxe edition:
It's quite cool really. I wonder what the knife stuck to the tree above Harry's head mean? And I had the suspicion that man on the back was Peter Pettigrew.
OOC: Also, out of respect for all the HP fan sites who pay for all the bandwidth, I have started uploading all the images to my own photobucket account. Just thought I'd let you all know.
Edit:
I had to edit the post because 24hrs haven't passed yet. Bloomsbury have just released the blurb on the back cover of the UK HBP, the one I'm getting yeay!!

Just saw them on Mugglenet...so excited! I was a little apprehensive to read the summary of the UK version, to be honest, because I really don't want to spoil anything or ruin the experience this time. It's the second-to-last HP book, and I want to make the most of these last few years. The summary doesn't give away much, though, so that's good...
As for the US deluxe version's cover, at first I was thinking that that was just Hagrid and his cottage, but the more I look at it, I want to say that it's the HBP (the lion guy with the limp, possibly also the DADA prof?) and his hideout. Or something like that.

[glow=orange,2,300]5 HOURS TO RELEASE....OH I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY COPY TOMMOROW MORNING [/glow] Check this out, a video of the first edition signed copy of HBP travelling under high security from England to New York, I was laughing to bits after seeing the amount of security on that book. www.scholastic.com/harrypotter/funstuff/video/index.htm
Also, take a look at this hilarious (but perhaps not unrealistic) comic strip:

Hehe, that's the way I'm feeling right now, except for her comments of course. OMG!! 5 hours to go!! I'm getting it at 1AM!!! When I saw it written I went, "What?! Everyone's getting it at 12!!" But then I realised that if we got it at 12, we'd be the first in the world to get our hands on it. (excluding people from Australia)
