Among the curious shops to be found in Lytter Alley, there is a shop with a modern-looking sign outside reading "The Language Lab". Showing through the front window is a huge book propped against the wall, with a gold title reading, “The World Dictionary”. Adjacent to it is a sign with two words, “Now Hiring!” From inside, emissions of bright light often appear, followed by complete stillness again. When you see that no light emissions are appearing, you creep closer to the shop. Opening the door, you notice that there are various tables with lamps and chairs drawn round them, and shelves upon shelves of books, which appear to be in different languages.
On the counter is a small glass owl, which as a customer approaches it, starts speaking in a friendly manner with many a “Bonġu! Hello! Bonjour! Ciao! Guten-tag! Ola!” Hung up on the wall beside the counter is a board with the following words written on it:
Language Consultations(composing of phrases or a number of sentences...)5-15 Sickles Essay Reviewing...1G
“Welcome to the Language Lab! The enquiry place for any language-related question. How may I help you? I am only a student, but I’ll try my best to help you in the most efficient way I can.”

*enters the newly opened store carrying a houndstooth bag and a few sheets of paper*
*spots the glass owl* Aw! How cute! I wonder if I can get one...
Hello? *tries to peak behind the counter, but only sees darkness*
*decides to introduce herself to the owl, since it looks so happy anyways * Hello there! I'm actually here about that Now Hiring sign outside. I was wondering if I could get a job here. I don't know if I'm a very reliable worker, and I don't know if I can answer any question regarding languages, but I certainly love languages. I can help people with English (as in grammar questions, etc.), Spanish, or Latin. Hm...I'll wait until the owner gets back.
*moves to one of the small round tables in the corner, sits down, and takes out her copy of Amores*

*comes from behind a big library-sort shelf.*
Sphi! It's so good to see you! Sorry, I just had a bit of a problem earlier with getting some books sorted.
*the glass owl turns to look at them, and speaking in normal english it says, with many fluttering of its wings* The young miss would like to work here.
*turns to Sphi, smiling* Really? That's great!

AH!! I want that owl!
*cough* So I'm hired?! *grin* Thanks! So I guess I'll just hang around these tables once in a while, in case someone comes in for help.
*continues eyeing the glass owl longingly* ;D

*Zicdeh cheerfully walks into the store* Hey guys! I was walking past, and couldn't help but notice your "Now Hiring" sign on the door. Just thought I'd drop in and apply for a job. I can speak a couple of languages, although I'm not as fluent as I might like. I can speak Korean well, and my Russian is OK, I suppose. I can also speak a little bit of Icelandic- but my skill in that particular language is rather......diminished

Oh hi Zicdeh! Well you certainly seem to know your languages. Business is rather low, but of course you can join us. We could make a threesome!
*she gets up from behind the desk and pins a note on the noticeboard reading:
"Join the ABC League Today Home for All Language Knights"*
