guess i will restart then EH?
if anyone was watching canadian idol, there was this one night i turned it on and happened to hear a beautiful song, called Good Mother by jan Arden
I've got money in my pocket I like the color of my hair I've got a friend who loves me Got a house, I've got a car I've got a good mother and her voice is what keeps me here
Feet on ground Heart in hand Facing forward Be yourself I've never wanted anything No I've, no I've, I've never wanted anything so bad...so bad
Cardboard masks of all the people I've been thrown out with all the rusted, tangled dented God Damned miseries You could say I'm hard to hold But if you knew me you&'d know I've got a good father And his strength is what makes me cry
Feet on ground Heart in hand Facing forward Be yourself I've never wanted anything No I've, no I've, I've never wanted anything so bad... so bad
I've got money in my pocket I like the color of my hair I've got a friend who loves me Got a house, I've got a car I've got a good mother and her voice is what keeps me here
Feet on ground Heart in hand Facing forward Be yourself
Heart in hand Feet on ground Facing forward Be yourself just be yourself just be yourself
Feet on ground Heart in hand Feet on ground Heart in hand

Vertigo U2
Uno, dos, tres, catorce Turn it up loud, captain
Lights go down It's dark, the jungle is Your head can't rule your heart I'm feeling so much stronger Than I thought Your eyes are wide And though your soul It can't be bought Your mind can wander
Hello, hello Hola I'm at a place called Vertigo Dond' esta It's everything I wish I didn't know Except you give me something I can feel Feel
The night is full of holes These bullets rip the sky Of ink with gold They twinkle As the boys play rock and roll They know that they can't dance At least they know
I can sell the beats I'm asking for the check Girl with crimson nails Has Jesus 'round the neck Swinging to the music Swinging to the music
Hello, hello Hola I'm at a place called Vertigo Dond' esta It's everything I wish I didn't know But you give me something I can feel Feel
Shot dead Shots fall Show me, yeah
All of this, all of this can be yours All of this, all of this can be yours All of this, all of this can be yours Just give me what I want And no one gets hurt
Hello, hello Hola We¡¦re at a place called Vertigo Dond' esta Lights go down and all I know Is that you give me something I can feel your love teaching me how Your love is teaching me how How to kneel Kneel
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Virgin State of Mind - K's Choice
There's a chair in my head on which I used to sit Took a pencil and I wrote the following on it
Now there's a key where my wonderful mouth used to be Dig it up, throw it at me Dig it up, throw it at me
Where can I run to, where can I hide Who will I turn to now I'm in a virgin state of mind
Got a knife to disengage the voids that I can't bear To cut out words I've got written on my chair
Like do you think I'm sexy Do you think I really care
Can I burn the mazes I grow Can I, I don't think so
Can I burn the mazes I grow Can I, I don't think so
Where can I run to, where can I hide Who will I turn to now I'm in a virgin state of mind Virgin state of mind Virgin state of mind Virgin state of mind

Yay for Green Day!!! They are beautiful people... really.
Boulevard Of Broken Dreams By: Er... Green Day...
I walk a lonely road The only one I that have ever known Don't know were it goes But its home and I walk alone
I walk this empty street On the Blvd. of broken dreams Were the city sleeps And I'm the only one and I walk alone
My shadows the only one that walks beside me My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone out there will find Till then I'll walk alone
Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ah-Ah Ahhh
I'm walking down the line That divides me somewhere in my mind On the border line of the edge And were I walk alone
Read between the lines of what's ****** up and every things all right Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive And I walk alone
I walk alone I walk alone I walk alone I walk a...
I walk this empty street On the Blvd. of broken dreams Were the city sleeps And I'm the only one and I walk a..
My shadows the only one that walks beside me My shallow hearts the only thing that's beating Sometimes I wish someone out there will find Till then I'll walk away!
Holiday By: Same as above
Hear the sound of the falling rain Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!) Ashamed The ones who die without a name
Hear the dogs howlin' out of key To a hymn called Faith and Misery (Hey!) And plead, the company lost the war today
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives On holiday
Hear the drum pounding out of time Another protestor has crossed the line (Hey!) To find, the money's on the other side
Can I get another Amen (Amen!) There's a flag wrapped around the score of men (Hey!) A gag, A plastic bag on a monument
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives On holiday
"The representative from California has the floor"
Zeig Heil to the president gasman Bombs away is your punishment Pulverize the Eiffel towers Who criticize your government Bang bang goes the broken glass man Kill all the **** that don't agree Triumph by fires, setting fire It's not a way that's meant for me Just cause Just cuz we're on holiday
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies This is the dawning of the rest of our lives

Yeah, Green Day's great. These aren't GreenDay lyrics though. These are Boucing Souls lyrics. The song's Born Free, it's on their newest album, Anchors Aweigh. It's also on the Rock Against Bush Vol.2 Compilation (I bought it yesterday, but it was my friend's birthday so I gave it to her) and on the Vans Warped Tour 2003 (I think...) Compilation. It's a great song. ;D
Fear is in the air thats the way they want it to be "Don't trust friends or neighbors everyone's your enemy!" Kidnapped children on tv fear runs through the family They'll put a chip in your arm. Keeping track of where you are. with all of this technology have we come so far? It's easy to get lost, forget who you are
Don't forget that your born free It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees
People are so greedy, it's almost funny How many ways can they ruin lives for money? I see the choice to enjoy the truth in life In the middle of all this deceit and strife A nation's future stands in doubt Peace and love are on the way out Why can't they just let me be? How I live is up to me Don't forget that your born free
It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees
We get the message loud and clear we refuse to live in fear!

Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel
Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme Remember me to one who lives there She once was a true love of mine
Tell her to make me a cambric shirt
(On the side of a hill in the deep forest green) Parsely, sage, rosemary & thyme (Tracing a sparrow on snow-crested ground) Without no seams nor needlework (Blankets and bedclothes a child of the mountains) Then she'll be a true love of mine (Sleeps unaware of the clarion call) Tell her to find me an acre of land
(On the side of a hill, a sprinkling of leaves) Parsely, sage, rosemary, & thyme (Washed is the ground with so many tears) Between the salt water and the sea strand (A soldier cleans and polishes a gun) Then she'll be a true love of mine
Tell her to reap it in a sickle of leather
(War bellows, blazing in scarlet battalions) Parsely, sage, rosemary & thyme (Generals order their soldiers to kill) And to gather it all in a bunch of heather (And to fight for a cause they've long ago forgotten) Then she'll be a true love of mine
Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme Remember me to one who lives there She once was a true love of mine.

I totally love Simon and Garfunkel. ;D
The Sound of Silence Simon & Garfunkel
Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again, Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping, And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence.
In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone, 'Neath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence.
And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more. People talking without speaking, People hearing without listening, People writing songs that voices never share And no one dared Disturb the sound of silence.
"Fools" said I,"You do not know Silence like a cancer grows. Hear my words that I might teach you, Take my arms that I might reach you." But my words like silent raindrops fell, And echoed In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made. And the sign flashed out its warning, In the words that it was forming. And the signs said, The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls And tenement halls. And whisper'd in the sounds of silence.

*ghee!* I lurve that song too, along with "El Condor Pasa" and "Cecilia".
Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry
Go on and close the curtains Cause all we need is candlelight You and me and a bottle of wine Going to hold you tonight Well we know I’m going away And how I wish...wish it weren’t so So take this wine and drink with me Let’s delay our misery
Save tonight And fight the break of dawn Come tomorrow Tomorrow I’ll be gone
There’s a log on the fire And it burns like me for you Tomorrow comes with one desire To take me away...it’s true It ain’t easy to say goodbye Darling please don’t start to cry ’cause girl you know I’ve got to go Lord I wish it wasn’t so
Save tonight And fight the break of dawn Come tomorrow Tomorrow I’ll be gone
Tomorrow comes to take me away I wish that I....that I could stay Girl you know I’ve got to go Lord I wish it wasn’t so
Save tonight And fight the break of dawn Come tomorrow Tomorrow I’ll be gone

*laughs* I had a friend called Cecilia, and we used to give her crap about the song.
The Way Fastball
They made up their minds And they started packing They left before the sun came up that day An exit to eternal summer slacking But where were they going without ever knowing the way?
They drank up the wine And they got to talking They now had more important things to say And when the car broke down they started walking Where were they going without ever knowing the way?
Anyone could see the road that they walk on is paved in gold And it's always summer, they'll never get cold They'll never get hungry They'll never get old and gray You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere They won't make it home But they really don't care They wanted the highway They're happier there today , today
The children woke up And they couldn't find 'em They left before the sun came up that day They just drove off And left it all behind 'em But where were they going without ever knowing the way?
Anyone could see the road that they walk on is paved in gold And it's always summer, they'll never get cold They'll never get hungry They'll never get old and gray You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere They won't make it home But they really don't care They wanted the highway They're happy there today, today

Lalala...
Bohemian Rhapsody By: Queen
Is this the real life- Is this just fantasy- Caught in a landslide- No escape from reality- Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see- I'm just a poor boy,I need no sympathy- Because I'm easy come, easy go, A little high, little low, Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, To me
Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, Pulled my trigger, now he's dead, Mama, life had just begun, But now I've gone and thrown it all away- Mama ooo, Didn't mean to make you cry- If I'm not back again this time tomorrow- Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters-
Too late,my time has come, Sends shivers down my spine- Body's aching all the time, Goodbye everybody-I've got to go- Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth- Mama ooo- (any way the wind blows) I don't want to die, I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all-
((my favourite part...))
I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the Fandango- Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me- Galileo,Galileo, Galileo Galileo Galileo figaro-Magnifico- But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me- He's just a poor boy from a poor family- Spare him his life from this monstrosity- Easy come easy go-,will you let me go- Bismillah! No-,we will not let you go-let him go- Bismillah! We will not let you go-let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go-let me go Will not let you go-let me go Will not let you go let me go No,no,no,no,no,no,no- Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go- Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me,for me,for me-
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye- So you think you can love me and leave me to die- Oh baby-Can't do this to me baby- Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here-
Nothing really matters, Anyone can see, Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me,
Any way the wind blows....

I feel like this sometimes on one of those days:
Unwell\ Matchbox 20
All day staring at the ceiling Making friends with shadows on my wall All night hearing voices telling me That I should get some sleep Because tomorrow might be good for somethingHold on Feeling like I'm headed for a breakdown And I don't know why
But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell I know right now you can't tell But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see A different side of me I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired I know right now you don't care But soon enough you're gonna think of me And how I used to be...me
I'm talking to myself in public Dodging glances on the train And I know, I know they've all been talking about me I can hear them whisper And it makes me think there must be something wrong with me Out of all the hours thinking Somehow I've lost my mind
But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell I know right now you can't tell But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see A different side of me I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired I know right now you don't care But soon enough you're gonna think of me And how I used to be
I've been talking in my sleep Pretty soon they'll come to get me Yeah, they're taking me away
But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell I know right now you can't tell But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see A different side of me I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired I know right now you don't care But soon enough you're gonna think of me And how I used to be
Yeah, how I used to be How I used to be Well, I'm just a little unwell How I used to be How I used to be I'm just a little unwell

Hey Rain, isn't that song by Matchbox 20, not blink?
It's too late Evermore
Monday morning, hesitate I can't get out of bed I'd rather go back to the dreams I'm living in my head Yeah, yeah yeah yeah
Tuesday evening, pack my bags I'm heading out the door I left a box of memories lying on the floor Yeah, yeah yeah yeah
Ride on, ride 'til early morning turn Ride on, like the dawning of the day It's too late to let all your feelings show Go on, 'til the night is swept away
Running from the city lights Running from this empty life I'm running out of time tonight Screaming out for help! Help!
Slow down you're moving too fast Go home you'll feel better for it Oh boy you better stop dreaming it's all in your head
'Cause it's too late now
Ride on, ride 'til early morning turn Ride on, like the dawning of the day It's too late to let all your feelings show Go on, til the night is swept away
Ride on, run 'til early morning sun Ride on, like the morning of the day It's too late To let every feeling show Ride on, til the night is swept away
