Cedric, eh? He isn't bad at all. Makes a nice pair with Cho as well. Back off Harry! Don't you dare try anything with that poor Ravenclaw! -snarls- And as for Draco, I just like the Dracos I've read in fanfictions. They are so much more fun to read.
And yes, En. I know what you mean. It's really kind of sad and I guess that's why I love her so much. I have an attraction towards the more… melancholy characters. Like Tom. No, no I don’t really like Lord Voldemort himself, but the schoolboy Tom. When he attended Hogwarts as an honorary Slytherin. If you haven’t already noticed, I have a slight fascination for him…Though I feel just awful about the Hagrid thing. Yes, Slytherins have a conscience as well!
-sighs- Ginny, Ginny, always trailing Harry and his friends. One of which is your own brother. They know you are lingering there and yet still no one really sees you. Just like a shadow. I don’t want to see you get hurt anymore…so you ought to just break away from Harry and take to flight…be a shadow no longer.

Now that I've read 5, my favourites are:
5. Neville 4. Dumbledore 3. McGonagall 2. Lupin 1. Luna
Luna is great -- seems totally whimsical, but there's something more going on with her -- can't wait to learn more. Oh, probably doesn't hurt that I totally identified with her, either

This is tough, because I really like most of the characters in HP. But I'd have to say, my favourite character is... Umbridge! Heh, just kidding.
Honestly, after book 5, I'm liking a lot of the older characters more than the kids, especially Lupin and Sirius. I don't know why that is, except maybe because of the maturity levels or something along those lines. I've always also liked Fred and George a lot, simply for their humor. I don't think I could pinpoint one character that stands out as my favourite though.

Heh, you know, I think part of the reason I like Lupin and Black so much is because they are a bit mysterious, but they're very complex. So that gives me a lot of room to imagine. I mean, I like Harry and Ron all right, and I think Hermione is awesome, but... we know a lot about them. And they're only just starting to get complicated. Ron's only now starting to find his own way, and Hermione's just starting to show more of an emotional side.
But Lupin's got this whole complicated situation we don't know anything about, and there's a lot of room to imagine with his renewed friendship with Sirius -- these guys suspected each other of being the worst kind of traitors for thirteen years, you know? And now they find out they're not only not the traitors, they're the only two left out of their gang, and they're both social rejects united by the greatest cause of their time to a whole band of social rejects... yep, lots of room for imagination.

Although I still think Riddle is my favourite character, after reading book five I'm really interested in Neville because he's finally growing...and I really like that he is. Because now he isn't just the clumsy kid who kids make fun of, ya know? Now he's the clumsy kid who's making a name for himself and will still be picked on.
And, I guess I like Percy a lot in the book too. Not because he's evil, but because he's taken an interesting turn...and I'd like to follow him and see where he ends up. Maybe because sometimes I feel like I can relate a lot to Percy. I don't know, before I didn't like him all that much because he was boring, because he was this prick it seemed who, well...reminded me a lot of my sister...but now there's an element of interest in him...and yeah...he finally became someone to me.

I personally love Draco. He's such a jerk to Harry and anyone who isn't in Slytherin. But when I read the 2nd book and then found in the 4th that his father is a death eater, it made me laugh. It shows (for me at least) that Draco is most likely not as evil as you thought he was in the beginning. He's more trying to be like his father, a wanna-be death eater if you will. I think that's such a funny kind of character. I also love Sirius, which is my main reason for the love of the 3rd book. It made me sad that Sirius didn't show much in the 4th book but he showed more in the 5th..and then died. But the best part was his rivalry against Snape. I loved how there would be such thick tension whenever both of them was in one room.

Well practically I guess my fav character is Hermione(gee is that a surprise!! : Well ok she's like a bossy know-it-all at times, but she's a great friend and quite useful at times, if you know what I mean. Dumbledore makes me laugh at times, but man, he's too calm! Also, I likes the Maruaders, OK after book 3, I left ehhmmm the betrayer out. But the others were so cool, and like as Padfoot said in the book they were idiots back then, so you can't actually blame them for their actions(or can you?) And also, don't you think it's kinda like Harry and Draco? You know fighting, loathing

Is Dumbledore really calm though? I think he's got a lot going on inside his head, and he chooses not to show it very often because he's the head of a school, and if he let on how often he was angry or scared, it might upset the students. Just a thought.

I know what you mean En, but actually I was referring to the fact, that everytime he was going to explain something to Harry, he does like 5 minutes staring or something. If it was me infront of him, seriously I would have cracked out by now, lol. Obviously he doesn't have to look scared or anything, if Dumbledore is scared, then who isn't?

Hermoine, I like the Mauraders also, except book five tarnished my view a bit of Harry's father, but not so much that he fell off of my list for characters I like. I would really like to know more about them, maybe that will develop in a later book? Maybe.
I agree that Dumbledore is not like he seems all the time, but I do think he handles everything in stride and does stay calm in times of pressure, if not for himself than for his students.

Yeah I hope the Maruaders will show up more, in future books. Well, there aren't a lot of books left, I mean only two more. Well I have to agree with you now, that he moves everything smoothly. And remember, if we're talking about Voldemort, if Dumbledore seems scared or anything, then everyone will be, 'cause remember, Dumbledore was supposed to be the only one Voldemort ever feared.

Yes, only two more... Quite sad because I want to know so much. Hermoine...so Hermione is your favourite character right? I know you explained it before... Do you like Hermione because she is like you or because you'd think she'd make a good friend, or a good person or what? I guess that's something to think about... How do you choose your favourite character?

Well I like hermione, because she's a lot like me and for me and because of the above anyway. A fav character isn't just because he/she resembles you in most ways though, it might be because he/she is funny, or comes up with great ideas, or is clumsy and the clumsiness makes you laugh.... I dunno there are so many ways.

Hmmm... so hard to choose! I think it would have to be Ron. I don't know, I'm just in love with him. And after that... Lupin and Snape are tied. Because they both rock like Satan.
