After a hasty lunch (which contained Yorkshire pudding and potatoes) they were on there way to Care of Magical Creatures when Alexia asked them, "Harry, I know the story with You-Know-Who and you but...people have been telling me that all three of you have gotten into terrible danger right here at Hogwarts. Is that true?"
Harry looked at Ron and Hermione for help. Hermione just shrugged. "Err. Yeah. It is. But people are just exaggerating. It's not that big of deal."
Alexia, noticing his discomfort, just replied "Okay. So, what's Care of Magical Creature like? Back in Niagara we just studied out of books. So do we get to see actual creatures or what?" Hermione, Harry and Ron smiled inwardly remembering the blast-ended skwerts.
"Yeah" Harry replied.
"Fun!" said Alexia.
Suddenly she dropped one of her books, as she bent down to pick up her book her robe slipped down a couple of centimeters and on her left shoulder there was a mark. That mark looked a lot like the scar on Harry's head. Harry didn’t say any thing but he quickly elbowed Ron and pointed violently at Alexia's left shoulder but it was to late, Alexia had already got up.
Harry, still thinking about what he’d just seen, said, “We’d better get going, come on.” They hurried off to Care of Magical Creatures.
"Welcome. I am Mizz Delacour. Unfortunately, 'Agrid will not be teaching zis semester. And maybe not ze next one ezer. Pleaze form partners for zis lesson. Ve vill read a short paragraph from ze textbooks, zen I will lecture on ze animal. Hmm, ah you." she said pointing to Dean Thomas "Vill you read?" Dean, of course, nodded and began to read the excerpt from the book. When he finished, Fleur said, "please read and answer ze questions at ze end of ze section for ze rest of ze period." This time, Harry noted, that Ron and Hermione were partners, both looking very happy with this. Harry was with Alexia. Since they finished early, they started to talk quietly.
"Well, over there, almost everyone's a muggle. It's very hard to find another witch or wizard. So I had to cross the border into the US to learn a lot of my magic."
"So your whole family are muggles?" Harry asked.
"Yeah. I've got 4 younger sibs back home, all muggles."
"That's almost as big as Ron's family!" Harry exclaimed.
"Really? Ron's got a big family too? Cool."
"So do you miss a lot of stuff?" "Not really. Well, I do miss music. I LOVE muggle music. If my CD player would work, I'd be permanently attached to it. But for some reason it won't work."
"That's because Hogwarts is such a magical place that electricity or batteries won't work."
"Oh." she said. "Now I feel dumb."
"Don't. I wouldn't know that either, but Hermione has pounded it into my head."
"Okay." she said and flashed a huge smile at him.

The day wore on very slowly. Harry was not really paying attention in any of his classes but he was thinking about Alexia. Why did she have the scar on her back? Was she on Voldemort's side? No she couldn’t be. Thought Harry. She seemed so nice but what if it was a trap?
The next couple of lessons were long, but not hard in any way. Harry was Alexia's partner all through the day. It was strange every time Harry was with his new friend he seemed happy, much happier then when he was around Ron. He was surprised to see that Ron was having just as much fun without him than he was having without Ron. He couldn't help but notice that it seemed like Ron would not leave Heroine’s side for the rest of the day. After dinner, as Ron and Hermione sat in the Common Room playing chess and, they both seemed more reluctant than usual to leave for their beds.
Later that night, after all the other boys were asleep, Harry could not stop thinking about Alexia. He shook his head hard. He was not going to fall over a girl, he had enough on his mind what with Sirius and Lupin and Ron and Hermione, who had been partners all day again. But form some reason, every time he tried to think about something else, he just thought more about Alexia. Long after midnight, he finally fell asleep.
Even though it seemed he had only just closed his eyes, he woke up to the sound of Hedwig, as his eyes slowly focuses, he saw that she was standing at the end of the bed, she had a letter in her beak, and she clicked expectantly.
"What’s this Hedwig?" Harry asked wonderingly. What would be so important that she needed to deliver it tonight? She always delivered it in the morning. As he opened the letter, he saw that it was from Sirius. "Now that his name is cleared, why would he tell Hed to bring it at night" he muttered. Then his eyes fell to the page it said:
Dear Harry, Please meet me at the Shrieking Shack at midnight on the next Hogsmeade weekend. It’s about what I didn't want to tell you before, something has happened Harry, and you have to know what it is, for your own safety. Do not tell Ron or Hermione or especially Alexia about this. Do not be late, can’t tell you any more now, but come prepared. Love Sirius
Harry looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was only 4:30 in the morning. "Thanks Hedwig" he said, and rummaged through his trunk to find her owl treats.
"Harry, why are up so early" he heard Ron's voice say sleepily
"Well I got a..." Harry suddenly remembered that Sirius had told him not to tell. "Oh nothing important, I just couldn't sleep, go back to bed."
As soon as Harry woke up in the morning, he scratched out a note to Sirius and went up to the Owlery to post it. Hedwig came fluttering down and held out her leg. "No Hedwig, I have to use a school owl, you would be seen going into the Shrieking Shack and this is very private." Hedwig gave an understanding nip on his finger and went back up to sleep.

After he has mailed his letter, he ran down to the great hall and sat down with Ron and Hermione. "Where’s Alexia?" he asked, “I didn't see her at the table.”
"Oh, she already ate, and hurried off to the library,” said Hermione, taking a drink from her gold goblet.
"Come on guys, we have to go to Potions again," said Ron, none too enthusiastically.
Thanks to one of the pictures, that insisted that everyone stop and talk to it, and was impossible to leave, they were late to Potions. As they walked in, Snape shot them a look of pure poison and hissed, "When will you three learn to be on time for my class, ten points from Gryffindor, I think” when Ron opened his mouth to explain, Snape said “That will be ten points APIECE and if you try my patience any more Mr. Weasly, it will be twenty, now take your seats"
With the Slytherins laughing at them the whole way, and the Gryffindors glaring at Snape, they sat down.
"Today, we are going to learn how to make a potion that will make you assume the body of another, it is called Polyjuice potion, and you will all need to listen attentively to the directions as you will be trying it out on someone later this year.”
Harry and Ron and Hermione smiled at each other, Harry trying not to laugh at the memory of the three of them making Polyjuice potion in the girl’s bathroom. Maybe this wont be such a bad day after all, Harry said to himself.
Potions was finally over when he was stopped short by Alexia, " Um, Harry can I speak with you," Alexia sounded very nervous about this. Harry knew it was important.
"Okay."
Alexia smiled and pulled Harry to the side “Harry? Um, the reason I wanted to know so much about you was this." She stopped short and pulled down her robe a little showing the scar.
"Er - I already know about that" Harry replied hastily "I saw it already."
Alexia turned even paler than Neville had ever been. “Well, you know Voldemort-"
Harry quickly cut her off "You say his name? But the other day-“
This time Alexia cut Harry off. "Well everyone else is. So I thought it wouldn't be good to say it out in the corridor. Harry you're really sweet." She smiled, kissed him on the lips quickly and left. Harry blushed but remembered he had to go.
Harry had a thousand questions in his mind, Why had Alexia kissed him? Why was Sirius being so careful about telling him to avoid her? He decided to take a nighttime stroll with the Invisibility Cloak. Hermione gave him a dark look when she saw what he was going to do.
“Harry, what do you think you’re doing?” she almost screeched, “If you get caught, it won’t look good, I mean, one of a prefect’s best friends sneaking out at night, it’ll look like I’m letting you bend the rules, that isn’t how a prefect should act!”
“Hermione,”
“Yes?”
“Shut up.”
And with that, he left through the portrait hole.

As he wandered the halls thinking of all the unusual things about Alexia, he heard a loud noise, like something crashing and an angry sounding muttering. Harry ran down the hall and then heard something coming from a closed door. Harry stopped dead in his tracks and listened. The sound was muffled, and was fading. Harry opened the door and found that the room was lit by candles like the Great Hall. There were 3 torches it looked like one of them was gone. Harry grabbed the one of the torches and started to follow the noise. It was dark and Harry had the feeling like he was being watched or followed. Harry continued down the dark corridors, until he reached two paths Harry didn't know which one to pick. Finally, Harry thought that he was getting closer, the noises kept getting louder. As he turned the corner, he saw a small room, and he could see a glimmer of light coming from inside Harry opened the door and ran straight into Sirius, with Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall right behind him.
Professor McGonagall lost her state of shock "HARRY WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUR OF BED, AND AT A TIME LIKE THIS TOO, SNEAKING AROUND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, WHY IF YOU WERN'T ONE OF THE BEST QUIDDITCH PLAYERS IN YEARS I WOULD-"
"Minerva, please allow me to handle this." Dumbledore interrupted “We were in fact, Harry, just going to get you, but I might have know that you would find us before we would get you, you being your fathers son. I need you to listen to me very carefully Harry, this is very serious, I need you to go pack a bag, not much, just enough for a night. Then come right back here. You will be going with Sirius, hopefully you will be able to return tomorrow, but right now, we cant waste any time, please do what I say without questions or argument, all will be explained in time. And ah, Harry, I do not think I need to explain that you should not wake up Mr. Weasly, or anybody else for that matter "
When Harry saw Sirius nodding at him, confirming Dumbledore's words, he nodded and began to go walk back to the Gryffindor Common Room.
He silently packed a small bag that had somehow appeared on his bed, including his Invisibility Cloak and the Marauders Map, and went back down to where they were all waiting for him. As he went to go in, he heard McGonagall and Sirius fighting.
"I will tell him everything, he deserves to know, what do you think is going on in mind right now Minerva, just being told to pack a bag and come with me! He deserves an explanation, and I’m going to give it to him!!”
"He's only a boy Sirius, how do you think he’s going to take this? I realize that he needs to be told, but not right now!! Let him have a few more nights of peace!"
Then Dumbledore's voice said "Shhh, Sirius, Minerva, I have to ask you to be civilized about this, Minerva, Sirius is Harry’s godfather, he only want s him to be prepared, it is not our place to demand anything from him, and unless I’m quite mistaken, our young Harry is standing outside the door at this minute, so let us please stop this arguing?"
Harry walked in, feeling sheepish. "How did you know?" he asked.
"Professor Trelawney is not the only one in this school that can see the unseen Harry, now if you please, you and Sirius are going to the Shrieking Shack now, I took the liberty of retrieving Hedwig for you, I will write you the minute you can return. Please write me or Professor McGonagall if you need us, Sirius. Now I will leave you to your duties."
With that, McGonagall and Dumbledore walked out of the room.
"Ahem, er, well, Harry shall we be on our way, there is a lot to talk about.”
Harry sped up a little to keep up with Sirius, who was walking unusually fast.
"Sirius-" Harry began.
"Not now." he answered shortly.
As they neared Hagrid's shack, Harry tried again. "Umm. Sirius?"
"Not now Harry! Stop asking me! I'll tell you when I need to!" Sirius almost yelled, his eyes flashing. Harry knew then to stop.

Finally, they arrived at the Shrieking Shack. Sirius locked the door behind them. "Sorry I was short with you Harry. But everyone is under a lot of pressure right now, and I've been worried about you." Harry now saw how old Sirius looked, he looked almost as bad has he did when he first got out of Azkaban.
"Why did I have to leave Hogwarts? I thought the only wizard Voldemort was afraid of was Dumbledore? Why did I leave?" Harry spit out all at once.
"Harry, do you remember at the beginning of the year, I told you to stick close to Ron and Hermione? Not to become to close to anyone new? I warned you for a reason. We heard from somebody that Voldemort would be sending someone to Hogwarts to get close to you. Lets think for a minute. Who's gotten suddenly close to you, hasn't known you long?"
Harry thought hard. Slowly it dawned on him. "You don't mean Alexia, do you? But it couldn't be her." Harry said thinking of her dark brown eyes twinkling, her smile, the way she shook her head when she laughed really hard.
"Think about it Harry. A nice, sweet, PRETTY girl just your age comes to Hogwarts just as Voldemort is coming back to power. She shows immediate interest in you, squeezes her way into your circle of friends? It's a perfect set up, Harry. I'm sorry,” he said gently.
"NO!" Harry exploded. "It's not true! You're lying!"
"Harry!" Sirius said sharply " I'm not saying that Alexia is the spy, we don't even know for sure that there is one, all I'm doing is telling you to be careful."
"So, why did I have to leave Hogwarts?" Harry said irritably "I can be careful there you know"
Sirius sighed. "I hated to do that Harry, I really did, but I think its time you learned the truth about what is going on. Arabella, you may come out now"
Harry’s eyes widened as Mrs. Figg, his old neighbor, Apparated before his eyes.
"What’s going on?" he asked.

"Let me start from the beginning, okay Harry, You see, Mrs. Figg is your guardian, I asked her to keep on eye on you when I was sent to Azkaban. Dumbledore made her temporary secret keeper while I was in Azkaban. Now that my name is cleared, I am now your secret keeper, which is why you had to leave the Dursleys. I wasn't there, so Voldemort may have found you...And it is also why you left Hogwarts, as long as you're with me, you're safe.
"Then how come I was safe at Hogwarts?"
"I can answer that" Arabella said, " I am an Animagus, among other things, you do remember Mrs. Norris, do you not? Well, she is no longer at Hogwarts, Thanks to the Polyjuice potion, I can assume her shape exactly, which is why she...I am always around you.” Harry stood dumbstruck, "D-d-does Dumbledore know about this?”
"Of course" they both answered at the same time.
"That still doesn’t explain why I had to leave so suddenly," Harry said
Sirius swallowed hard and glanced at Mrs. Figg, she nodded. "Well, we received word through an underground connection that Voldemort is on the move, and this time...how do I say this...he doesn’t aim to fail."
"Who's this underground connection? How can you be sure he's not double-crossing us?" Harry demanded.
"Harry, you're not going to like this, because I don't. Snape."
"What about him?" "He's the underground source." "WHAT! You can't be serious! He used to be a Death Eater! He hates me! He'd love to see me dead!"
"Harry, I've already said all those things to Dumbledore. But Dumbledore insists that Snape is really with us. And I just go along with Dumbledore. So I know this is going to be hard, but we've got to learn to trust him. Not like him, but trust him."
"So what’s the story with you, Mrs. Figg, have you always been here?"
"Not the first year, I broke my ankle, remember? And besides, we didn't think that I would be needed, we didn't know that Voldemort was brave enough to come here at all."
"So, after the first year, you started becoming a Mrs. Norris Animagus? I didn't think that that could be done"
"The Polyjuice potion works on animals a well as humans, Harry. I turned into her own Animagus, then takes the Polyjuice potion to look like Mrs. Norris.”
"So is Mrs. Norris okay?"
"Oh yes, she lives with me now" said Mrs. Figg, "after all, I have to get the hair from somewhere! I had to shave her some to get enough hair to come to Hogwarts." Harry could not keep the grin off his face at the idea of a shaved Mrs. Norris
Harry sat down on an old, slightly musty chair. He started slowly, "Okay, I'll buy the Snape thing. I trust Dumbledore. But I don't think Alexia is out to hurt me. She'd never do anything like that."
Sirius and Arabella looked at each other.
"Just don't let your hormones get in the way of your judgment, okay Harry?" Sirius said.
"She may be my niece, Harry, but you never know what can happen to people." Mrs. Figg added.
"Wait a second. Alexia is your niece? But I thought she said her family were all muggles."
"Not exactly. My father was a wizard, my mother was a muggle. So me, my brother, Alexia’s father, are half and halves. Her dad never showed any signs of magic, but I did. That's why she was named Alexia, after me. Her father hoped she would show some signs of magic."
"But your name's Arabella."
"Yes, but I guess he thought that'd be too mean. We have the same middle name, Elizabeth, and the same initials- A.E.F."
"Does she know about you?"
"Not really. As you know, I was working to see the downfall of Voldemort. She used to live here in England. One night my brother and his wife went out to dinner and I babysat Alexia. I fell asleep, after putting her in her crib. Voldemort came into my house to kill me. He found her first. He told one of the Death Eaters to kill her so he could take care of me. The curse backfired and killed the Death Eater."
"Wow." Harry said in awe.
"Yes. Alexia's parents were so upset when they found out, they forbid me to see her again, and moved to Canada so that something like that could never happen again. To this day she doesn't know the whole story, or even about me."
"So, you mean, I’m not the only one with a curse scar?"
"No Harry" Mrs. Figg said gently "they are rare, especially ones like yours and Alexia’s, they are only formed by being touched by Dark Magic, but your not the only one. You are special because you’re the only one who got a curse scar from The Dark Lord...and lived to tell the tale." Harry stood silent for a minute taking it all in.
Sirius noticed his expression and said quietly, "Harry, I think its time that you went to bed, you know enough for one night.”

For three uneventful days, Harry waited in the Shrieking Shack for word from Dumbledore. Finally, an owl from the school arrived. Harry jumped to get it, but Sirius was faster. He grabbed the owl, took the parchment, gave it some food, and sent it back out the window. Sirius read the note quickly then handed it to Harry. The short letter read:
Dear Harry & Sirius: It is now safe for Harry to return to school. Whatever danger was suspected has passed. Your teachers don't expect you to make up the work. Bring Harry to Hagrid's hut, where Filch will meet you to escort him back to the castle. Dumbledore
Harry looked up with disgust. "I don't need to be escorted back to the castle, especially by Filch!"
Sirius looked back at him from the window where he had been looking out. "Harry, I know you don't need to be escorted. But under the circumstances..." he trailed off after seeing the look of fury on Harry's face.
"I'M SO TIRED OF SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES! Haven't I proven to everyone that I can take care of myself?" he roared. "I'm 15 years old for heaven's sake!"
Sirius, quite taken aback at Harry's outburst, said, "Well... yes... I know... come on." Harry grabbed his things, and headed out the door with Sirius.
Sirius and Harry walked to Hagrid's hut in silence. Harry was sorry he'd blown up like that, but he felt it needed to be said. As they approached Hagrid's empty hut, Sirius said to Harry, "I'm sorry we have to do this Harry. We're only doing it to protect you."
Harry replied grudgingly, "I know. And I'm sorry for blowing up like that."
"It's okay." Sirius smiled, "If you need anything, write me right away, Okay?" Harry nodded. Just then Filch walked up.
"Well, you're here on time at least. Lets go," he said, pivoting on his foot to turn back around. Harry nodded good-bye to Sirius and walked back up to the castle with Filch.
Harry walked into the common room, to find Hermione studying. "Oh, hi Harry. It's good to see you're feeling better. It was really weird that Madam Pomfrey wouldn't let us see you; she said it was very contagious. What did you have?"
"I dunno, something really weird." he lied, not knowing what to say. "So, what'd I miss?" he said, changing the subject quickly.
"Well, right now Ron's practicing for Quidditch tryouts, they're in three days."
"What about Alexia?" Harry asked.
Hermione smiled knowingly. "She's upstairs in the girls dormitory. Nobody's up there except her. You could probably go up there."
"Thanks Hermione." Harry said, as he raced up the stairs.
As he knocked on the door, he heard some very off key singing. "Letting go of all I've to, Just hanging by a moment here with you!" Harry opened the door to see Alexia jumping around with her headphones on, singing her heart out.
"Ummm... Can I come in?" Harry said, walking in. Alexia turned around quickly. When she saw Harry standing there, she blushed a deep crimson.
"Harry! I didn't know you were back from the hospital wing. How are you?" she asked.
"Fine." he replied. "Ummm... what were you doing?"
"Oh! I was listening to my muggle music. I was telling Professor Flitwick about how I was really missing my music. So he charmed my CD player to run on magic! Isn't that great?"
"Yeah. What were you listening to?"
""Hanging By a Moment" By Lifehouse."
"Oh." he said. "Can I listen?"
"Sure" Harry slipped the headphones over his ears. When the song was over, he handed the headphones to her. "That's really good. Do you have anything else?"
"Tons of stuff," she nodded.
"I don't think that I'm supposed to be up here. Let's bring it down to the common room." Alexia smiled and gathered up her CDs and her headphones, and closed the door behind him. They spent the rest of the afternoon laughing, talking, and listening to the music.

At dinner that night, Harry and Alexia walked down together, where they met Ron and Hermione. He felt a pang of guilt when he saw Ron’s hurt expression.
"You could have at least told ME what was the matter, I thought we were best friends! Was it your scar again?”
"I'm sorry, I was really sick, I could hardly eat or anything" Harry lied. Ron’s expression softened.
"Well, I'm glad you’re better" he said.
"So am I" said Hermione hastily, sensing the tension "You know the OWLS are coming up and we should probably start studying.”
"Hermione," Ron said, somewhat exasperated "the OWLS aren't for months yet"
"Well, its never too early to start preparing for them, I've heard that there really hard, you know that your mum expects you to do well, Ron!!!" she replied sharply.
"Hermione, I'm sure that when its time to study for them, they'll tell us," Alexia broke in.
"You should be more worried about them that the rest of us, Alexia, there are things here that you haven't studied!"
"Well, Dumbledore sent me a packet of topics that I should know before term started, I studied all summer! And what did you do all summer, Hermione?" Harry thought for a moment, Hermione hadn't said anything about her summer.
"What did you do all summer, Hermione?" Harry asked. Hermione turned bright red.
"I...I...spent the summer with Viktor!" She said very fast, "I had better go now." She got up and almost ran out of the Great Hall. Harry and Ron looked at each other in amazement.
"Was it something I said?"
Alexia jumped out of her seat "I think I'd better go talk to her" she said.
"Maybe I should, I was the one who made her mad," argued Ron.
" I don’t think she’s mad, I think she was just embarrassed, I mean, well, no offense Ron, but your well, a guy, and guys just don’t understand about this sort of thing, ya know?" With that, Alexia ran out of the Hall after Hermione.
"Is this what happens when your best friend is a girl?" asked Harry.
Ron’s ears turned bright pink, and he said with a bit of bewilderment in his voice, "I guess it must be."
Harry approached Alexia later that night in the common room. "So, is she all right?" he inquired. "And, what are you doing?"
Alexia looked up. "She's fine. She just felt weird about talking about Viktor in front of Ron. Nobody feels comfortable talking about ex-boyfriends in front of their current one. Totally understandable. And" she went on, not noticing the shocked look on his face, "I'm doing Yoga. It's how I relax." and with that she uncurled from her position.
"Hermione and Ron aren't together. You've got it all wrong. You must have misunderstood her. Did she say that?" he said.
"Not in so many words. But that's the basic idea she gave me, and besides," she went on "just look at them. It's totally obvious. They're always together and exchanging these looks when they think we're not looking."
"Ron would have told me." Harry replied flatly.
"Maybe not. It's always just been the three of you, right? He probably didn't want things to get weird."
That night when Harry went up to bed, he found Ron waiting for him. "You talked to Alexia, right? So how's Hermione?"
"She's fine. She didn't want to talk about Krum because she knew you didn't like him much."
"Oh," said Ron, relieved. Harry purposely left out the boyfriend part. He figured that if something was going on between Ron and Hermione, Ron would tell him about it.
"Hey Ron," Harry said as he was getting into bed, "Do you want to practice Quidditch tomorrow?"
"Sure," he said sleepily. Harry fell asleep thinking that something that just the two of them could do together without the girls would be good. And it would give Ron a chance to tell him something if he needed to.

Harry woke up early the next morning. He quickly got dressed in his practice robes and grabbed his Firebolt. He then woke up Ron with a shove. "Come on. Get up." Ron batted at him sleepily.
"Nnmmmff." he grunted.
"Come on." Harry insisted. After a few moments of coaxing, Ron got up. He put on some especially old robes and grabbed Charlie's old broom, a Shooting Star. They trudged out to the Quidditch field, barely speaking. When they arrived at the field, they both kicked off and flew into the air. Harry called to Ron, "I'm not the best Chaser, and so you're not going to get that much practice."
"That's okay," Ron, said in return, "I'll do some drills George showed me." Harry grabbed the Quaffle and tried to make a goal. Ron caught it easily. Harry tried to make goals from every direction at every speed. Ron caught each one effortlessly. Harry was impressed.
When they landed, Harry said, "If you play like that tomorrow, you're almost guaranteed the spot. Ron was flushed, and not just from the workout.
"Yeah, and it probably helps that I'm Charlie, Fred, and George's little brother."
"Ron, I promise that if you make the team, it's not going to be because of your brothers. Angelina isn't like that." And with that, they headed into breakfast.
Harry and Ron sat down at the Gryffindor table to see Alexia and Hermione sitting very far away from each other and shooting each other dirty looks.
"What happened", Harry asked Alexia.
"She," said Alexia in a snotty tone, "Won't speak to me. All I did was ask her about Ron."
"I'm sure it was all just a misunderstanding." Harry said, “Maybe you should apologize,” he suggested.
“I didn’t do anything wrong, I was just trying to be a good friend,” he insisted. After a look from Harry, she went over to Hermione and said, “I’m sorry Hermione. Please don’t be mad at me.” Hermione’s face softened.
“Okay. I’m sorry too, I shouldn’t have got so mad over something so silly.” They both smiled at each other and exchanged a big hug.
Harry and Ron gave each other a look that plainly said “Girls!”
They all sat down together and started talking about Quidditch. "I'm trying out for the team," said Alexia, "Harry, will you help me practice later?"
Harry said, "Sure!" completely forgetting about Ron. Ron's cheeks turned red and he left the table immediately.
Hermione noticed that Alexia was trying not to smile. Ron was mad at Harry. What was so great about that, she just couldn't help wondering.
Harry walked back to the common room with mixed feelings. He was sad about the fact that Ron was mad at him, but he couldn't help feeling excited about practicing Quidditch with Alexia. She would finally see how great Harry's Seeking skills were! Harry walked into the common room and discovered that Ron wasn't there. Hedwig however was with a note tucked in between her beak. It was from Sirius. The letter read:
Harry, What did I say about Alexia? STAY AWAY FROM HER. I know that she’s trying out for the Quidditch team. If she makes it, it would be so easy for her to hurt you up there. Be careful. Sirius
Harry stared at the note. “Oh, no.” he thought, “Not this evil Alexia bit again.” Harry crumpled the note and threw it on his bedside table. He grabbed his broom and headed out the door.
When he got to the field, Alexia was already up in the air. She was fairly good, and when he got up there to help, she made a good Keeper also. But not as good as Ron, he thought.
"Thanks, Harry!" Alexia said breathlessly, after the practice.
"No problem. But where'd you learn to fly?"
"That was part of my schooling before I came here. The only time that we could practice was at night, so I'm not quite used to playing in the daytime." Harry laughed, and put his arm around her shoulders. They walked back to the castle like that. Harry couldn't have been happier.
When they got back to the common room, Ron and Hermione were sitting together, talking. Ron gave Harry a mean look, and continued working on the Transfiguration essay that Professor McGonagall has assigned yesterday.
Harry just shook his head, and turned to Alexia, and said loudly, "You're a really good Keeper, I bet you make the team."
Alexia smiled and said "Thanks Harry. But I've got a Arthmancy test tomorrow, I've got to go study."
Harry nodded and went up to his dormitory to change out of his practice robes. He was putting away his Firebolt when Ron walked in.
"Harry, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been jealous when you agreed to help Alexia."
"S'okay. Lets just forget it."
"Was Alexia really that good of a Keeper?" "She was good, but not as good as you. Don't tell her I said that, okay?"
Ron smiled. "Okay."
