I’m not to sure if any of you have faced similar problems but earlier today me and my 10 year old sister where sitting in the car at Shaws and my dad was inside grocery shopping. As we where waiting this big SUV comes up and almost hits the back of the car where in and my little sister just waved. My little sister has a bad habit of waving at anybody she see’s and any way a lady in her what looked like 40tys comes out of the car and starts yelling and threatening my sister. She threatened to beat her FO JUST WAVING, the lady has some serious issues. I currently need to rant because I’m still PO’d at the nerve of that lady threatening my little sister, if my little sister wasn’t in that car I would of seriously given that… well you know a piece of my mind. So has any one else had this problem and what did you do about it cause I’m currently trying to find a way to get back at this lady.

Whoa. Let it slide. I know you're mad right now and I bet thinking about the incident again makes you even madder, but this lady had some issues and you don't want to get involved in that. I know you want something done, but really, no harm was done to the car, you and your sister weren't hurt, the lady was slightly deranged, let it slide. There are all sorts of nutters out there on the road and you can't, nor should you have to, deal with all
I haven't driven for almost a year. When I drove, I was the worst road rager ever. I think this is where I got my swearing problem from. But seriously, so what if you are held up behind one car? Are you REALLY going to be late? Is letting that pedestrian (especially if it's me!) cross the road really going to put you out THAT much? Yeah, I walk everywhere and I take the bus. Sometimes it sucks, but I can't do anything about it because I don't have a car. But being on the other end of road rage has taught me a new perspective.
That, and I need to get a bike.

True I have no problem with the lady threatening me I'm use to that kind of thing but I have a large problem with anyone threatening my family. I know my sister is an idiot when it comes to street smarts but that lady was way out of line. I do agree though that you really need a bike gets you places so much quicker.

I agree with Ko on this. I remember sometimes, I'd be in my car with my dad and say some guy would do some pretty dangerous swerving manouever with his car nearly crashing into us and he'd start yelling and honking as if it's our fault. Usually he tells me to just ignore that type of people - waste of breath and spit.
I understand that you might feel protective of your family, it's natural, especially of your little sister who may not understand the situation entirely. However there isn't much one can do. Maybe this woman just had a bad day. Next time maybe you could have tried to talk to her in the most polite language you could muster (just so you don't go down to her own level of rudeness). If she keeps on threatening and seems to wish to make advancement such as opening the door of the car you could always tell her something like, "I'm sorry but if you keep on threatening my little sister in such an uncivilized manner I'm afraid I'm going to have to call the police." This is just my advice mind, me who lives in a rather different society so maybe such a plan of action wouldn't actually work that much over there. I dunno.... However sometimes retorting back is the worst thing...

Don't worry Kagome. We're not taking it out against you or anything. We just want you to be careful. Sadly these people haunt the streets like the plague, and personally I believe that for the majority of the times, the best thing to do is ignore them, however rude or uncivilised their actions might be.
