This is just something completely random that I wrote this afternoon. These birds do exist, and I have infact talked to them.
Dear Black Birds,
You're are in number two and are sitting upon a phone line. You're both beautiful though I am not sure how many others agree. One quite small and the other's splendid blue-black tail feathers are in dissarray and many are missing, mayhaps from a cruel and strong wind. I shall distinguish and dub you here and now so that there will be little confusement. I have a feeling that each of you have your own individual differences and deserve to be recognized. Little one, for you're indeed little, you're companion is in fact double your size, perhaps you two are of different species. You may be a crow and he a raven (please excuse me dear raven for I have the feeling that you are a male and for the sake of my own sanity I will refer to you as male). Little one, I dub thee Lady Parmus. Parm for short, or even Parmy if I'm feeling particulary affectionate. Because yes, I have become fond of you and your friend in this short time. Big one, I hope you will be honored (but more likely you will not care) that I have taken the time to look up your assumed species in the dictionary. Corvus corax. That is what the humans in there white lab coats will call you or any avid bird watcher who wants to feel especially smart. But I think the name Corvus suits you rather well, a proffesionally tailored pin-stripe suit in ebony black.
Do you like the name? Oh I do hope so. I know I do, but is that too presumptious of me to assume that you will like this name just because I do? Is it too ignorrant me to think you do not have a name just because you have not taken the time to tell me? Would it be even worse for me to consider that you and Parmus do not have names because dumb human that I am I might of not understood you telling me this in your cawing voice?
I hope what I'm saying is not ruffling your feathers. But maybe it would be best if you forget me and go upon you chatter that I seem to of so rudely interrupted. Yes, that would probally be better. Forget me black birds, but no, I cannot even ask that of you. You have never known of my presence. So then just ignore me. Go about your lifes. But if your idle mind ever strays to a girl who was silly and wistful enough to take some minutes to talk to you when the wind is blowing and trees are swaying then I do hope you will think of me with atleast a little bit of affection that I think of you two with.
Good-bye Parmus and Corvus, may your nest be full and yours caws raucous.
