does anyone know what happens to the pensieve's memories now that dumbledore is gone?
Do you think they will come to play an important part int he next book??

I'm not sure anyone is all that positive about that. well, J.K. Rowling being the obvious exception. That is, however, a marvelous question. I would suppose that if the memories weren't in his head and still captured in his pensieve, they would play a part in the final book. be it large or small, i bet Harry and friends might worm their way into the pensieve...unless, of course, McGonagall takes it away. Marvelous question, Li.

i am too...and i read really fast, so when i get to the last couple of chapters, i'm going to keep stopping and putting it down then picking it right back up--i don't want it to end!! (aaahhh! we sound like serious addicts or something! well, we are, aren't we? )

I'm sure Dumbledore had other memories he kept in little glass bottles, you know like how some of the memories came out of his head and some from glass bottles? Maybe you can take the memories out of the pensieve and then store them in bottles or something, for future reference.

but why take them from the pensieve? who else would need it?
ooh, question that might've been answered in the book--when you take out a memory and place it somewhere else, do you remember that you have that memory? If you do it to clear space, but still know it exists, you're still thinking about it, right?

Yeah, I was thinking that, and in order to know it exists and think about it you must have some idea of what the content of the memory is... otherwise how would Dumbledore know which jars to give to Harry? Maybe you would want to clear the pensieve so other people could put other memories in there to examine something else?
