OK, so this a story I started writing last night, adn for once, I feel like continuing it!!! 
Unfortunatly, I have to wait till other people post up more of their stories so I can get everything right. Untill then, I will post a bit each week.  Elemmiire walked along platform 9 dragging her luggage with her head hung a little.
Really, she had known that no-one would come to the station with her, and she hadn’t
really wanted anyone to. But it would have been nice of her foster mother to at least offer
her a lift.
She had been so excited when she read her letter, adn almost didn’t believe her eyes. But it
was real! There was a school for witches and wizards, and she had been accepted
somehow. She had a purpose to life after all, adn wasn’t just going to be kept to keep
everyone’s drinks cool when it was hot or to stop the food from spoiling when the fridge
went on the blink.
Thinking about it again made her happy for a moment, until she remembered her foster
mother’s reaction to the news:
“I take you in, feed you, clothe you and send you to school, adn you thank me by taking off
to some school you claim is for witches and wizards. I alwasy knew your parents were a
weird lot, but I never thought it was hereditary! You’re a freak! That’s all there is to it!
Get out of here. And don’t you ever come back because we don’t want you!”
It was at this point that Mrs. Whitherspoon was suddenly frozen in a rather substantial
block of ice, adn Elemmiire had stormed off upstairs to pack as quickly as possible.
Now she remembered why they hadn’t offered to drop her at the station, they were still
thawing her out.
She glanced at ther ticket again, and then realised that it had an error. It said Platform 9
3/4.That couldn’t be right. Or could it?
She stopped for a moment to think, and then looked at her sabel ferret, Arwen.
“How am I supposed to catch a train from a platform that doesn’t appear to exist?” she
asked the rather hyper ferret. Arwen just looked at her and nawed on the bars of her cage.
Elemmiire looked at her hoped they would let her subsitute a ferret for an owl, toad or rat.
Suddenly, she raised her head and looked around, sniffing. She could smell magic
somewhere nearby. Either her platform, or at least another witch or wizard. She began to
push her trolly in the direction of the smell, sniffing as silently as possible as she went, so
as to not attract too much attention.
She felt rather embarrassed when she bumped into a boy around her age with dark hair,
and warm, dark brown eyes.
“Ah, sorry.” he said rather nervously. “I wasn’t watching where I was going. I’m looking
for platform 9 and 3/4.”
She recognised his accent and was put off for a moment before she replied. “You’re an
Aussie? Gosh, I haven’t heard an Aussie speak for years. And I certainly wasn’t
expecting to half run one over this morning.” She stopped abruptly adn looked down,
realising she was probably being too straight forward. She looked up again to see his face
filled with glee.

“Wow! I sure wasn’t expecting to be half run over either, let alone by another Aussie.”
He grined at her, which made her feel more comfortable. “So you are looking for platform
9 and 3/4 did you say?”
He nodded, looking a litle confused, about it all.
“Well so am I. But I’m still trying to work out where it might be. Wait a minute...” she
had caught whift of the smell gain, and it was much stronger now. She sniffed, and then
knew it was the platform they were looking for. The dark haired boy looked at her with
curiosity.
“You’re not just a plain old witch...are you?” he asked, looking at her with a little
suspicion.
“Um...why do you ask?” She was now starting to feel nervous. She didn’t particularly
want alot of people to know her blood.
“Oh, it’s just regu;ar witches and wizards don’t sniff to find platforms.” He shrugged and
turned his trolly around. “So...could you help me find this mysterious platform then?”
Elemmiire smiled at him. “Sure. I’m pretty sure it’s this way.”
She took off, and he followed. they went on for a while, Elemmiire occasionally stopping
to sniff before indicating they were heading in the right direction. They finallt stopped
near a brick wall, looking rather confused.
“”I can smell magic and witches and wizards from the wall, but it’s a brick wall. It doesn’t
make sense.” she looked at the wall, disappointed and feeling rather foolish in front of this
guy. She had been hoping to make a new friend too.
He chuckled a little and smiled at her. “You really are very new to all of this, aren’t you?”
With that, he walked a little way away with his trolly, the turned around and ran at the
wall, and disappeared through it. Elemmiire blinked for a moment, and then slapped her
forhead. How could she have been silly enough to forget this was magic they were dealing
with now.
She also walked a little way away adn turned around, but hesitated for a moment, before
running at the wall also adn disappearing with out a trace through the bricks an mortar.
On the other side, the boy was waiting, with a big grin on his face. “Thanks. I couldn’t
have found it without you.”
Elemmiire smiled at him. “Yeah, but if it weren’t for you, I would still be standing on the
other side of that wall looking cunfused.” She grinned at him, accidently revealing her tiny
fangs. Seeing the surprised look on his face, she quickly stopped and looked to the ground,
embarrassed. “Um, I should probably go. I have to find a cabin.” She quickly ran off with
her stuff, Leaving the dark haired boy dumbfounded. Before he could stop her, she had
disappeared onto the train. He ran after her, hoping to catch up.

*giggles* Don't think I forgot about you Elmmii! I like this story! It's beautiful so far and the part about freezing your foster parents HI-larious! *giggles* If you're wondering why I spelled it that way it's so it's said 'hi' and then 'larious' yeah.. I'll stop now. Hm.. now if only Chris could freeze his foster parents....... or better yet Pansy! Twould be beautiful.

Hehe...YAY!!! Hehe.
Er...sorry. I'm in a bit of a silly mood. All the guys at work have been trying to stir me up all day. Working in a kitchen and sometimes being the only girl there can be a real pain sometimes. 
But yeah. YAY!!! Hehe...glad you like it Chris. You come into it soon. I've written alot more, but I need to polish it up a bit, adn just wanna make sure it sounds right and stuff before I post it up. ^_^

Elemmiire found an empty cabin, put her things away, made sure the door was shut, then slumped down in the seat near the window, feeling rather depressed. She felt like she had almost made a friend, but had obviously ruined any chance of that guy ever wanting to come anywhere near her again. She hadn’t even found out his name.
She took out her new wand and looked at it curiously. Black walnut, dragon heart string, 13 inches. She didn’t really know why she needed a wand. She was perfectly capable of performing magic without one. But her letter said that she required one. She took out Arwen adn petted her for a moment, before letting her run loose in the cabin. She sat back againts the seat and relaxed a little as the train pulled out from the station. She wouldn’t be seeing that horrid family agian for several years if she could help it. She began to wonder if they had managed to thaw Mrs Whitherspoon yet and chuckled to herself as she pictured the nasty woman still frozen from her wasit downward.
It was then she heard a knock on the cabin door...
“Just a moment!” she cried out as she jumped up and grabbed up Arwen and put her back in her cage. Arwen wasn’t very fond of strangers. “OK, you can come in now.”
Elemmiire still had her back to the door, trying to stuff Arwen back in the cages when it opened and a voice said “Can I sit in here with you. All the other cabins seem to be occupied.”
“Sure,” she said as she spun around, and saw it was the same guy from before. They stared at each other for a moment, a little shocked before Elemmiire’s face tured form surprised to unhappy. She dropped her gaze to the side and stayed silent. He continued to stare at her, intrigued by her bright green eyes, dark hair and rather pale skin.
She suddenly spoke, obviously disappointed. “I understand if you don’t want to sit with me. Or if you don’t even want to talk to me again. I’m kinda used to it by now.” She didn’t take her eyes from the floor.
“Why wouldn’t I want to talk to you again or sit with you? I think you’re cool.”
Elemmiire suddenly looked up at him, shocked and very much caught off guard.
“That’s if you still want me to sit with you. If you don’t, it’s cool. I’m sure there are other...”
“No, don’t go!” she pleaded. Then felt riduculous, realising how pathetic that must have sounded, and felt her cheeks warm a little. She looked to the floor again for a moment then looked up and saw he was still there, looking at her, waiting to see what she wanted.
“You can stay if you want, I just thought...”
“The fangs? It’s cool. Just promise me you won’t bite me. OK? I’m rather fond of and attatched to my blood.” he grinned at her akwardly, feeling that he had said something he shouldn’t have.
Elemmiire looked at him blankly for a moment. “You think I’m a Vampire? I don’t drink blood, I’m just part Banshee and all so...” She cut herself off, realising she had said too much.
“Oh! I just thought with the fangs and all...um...never mind. So can I still sit in here?”
“Sure, if you want to.”

He began to bring all his stuff in. “So what’s your name then?”
“Uh, Elemmiire.”
“I’m Andy. Nice to meet you Elemmiire.” Andy out stretched a hand and grined at her. She smiled back and shook his hand. He looked at her, curiously. “Did you forget your gloves or something? Your hands are freezing!”
“No. That’s just the way I always feel.” She tucked her hands inside her robes and sat down on her seat. Andy sat on the one across from her. They began to talk about their experiences with magic and recieving their letters and such. It seemed that Andy had beed transferred from the school of witchcraft and wizardry in Australia, and had only had a limited amount of experience with magic. Elemmiire told him about freezing Mrs Whitherspoon in ice, and he rolled around on the seat laughing.
“Oh come on! You can’t tell me you can really do that!”
“But I can!”
“Prove it then. Come on, I wanna see it!” he smirked at her a little.
She took up the rememberall she had brough earlier that day, and held it in her hand. Before long, a ver faint cold, blue glow came from her hand, amd whisps of cold air rose from it as ice grew over the rememberall. When it was completely covered in a thin layer of ice, she handed it to Andy, who was staring at it in bewilderment.
“Now I realise why you feel so cold! Remind me not to shake your hand randomly again.” he grinned at her, and she grinned back, once again revealing her tiny fangs, but no longer feeling uncomfortabled about it.
Her legs began to feel cramped, so she decided to go for a bit ofd a wander around the train, leaving Andy to play with the frozen rememberall. It wasn’t long before she came upon a small crowd gathered around a boy with a box. She heard a boy talking about tarantualas, and listened to the facts he was putting forward. She looked at him. He was rather tall for a first year, but he seemed to have that air about him that suggested he knew alot. She went to say somethings she knew about tarantualrs and spiders in general, but she felt someone tugging on her sleve and tured round to see Andy.
“Hey, come on. I think we should get our stuff ready, cos thed train will be stopping at the station soon. Hurry up.”
She glanced back at the blonde boy with glasses and lots of trivia, and then turned and follwed Andy back to their cabin.

OK, so the rest of what I wrote needs alot more polishing, and there are a couple of bits I wanna change before I post em.
But that's about half of what I have written so far, adn I have lots more stuff planned. I just need to let other people who are including me in their stories write a bit more, so I can keep it all in line with what they have planned. After all, some of you guys have been planning a nd editing your works for months. Where as I have just done this in the spur of the moment in the last 2 days.  I'm far too impatient.

*smiles* Woo hoo! I like when people write about the glenmorians. Don't rush things Elmmii, it's really interesting and very well written. I like it. It gives me much needed insight on your characters past, what they feel, what it was like for them at Hogwarts etc etc. A lot of my story depends on Ginny's so who knows how quickly I'll get through it. I plan on it being rather quick with this first year though.
*smiles* I haven't been editting or planning anything for months. I just write when I feel inspired.

Yeah, I know I haven't really revealed anything about my character's past at all really, I figured a story would be an easier way to reveal it, rather than a rant. ;D

So how do you like the way I have put your character in so far, Andy? I made him pretty much the way I remember you being when I first met you here. Kinda shy in a way, very goofy, but so very nice and friendly.
Actually, I don't think you have really changed much either! Hahahahaha! ;D

*gets struck by a thought* Ow! Curse you thought! Have I revealed anything about Chris' past? *blinks and tries to fend off the thought* Ahhhh! She's gonna kill me! *giggles* Sorry, when I ger hyper thoughts, idea's, and muses tend to attack me. Ooh Ooh! Please read my story in Glenmore Elmmii! Woohoo! Finally the back story to the cold spells! Ele, this is really good -- I love the offhanded remarks about Mrs. Weatherspoon and the way you're working with the overall story. I also very heartily dig the fact that you didn't describe your own fangs until it came up in convo with Andy -- revealing details as we your audience would see them -- yay.
Why does everyone think they have to revise BEFORE they post? (sst -- I know I'm guilty too, I'm asking this as a genuine question.)
