This one is not as good as some of my others but I won a poetry contest with it so her it goes........ Ocean Waves A roll of thunder strikes the water. Dolphins cascade in the breeze. Dark clouds reflect in glassy waves. Marine life all around. On stormy, Rainy Days.Hope you like it.

I won something for my poem once but i cant find it. i remember some of it... Its about my horse.......
Eyes of fire, mane of flame, Who is this filly, what is her name? "Apache" she's called, she's my little paint mare, She's got a sweet face, and black and white hair.

I wrote a poem about a week ago. It isn't really revised yet, but I think I might just leave it as it is. Dedication: The Devil
You think you know what life is? You know nothing. You know what turns you on, You know what freezes you up You know you will, not, win.
You think you see what we see? You see nothing. You see what gives you power, You see what makes you weak, You see your own defeat.
You think you hear what we hear? You hear nothing. You hear terror of your praise, You hear rejection of your ways, You hear rejoicing at your death.
You think you smell what we smell? You smell nothing. You smell the rotting of your soul, You smell the population whole, You smell your own decayed remains.
You think you taste what we taste? You taste nothing. You taste the bitterness of death, You taste the reak of your own breath, You taste the bile of your utter failure.
You think you feel what we feel? You feel nothing. You feel the fear of you own judgement, You feel the rushing of your fall, You feel your life's blood draining.
I think I know what life is, I know nothing. I know what turns you on, I know what freezes you up, I know you will, not, win.

Yeah, the first stanza is my favourite. I was just lying in bed (I had slept over my friend's house, so she was shifting around next to me) and that first stanza just popped into my head. Well, of course I had to write it down. So I crept out of bed, careful to move quietly since a fly buzzing in Tibet could wake up Meghan, and grab my notebook. Then, once I started writing that one stanza, the rest just came to me, so I kept it up.

Okay this poem's a bit angry but everyone who reads it says that it's good anyway...........
Humanity’s Demise
We whisper words of malice into unknowing ears. We give you judgmental eyes with which you see the world. We take hold of you without you knowing— And when you do, it’s too late; you’re under our command.
We must be taught to little children from a very early age, ‘Cause if they’re not, it’s way too late. They must to be taught to judge with us; to see the world thought us But remember the most important thing, it must begin at home or else they’ll never learn.
We are both judge and jury, No one can escape our justice. We feed on the ignorance of humanity. Minds filled with suspicion and ignorance—our breeding ground.
Suspicion, animosity, bigotry, those are our designs Humanity’s warring past—our greatest pride. We inhabit the darkest corners of the world We lurk in the darkest recesses of the human mind.
You’ve tried to shut us out many times, But we’re still here, hanging in the shadows waiting to strike. And now we’ve returned with a vengeance and can no longer be calmed We will bring about humanity’s demise.
Beware of us for escape is nearly impossible for we are cunning and relentless. We go hand in hand— Where you find one, you’ll find the other—we are everywhere at once. We are………….FEAR and HATE.

Thanx 8) Here's another one.....
Precious Gift
I am called life. I am more precious than gold or silver, There is no price tag for a priceless treasure such as me. I am more beautiful than diamonds. I am much better than fame or fortune. I am more unpredictable than the weather. I can be caring like a mother. I can be cruel like a New England winter. I can be taken away in one quick breath, But you could always have me for quite a long time. You only get one of me, so treat me with care But make the most of me ‘cause you’ll miss out if you don’t My name is LIFE; remember it always. ‘Cause the most precious gift that you’ll ever receive is me— The gift of LIFE.
