It was the wedding day of Sir Riggio and Princess Deliops. The sun was shining, flowers were in full bloom and in the grand courtyard of King Koru’s castle there was an assortment of all types of people and classes, all awaiting the appearance of the bride and groom and the beginning of the ceremony. Today was a joyful day, where everyone could relax and enjoy the festivities soon to come.
The way this wedding day had come about was that several months ago, a dragon was ravaging the countryside of the Kingdom Rinx and demolishing anything in its path. King Koru sent out all his best knights to destroy the ferocious dragon but they were each incinerated by a single fiery breath. In an attempt to rid himself and the kingdom of the dangerous dragon he sent out messengers to all the nearby kingdoms proclaiming that who ever could slay the dragon would earn the king’s youngest daughter’s hand and a large sum of gold. Knights from all different parts came, but each one was dealt a burning death. The Kingdom and all its inhabitants began to despair that they would never be rid of this dragon. But one day, a knight came riding up to the dragon on his golden steed. He whipped out his gleaming sword, aimed straight at one of its hearts and threw it at the dragon before it could even puff a single cloud of smoke. The sword was thrown with so much power that it delved deep into the dragon’s gut and only the hilt could be seen sticking out. The dragon was instantly killed and the knight a national hero. The knight’s name was Sir Riggio. Half a year later, the wedding day had finally come, and everyone had a smile on their face and was eagerly anticipating the festivities after the bride and groom exchanged their formal vows that would soon come afterwards. That is, almost everybody.
On the top of a lush green hill, among the edge of the nearby forest sat a sad looking young girl peering down at the castle, where the wedding was being held. The girl’s name was Stori and she was the younger sister of Sir Riggio. He was the only family Stori had. The reason she was unhappy was because for the first part of her life she had run free in the forest, and her only human company was her brother who she lived with in a rustic house in the middle of the woods. When Riggio defeated that dragon, he won the hand of the princess and they now have been living in the castle for the last six months. Stori wanted to go on one of those quest like her brother did, but apparently her future was to be in the boring castle that she was now staring at.
