*out of tune twanging is heard as Ceri strides purposefully across to the others, her lyre hanging across her back [hence the twanging]. Her hair is braided with fresh flowers, her dress is plain, with a simple bodice and full skirt. Her feet are bare*
Good morrow! Do mine ears deceive me, or is there to be a tourney?
*bows*
I am Ceridwen the Fair - not a name I bestowed upon myself, sweet gentles, but one which has attached itself to me during my travels as a bard. I am honoured to have come upon such a fair and merry band. May I ask the privilege of joining you as we walk toward the jousting match?

*delightedly* What a company... fools in motley and fair folk with lyres! The only thing lacking, methinks, is good food!
*turns toward the stalls, sniffing expectantly*
*to Moira* Would milady like... an orange? A sweet tart? *glances back at stalls and makes a face* Kolaches?
ooc: Ceri, the match ended rather abruptly at the end of the last page so perhaps a snack break is in order before the next event? But yay! glad you're here!

(ooc: That's what you get for not reading the posts properly, I guess... imagine my blushes. Pardon the faux pas)
*smiles sweetly*
How sad that I have happened upon you too late to enjoy the tourney. Food sounds delightful, however!
*to En*
If thou wouldst be so kind, whilst thou art searching for provisions for thine lady Moira... an orange, for this weary troubador. Twould hit the spot.

*very offhandedly hands Ceridwen an orange all punctured with whole cloves... and tries to keep a straight face*

Equally offhandedly accepts the fruit, wondering if she shouldn't have asked for a banana instead, and begins to eat it, muttering her thanks.

*is still prancing around in her leather jerkin, but now she approaches Ceri whilst readjusting one of her bracers*
Oh, good morrow to thee, fair lady. My name is KoNeko, and I come to thee at the turning of the tide from the battlefields of distant lands.
*she is unsure as to bow or curtsey, so she settles for a half-squat, and then fiddles with the hilt of her sword*

*smiles, and then laughs like water gently flowing over rocks, and all that other rubbish*
Honour is mine to meet thee, brave KoNeko.
*doesn't bother with curtsying, ever, so executes a bow to KoNeko, then straightens up suddenly, as the action of bowing causes her lyre to swing around and nearly smack her in the head. She recovers well, however.*
So, brave knight-maiden. How do you fare this lovely morn?

*tries to avoid grinning at Ceri, for it is not ladylike to grin*
Oh yes... today has indeed been a joyous day, for I have happened upon such a wondorous custom, and have seen such sweet and... curious delecacies as this spiked and scented ball, which makes my cursed time on the battlefields with the stench of men but a woeful memory...
*she gestures to the clove-and-orange ball, and sniffs it curiously*

*gazes at the orange in her hand*
O, yes. Truly it is a wondrous sight, and no mistake. I admit myself none too fond of cloves, but an orange is verily a nourishing fruit.
*takes a segment and chows down*
I, in my bardic travels, have come across the stench of men once or twice, I must admit. Being a lady as well as a travelling troubador, however, I didn't get terribly well acquainted with it. Perhaps you can tell me more of these battlefield recollections?
* ;D*

ooc: *ahem* uh, cloven fruit isn't usually meant to be edible... *coughs violently*

*ooc: Eeek... ok*
I was merely pretending to eat this orange, of course. Haha. Any fool knows cloven fruit is not edible. *snorts in derision*
*pockets the cloven orange, attempting not to blush*

OOC: That's what I thought, because aren't they used for making cupboards smell nice? Or I thought maybe Ceri likes cloves...
BIC: Oh, you jest! Thy humour takes my worries and some of my man-stench away... or maybe that is thy cloven orange...

*grateful for KoKo's politeness in the face of her obvious stupidity, trills a small laugh*
So... back to the point, methinks! Fala! How fareth thee this fine day... er... 'Sir Knight'? Is not the air beauteous? *sniffs deeply*

*finds a normal orange and passes it to Moira* Milady.
*to Koko and Ceri* The air is full of incense! Methinks the merchants have traveled far to reach this fair. Shall we go round through the stalls and meet the folk who bring such dainties and wonders to our lands?
ooc: I'm gonna roleplay some merchants for colour, I think, but if anyone who hasn't joined us yet would like to pop in as a merchant and banter a bit, do feel free!

*nods* A splendid idea! I would very much like to purchase a new cloak, as the clasp on mine is broken, and the cloak itself is stenchful... I shall cast it away for now.
*she takes off the cloak and pushes it under the same bush that her mail is still hidden under, and then returns and offers her arm to Ceri*
Gentle maiden, it would be my honour to escort thee to the stalls! ;D
