We don't have any Drama Club in my school. We do have a subject similar to it, but you can't choose it whenever you can. If you didn't choose it in Year 10, you can't choose it in Year 11. Which sucks since I came from a school that didn't have that subject in the middle of Year 11 and when I wanted to change they wouldn't let me, because I hadn't make it's first term. So it's Informatics for me.
School starts next week, I guess. Or Monday. They still don't know. The schedules aren't out, the class lists aren't out. Am I worried? No. I really don't care, specially because this year I'll most probably be on the morning shift, which means getting up at 7 everyday to have 90 minute classes. Bah.
My keyboard is all icky. I have to stop sending people thar Craig Nicholls drawing I did, Nicky. I'm such a little show-off.

We have a sort of Drama Club at my school but it's during break. You have to be good at either acting, singing or dancing to take part. It's for the prize day performance really. They usually do musicals. Like this year they did Beauty and the Beast, and the year before they did Cats, and before that Les Miserables. This year I think thet're doing Annie.
But, I never really took part in mid-day break activities.

They did Les Miz, are you sure? And Cats? Wow! Those are two plays that kind of need lots of people involved and lots of work involved as well, it's fascinating that they managed to do it. Was it good? That's a play I'd love to do, really, if I sang any good and if I acted any good (which I don't know if I do since I never tried it). I'd also like to stage Oscar Wilde's plays, the part wasn't important, as long as I was in one. His plays are just fantastic (so are his books and poetry).
My keyboard is seriously icky, I'm just too lazy to go and get a bit of cotton and alcohol.

Sure they did! They were really good! Well, whoever wants to can take part. So you can imagine the loads of students who take part. From first years to fifth years. I never went to it because the prize day is in December, and they lose loads of lessons to go to the rehearsals. And I really didn't want to lose anything. Lessons are way important!
This friend of mine sings ever so well. She's got a really beautiful voice.
Maybe you should ask someone to bring you some.

My school, since it's a joint University-High school campus and school (it actually has 3 high school campi... but that's not the point, right?), and it's pretty big, staged a lot of great plays. In the past year they did Otello, Annie, Amadeus... and I think that's it. I'm not sure. Of course, I could never participate in drama. I'm not good at those things. I'm weird, because I can stand up in front of a bunch of people and sing and jump around with my friends as if we were really playing (air-guitar style... our band has never actually played) but I can't stand up in front of my 23 people spanish class and deliver a speech. I can't talk. Besides I'd probably laugh or something and ruin it.
My school is pretty big. There's 1571 students in my high school campus. Plus the 150 in the new one, plus the 500 in the old one... Plus all the college students, that's a lot of people.
Lessons were never important until this year, because a)It's the IB b)It's 2 years until Uni c)I actually care about wat they're saying... most of the time. So yeah.
Prize day sounds like fun. I wish we'd have some sort of musical prize day so I could get my dream blue with orange pickguard afiinity precision bass. Fender. Squiers stopped being good sometime in the 90's. Though of course, I wouldn't complain about an Squier. It's just not my dream bass.
I'm playing my defective bass right now. I'm gonna have it fixed soon, and who knows how long it will take... I have to play it now, even if it's defective.

Prize day sounds like fun. Believe me, I love it. Beside getting free books(yeay! ), it takes place in the evening, and each student who is to receive a prize(they came 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a subject) are present. The teachers can't miss out, so we spend the first 30min. or so before the play begins *cough*spying*cough*on them*cough* Then there's the play, then a very boring speech from the headmistress and someone from the educational department. Last year, I swear I fell asleep. Then there's the awarding ceremony. You should see me, going on like "Do I really have to go? Can't someone go instead? Please? Maybe if I say pretty please?" Yeah, guess I'm scared of going on stage and falling.

Over here they just made the same speech every year and everyone who got soemthing went up. I won english medal every year from 1st until 9th grade, except 4th and 7th... 8th grade I almost fall when I was going off-stage. Lucky no one noticed, 'cause they were looking at the next people going on stage. All very fast. Never won anything important. And we didn't get money, or books, or anything.

We should open a topic about school, huh? So we could all speak about pre-classes time and during classes time, releasing our frustrations and everything. Tell me what you think and I'll do it. Plus, Nicky, have you read that extra point for topics open in the Diagon/Knockturn Alley?! I thought that we both could open a music shop.. a Muggle music shop Like "Rita and Nancy's...something", what do you think?
So, cutting off the school topic since this is my last week of holidays and I'm planning on NOT thinking of school (like I could avoid it, I have to go there sometime this week to ask when classes really begin and to check my schedule), I'd like to state that I'm gonna see Velvet Revolver tonight. For those who don't know it, it's like.. Guns'n'Roses+Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots. The band's amazing, though the songs sound a bit the same... but I'm sure that live it will be amazingly powerful. One thing I don't agree with, though, is that most fans are there because of the Guns members in the band. Most of them are just going because Slash is there. This is a huge amount of lack of respect for the band in general, don't you think? Like, when I saw A Perfect Circle I managed to meet them, and most of the fans who also won the contest had Tool albums and shirts for Maynard to sign. Some of them only brought Smashing Pumpkins albums for James to sign. I think this is really stupid. One goes there for the BAND, not for former members of other bands. I understand the admiration. I mean, if Craig Nicholls changed band I would go see the band just because Craig was there, but you see, I would never bring Vines CDS and tees for him to sign, because that was past.
But me and Ciska (the friend who's coming with me) already have the thing settled. If they start screaming for Slash and Guns'n'Roses, me and her will scream for Scott Weiland. Maybe it'll be just 2 voices in a huge crowd. But at least it's something, eh?

I think the music shop's a great idea... but how would we go about it? Like, someone could come in and say "I want something with alternating vocals" and we'd say "Oh, listen to Taking Back Sunday. Especially their first album."? or how?
My pre-classes time is stupid. I get on the bus, I listen to music and read for half an hour until we get there, I leave my backpack in homeroom and then I go to my friends' homeroom. Then we just talk or do homework or laugh our heads off until their teacher goes into the classroom, and then I get to my class exactly 1 minute before the bell rings.
Holidays! They're great. I have a long weekend this weekend though. 3-day week at school.
That's so great Rita. Have fun. Know who's coming here lately? Old 70's and 80's bands. KISS was here a couple weeks ago, then next week we have Yes! with Dream Theater opening for them. I'm not going. My friend is. At least you'll be on the morning shift... everyone is on the morning shift at my school.

Pre-classes as in before the first lesson starts or between lessons?
Hope you have fun Rita! We don't have many concerts going on here. I think the last one was the MTV one me think. There was an event happening here in Malta. But it's not like they make you aware that something like that is happening or anything! I only found out while watching Italian MTV. Personally, I wouldn't go to a concert here in Malta. Can you believe this? Eros Ramazzoti(an italian singer) came here at the end of June. What was the crowd doing? Seated listening! Seriously! You don't sit at a concert! You go round jumping and shouting! Infcat, Eros started telling the crowd to get up because of course he's not used to it sitting down on chairs. I know some people sit down on the floor in other concerts, but really! Sitting on chairs!

Ugh, Eros Ramazotti.... I've been to 2 concerts. One was a Juanes one, I don't like him much, but it was OK. The other one was a Mana concert. They're pretty good, but I think they use very very similar patters in many songs because they sound surprisingly the same to others. Stupid Mexico City gets most of the concerts anyway. I wish Warped would come to Mexico. But they never will. They go to Canada, but not to Mexico. How pretty.
I guess Pre- means before. Over here they changed class periods from 45 to 70 minutes last semester. They also changed us having 7 classes to having 4, plus one half-period in the morning. And, instead of 2 breaks -20 and 25 minute- now we have 3, one between each class except the half-period and first period which is actually second but I just call it first. And when I was a wee firstie (now I'm a thirdie, next semester I'll be a fourtie, etcetera..) Anyway, when I was a wee firstie, we used to go to out at 11:55 on Fridays, and now we don't!! That's the only thing I miss from my first semester.

Don't you like him? I didn't go to the concert for the pure reason that the tickets were too expensive.
Oh, well, before the first lesson, I'm usually on the bus getting to school. I usually read because I've spent like 3 years now looking through the glass at the atmosphere; same road, same trees..... When I get to school I meet up with my friends, and we talk till the bell rings. Then it's off to the morning assembly, and after that the first lesson.
Here, I have 8 lessons on a Monday and Wednesday, and the rest of the week 7 lessons. On Monday and Wednesday, there is the first 3 lessons, then break, then 3 more lessons, then another break, then two more lessons. The rest of the week, 3 lessons in the morning, then break, then 2 lessons, break and the last 2 lessons. On these days, the lessons are longer.

Er.... no Herm... You'll start finding out, I have very very particular music tastes. Maybe I'd like him if I'd heard other stuff of his than what my sister plays all the time. But probably not.
Well, I've only been going to my school last year and this... I remember the first time I got to school on the bus it looked really really imposing and stuff. I'd seen it before, but I dunno... It was interesting... Sometimes, from the right angle, it still looks imposing. I just can't appreciate it as much 'cause I hardly ever get lucky enough for a window seat anymore... too many newbies. The sunrise also looks amazing at school, I love it...
There's this amazing spot, behind the North building, from where you can see the whole Uni campus, all the courts, all the trees, the houses outside, the mountains... I'll take a picture someday. That's where me and Anna went when we cut classes back in first. That's where I go when they say "Go to your favourite spot and answer this..." I love that place. It's calm and peaceful... I also went there in the mornings when I fought with my fake friends and didn't want them to see me at all. That was also in first. First semester sucked. Compared to others at least.

Well you can classify them as soft pop really. I find them very good when I need to write some story or other. Kind of like a good means of concentration and inspiration. But, everyone to his/her own tastes after all. I for example, don't like rap much, and heavy metal and that kind of music.
Yeah, I think that's the part I like most. Watching the sunset on the bus. I usually get the seat by the window because where I wait for the bus is like its first stop. Besides, I normally have a seat for myself unless there isn't space but anyway.
My school is like a mixture of building, nature and a road confuzzled all together. But I like the fact that if I get out of a building, I see trees and flowers. I like it.

See yeah, I'm not really into pop music... it's so... poppy... and all the same... And I'm just remembering how when I was an upper elementary school kid, it was the *boom* of pop. The spice girls, boy bands, britney and christina and other such... I imagine Herm, you also like Tiziano Ferro? My sister is obsessed with that man, Or with his music. I'm not sure.
I hate rap. Metal's alright... not my choice of music, but I know how technically complicated it is to play, especially on guitar, so I sort of admire metal musicians. Except drummers. Or well, drummers too, for holding back on their impulses to play what they really can. I'm more of a punk-rock-emo person. I'm really emo lately.
What time do you get out of school?
