I think those people are going overboard. Commenting that she doesn't match up with the mental image we've had since reading the books is one thing, but setting up hate sites is just overreacting. She's not ugly--she just doesn't look like Cho Chang as we imagined her. Just as Clemence Poesy doesn't look like Fleur.
I think the actors sorta need to expect this. I mean, making a book into a movie is a big deal when you have so many [crazy] fans who are concerned about the canon and being faithful to the books. Until the movie comes out and these actors blow us away with their acting skills [hopefully ], it's pretty natural for fans to nitpick and criticize whatever we can. It was the same deal with David Thewlis playing Lupin, at least for me; I still don't think he looks like Lupin in the slightest, but his acting compensated for that...to some degree.

Yes I read that one. It's absurd really. True, she's not like how I imagined Cho either, but I don't hate her. People can really overreact sometimes.
This is a part of the GOF script I only just found, although I realised that people have known about it for quite some time now. I love Rita!! ;D

I only skimmed it (it's kinda surprising that they would release a part of the script, isn't it?), but it was pretty cool, almost like reading another HP book. ;D Like with this part:
I love it! I can completely imagine the scene and the sound of their voices. Lovely, lovely. ;D

Good, because I didn't think there was any blood when Cedric dies, he just kind of falls over.
Oh! Oh! They showed a teensy snippet of the filming of GoF on the news here, you know the scene when they're at the yule ball? Harry's dancing with Pavarti (who is wearing this really cute pink and silver-ish sari). The ballroom scene is a lot emptier than I expected. He has really good hair there though, it's all mussed and he has black dress robes though, not green. It looks more like a tux with a really big bat cape over the top.
Soundbyte from Dan Radcliffe: "he's no good with girls and no good at dating so this is really good for anyone who has never been good with girls"
(I'm writing this just as the news broadcast is on so forgive the typos!!)

Yes I've seen that. I've posted what I've written below in the other thread too. At first I thought what you had written Ko was someone saying it about the DR, but it appears DR was talking about Harry.
TLC has some interviews you might like to see. There are three separate ones for Dan, Emma and Rupert(in which I got the impression that only Rupert seemed to be acting naturally, and I was shocked at seeing Emma using a quotes figure with her fingers something which I tend to do quite often) and then there's one which has the three interviews together with other scenes, from where the pics above came from.

The network premiere of CoS is still on, but I already saw the little GoF preview. Pretty awesome! ;D It showed a lot of the same stuff in the pics you guys have already posted, like the goblet, the different champions (Fleur doesn't look as "bad" as she seems in the pictures, really), the maze, and the dragon. Oh! But something really cool that they showed was Durmstrang and Beauxbatons schools in the Great Hall; it almost seemed like a circus or a parade, with them dancing or marching in formation. They also had the scene where Dumbledore announces the Triwizard Tournament (it made me miss Richard Harris...I feel he would've made the scene more touching ).
LIVE UPDATE! (Lol...I'm watching it while I'm typing this.) They just showed a bunch of the Yule Ball, particularly the dancing! Hermione, wearing her pink dress, which is really quite pretty, with little layers or something on the skirt, dances with Krum outside in the snow; he even lifts her up and spins her! It looks very cute. ("Hermione sorta has a boyfriend," says Emma) ;D And Harry "waltzes" with Parvati. Either Harry or Dan Radcliffe says, "Don't you trust me?!" (I'm not sure if that was just between shooting or if that was actually the scene.)
And they showed Cho! Have you ever walked down a hall and run into someone, except both of you start trying to move in the same direction, so you're both essentially stuck there and you just have to laugh it off? () Yeah, that's the scene they showed of Harry and Cho. They were under a doorway. They actually looked really cute together! Maybe Katie will be a good Cho after all--it does depend a lot on chemistry.
There'll probably be some more previews or at least Dan, Rupert, and Emma talking a bit more. *excited*

Hee hee, I watching it too, SP. Actually, I'm also trying to tape it so my brother can put it up on the internet for you foreign folks who don't get American television. I've missed some of it, though. I didn't like the scene where the other schools were entering the Great Hall and dancing. It made me think of the old tv show Fame. Or of West Side Story or something.

Yay! Isn't it lovely?! I have it all taped, but I don't even think you need to worry about it. MuggleNet is already posting all sorts of links where they have the trailer and other clips. Give them a few days and they'll probably have all the GoF footage online somewhere.
Well, I like the dancers. They give the scene a very festive feeling, don't you think? And that's what the Triwizard Tournament is meant to harbor, feelings of unity and friendship. (Of course I'm also obsessed with dancing ) On MuggleNet, I think they called them the Capoiera Dancers, and if I'm not mistaken, Capoiera is a type of Brazilian dance.
Oh, the last segment of interviews/clips that they showed was about Ron being jealous of Hermione (it's really sweet; he smiles when Hermione's walking down the steps all dressed up for the Yule Ball and about Ron and Harry's row:
Harry: You're a git. Ron: You think so?

I've downloaded the clips!!! And the trailer is out! I love the drumbeat to it. It makes it a lot more exciting. And the horntail is more convincing than the pics showed. My brother loved it anyway.
I actually loved the dancing scene, I thought it was a cool bit. Then again, like Sphi, I like dancing. I'll probably get this mad urge to get up in the cinema and start dancing myself, buuut, of course I'll resist it.
Emma looks great, but I've already said that. I really loved the scene where she's dancing with Krum IN THE SNOW!!! I thought they looked cute!!!
The scene where there's Cho and Harry, it kinda bugged me really. I dunno why. I just thought it a bit, I dunno, kinda stupid. But I like the look of her as Cho on the other hand.
My brother just can't stand Ron's dress robes, even though I told him that it's much worse in the books because the robes are purple. Seriously, he should read the books.
I can't wait till November! *dancing around hyperactivly *

Yeah, I downloaded all the clips, too, so that I can rewatch them whenever I wish. ;D I'm noticing things I didn't catch/fully absorb last time. Like Madame Maxine walking behind the girls, and "He just asked Fleur Delacour to the Ball." *grin* Hehe, I'm satisfied.
So basically, I just thought all the serious scenes looked really cool and all the relationships scenes looked really cute. Definitely excited to watch this one.
Oh, and correcting myself: Harry says, "You're a right foul git." Much better.

The trailer is good; I like the beginning and the way it shows how much Harry, Ron, and Hermione have changed...so nostalgic.

I tell you, the Maltese can really crack you up. Have you ever heard a "a small Emma Watson", I mean seriously she's 15!! If someone called me small I'd hue their head off. And there's a new character in HP! Yup! Her name is Herm-one.
Sorry, I guess I should explain myself better. I'm watching a clip they showed here on the news last monday. If anyone would like the link, I can post it, but I suppose you wouldn't understand any of what they're saying, except when they're saying the names in HP(names not told correctly, and Rupert was completely omitted!).
Anyway, this is the link if anyone would like to give a curious click: www.di-ve.com/dive/portal/portal.jhtml?pid=8150&id=8159&encADSL=1&enc56k=0&event_id=6193
The trailer came up around the 16th minute.
Herm-one! Seriously!!
