Heey all. I will be finishing my first year of college in May.
I will also be going to the Empire State Games (Big, state-wide competition here in NY for the winter games) the 23rd - 25th of this month.
But the real kicker is that I am joining the Army! Yup, that's right. The US Army. I will be leaving May 30th for Basic Training and then my job training. I won't be home for about 5 months.

Really? What led you to that decision, Jenny? (just curious)
My bookstore's shiny new website is up! www.thehauntedbookshop.com - in case you wondered what it looks like, there are loads of pictures

Wow, the army Jen? That sounds like a huge step! Is this like for college or something?
En, I am checking out your website right now and I love it! It is so quirky and fun to read and really reflects the type of person you are.

I'm sharing this! My "Future Journalists of the World Club" friend has asked me to help out with this school paper she's publishing. I'd be doing two columns, one on music and one on science. And I, of course, said yes. I've never actually been PUBLISHED. On Print. On a paper that's coming once every two weeks. Oh.My.God. I'm so excited it isn't even funny. I swear.

That's awesome! That kind of stuff will look really good on your CV and stuff if you want to get a journalism job somewhere in the future! Congrats!

Congrats nancy!!! That's a truly good piece of news indeed! Coincidentally I'm getting published in a school newspaper soon myself. I wrote a book review, and despite not being much I guess it still makes me go ;D whenever I think of it.
Good luck with everything. If you can I'm sure most of us would be pretty interested in reading an article or two of yours.

Bah, I didn't even get an easter egg hunt this year! Oh well. It's alright, I'm not a huge fan of chocolate. I like eggs though, especially in omelettes.

Congrats nancy! My exams finished yesterday woohoo! Such a relief to be over with that stuff. No fair though, you guys always finish school earlier, though I suppose I'm the one who starts last then.
