Got an announcement, news, updates on your life, updates on your ideas, something you'd like TD to know? Post it here!
My only major news at present (which some of you have heard) is that I am, in fact, going to be hosting a midnight party for HP6. Imagine, me selling HP, dressed in my Hogwarts outfit ;D

Hehe En, she shop-keeper I ordered the book from will probably think I'm crazy, finding me outside the door before the shop has opened. I really don't know if I am expecting any lines. I know when OOTP came out that my 10AM, all books had been whipped away, so I'm taking no chances.
On other news, my farewell party was yesterday. We had to stay the whole time standing, which was a real pain in the back. But I got my free books(the last of them sadly ), and I took some photos, although I didn't dance, but all in all, it went quite well.

Ah, herm! Good luck at your new school and all! I will now be a senior. I have started to fill out university applications but I'm disappointed really. I looked around for enviromental engineering, but it's all co-op or something... it's really competitive to get in, and I don't even have the right subjects in IB... So I'm applying as IB/regular classroom grades, 'cause I took bio freshman year and I took advanced physics and I'm gonna take chem again this year... I'd even take AP tests to prove I know things... Anyway, my carreer line will most likely be biomedical engineering, it's really interesting... but again, I don't take IB Bio, Chem, or Physics, so I gotta find out where they'd accept my other classes on this subjects. Still no word about the alexandria project.

Thanks nancy! My results should arrive in a couple of days. I'm really getting nervous now. I'll let you guys know, unless I'm dead with the shock.
Happy Canada day to all ye canadians of the board!!
When you say Canada is 138 years old, you mean 138 years since it was discovered Lina? Or since it became an independent country?

I'm shocked... it turns out I have to take the PAA at a uni I'm applying for even though I already took it at my school... it is not valid. Also I have to do it next saturday or the one after, ot else I'm screwed (if I wanna study there.)

Wow! Then I guess Malta would be what? 41 years old? Or 31 years old this year since it became a Republic. Even though it's been around for centuries.
What's a PAA nancy? Though from what I understood, it does suck to have worked so hard, and then you find that it isn't valid.

well, it's only harder because I'm going into biomedical engineering and I only just found out that just like for med school, I have to apply at least a year earlier... and that is in one month... so I'm filling out the application, taking the PAA (latin american equivalent of the SAT) and looking for papers on very short notice... then I will get interviewed by someone to see whether I got in or not... But it's not so hard... I mean, I don't have to write any essays or anything. and applying to the other local uni's gonna be easy, you have no idea how much, since I'm already doing my prep school there... lucky me, eh?

Good luck with the application process, Nancy.
Really random, but I just realized that I've been on TD for three years today.

We don't need to do all that stuff to get in Uni here. You just pass all your exams and you're in.
Really Sphinxie? It also happens that tomorrow, on American Independence Day, is my 2nd anniversary from the day I joined TD.

Hehe, my aniversary here is around my sister's birthday or Christmas or something. I'm such a family oriented person.
Happy aniversary Sphi and Hermy!
Li, that's so weird about Canada being 138 or whatever because that means Australia is older as a country than Canada (being like 213 or something years old).
