In Lytter Alley, yes, both by selling and buying services, and they could also earn karma points from us by helping with Yearbooks or other activities. And I would be willing to convert currently owned galleons to karma points just prior to the *cough* thing we were discussing with regard to hot topic points. On the whole, I think it would make our bookkeeping easier - we wouldn't have to have a separate bank, and it would provide a more direct way for members to reward each other for excellence.

Hmmm. That would actually be more workable - if we can convert everyone's current galleons to karma points or something, then that should be enough to start the economy going or something. Plus, that way you can cut out the middle person and have a transaction where a customer ups the storekeeper's karma and the storekeeper takes an equivalent amount from the customer... and everyone can see what's happening there so it's more accountable as well. (If this is going to fly, we might need to change the terminology from exalt/smite to something else though.) And basically here, if people don't like you, you lose money...

And therefore it becomes all about contributing to the community. (I can't change the exalt/smite labels, unfortunately.) Anyway....
You will all notice that whatever galleons you had in your Gringotts accounts have now been distributed into your karma counts. Should anyone have a transaction to post, please notify Zeph or myself so we can alter the numbers accordingly.
...and now for phase II: what you can do with your galleons. muahahaha

Wow, this is such a wonderfull new feature. It gives members a view of appreciation for what they have done. And shows who has not been doing so nicely by negativing them. Muahahahaha its like having power in your hands to rate members. Ive seen this sort of thing on another board supplier thinngy. they had a little bar which the moderator could raise or lower. I have no Karma... does that make me a bad member? Im sorry. Hehe, maybe is because I haven't acted much like a member for a long time. But I Smite you all who dare to question moi! So much fun!

You'll pick up karma if you stick around and that way we know you're contributing positively to the board. The reason you have no karma at the moment is because you've just gotten back. Stick around and it'll change.
