Willow steps from out of the darkness, but the hood of her long black cloak still casts a shadow on her face. She stands still for a while in complete silence, but this silence shatters… by the sound of her coughing.
“Oh dear… should have made myself some honey tea.”
She sighs and pulls her hood back, finally revealing her face. The trademark Slytherin smirk plays on her lips after another beat of silence. Nonchalantly the Slytherin strolls to the large marble table in the center of the room and tilts a shiny green apple from the stone bowl.
“…It was throwing off the balance… Well, anyway, welcome to the Slytherin Visitor's Room. Make yourself at home… if you can, but please don’t make a mess of the room. If I come back to find everything out of place I will be just a bit ticked…”
Beat
“I’m joking. Have a ball in this room, be merry, juggle knives, sing about mushrooms, do whatever you please. Oh, and do remember to eat an apple before you go. It might just preserve your life a little longer.”

* Jaedan walks in quietly, happy to be surrounded by silence. she lowers the hood of her cloak and drops her bag in a chair. She walks around, gently touching things. books on a shelf against the wall. the edge of the table. the mantle of the fireplace. she sighs as a small smile plays across her soft features*
"home.."

ooc: can it be?! A hopeful?!
*happens to turn her head as she's passing the common room. Stops short*
...Why hello. I don't believe we've met. Are you a transfer student?
I'm Sphi. Nice to meet you.

*Jaedan turns sharply as the silence is broken*
Hello. My name is Jaedan Kincaid. I just transferred in. I am hoping to be sorted into Slytherin.

*pokes head in* I thought I smelt a newbie!
Welcome, welcome. Have a seat! How's it going? I don't think I have formally introduced myself yet, but I did see you around here already. I'm KoNeko, one of the Hufflepuff heads of house. Welcome to TrapDoor. If you need anything at all, I'm sure we'll be happy to assist. We're a pretty friendly bunch around here, but watch out for the sparkly marshmallows. Never have those in your cocoa.

*Jaedan smiles tentatively*
"uhmm...hello. My name is Jaedan. It is very nice to meet and honestly you two have been the only people I have come upon. This place is quiet...so unlike the other schools I have attended. I have three brothers and a younger sister so home can get abit noisy as well. "
*Jaedan sits on the edge of the couch with her back ramrod straight and looks at KoNeko curiously.*
"Sparkly marshmellows?"

"Ah, well, you never know with those badgers."
Willow strides over to the little gathering of people.
"Hello there, I'm Willow, a Slytherin Head of House. The other one is somewhere around here... Anyway, flatter or impress me and you might just find yourself a Slytherin."
She smirks and winks at Silver before taking a seat.

*Jaedan looks down at her hands dejectedly*
"Well there isn't much about me that's remarkably impressive and I'm not near eloquent enough to flatter."
*she sighs and looks up at Willow with a smile*
"Hello Willow. It is very nice to meet you. This is a lovely room especially for a new student. You must have been the mastermind behind it all for it oozes creativity and intelligence."
*a michievous sparkle finds it's ways into Jaedan's bright green eyes*

*grins*
I love a good Slytherin sparkle.
Yeah, the place has been quiet recently...not only our common room but the whole castle. I guess since it's almost time for OWLs and NEWTs, some people are really panicking.
*cough*
So what's with the sparkly marshmallows?

*Jaedan looks questioningly at KoNeko*
"yes. What is so significant about these said marshmellows?"

ooc: I forgot to mention, Jaedan: if you have any questions about how things work with regards to getting into Slytherin House, you can check the Hogwarts Express board or just ask Willow or myself. Lianne, the other Slythie HoH, is very nice too, but she seems a bit tied up at the moment. Look forward to seeing you around.

*shrug* Oh, you'll have to ask the Ravens about the sparkly marshmallows. I think that one's gone down in TD lore now... actually, maybe I'll tell you the story. (Gather round, children! ) Anyway, when Glenmore (which is the secret cave up in the Ravenclaw room) was newly discovered, a bunch of us would hang out up there and drink cocoa and read poetry and whatever Glenmorians did back then. And one day we had cocoa and En (that's one of the headmistresses) put sparkly marshmallows in her cocoa instead of ordinary ones, and if I remember correctly, the sparkly marshmallows make you hiccup bubbles for months or something... But we went through a phase when sparkly marshmallows were like an epidemic here, and I can think of at least seven people off the top of my head who copped it. But yeah. That's the Ravens for you. They're like that.

*Jaedan looks warily at KoNeko*
"That's only slightly frightening I guess. Maybe I will stay away from the ravenclaws..."

*shrugs* If you've seen the mallows in action, they're actually kind of frightening... but then again, I guess it depends on your level of frighten-ness.
I guess other things to watch out for are things like abductions. They happen with surprising frequency around here...
