Oh, hahahahaha. Very funny, En. No, I'm serious. I laughted out loud. The Procrastinators Club. I'm a member against my will.
Another amusing song:
Only Happy When It Rains By: Garbage
I'm only happy when it rains I'm only happy when it's complicated And though I know you can't appreciate it I'm only happy when it rains
You know I love it when the news is bad Why it feels so good to feel so sad? I'm only happy when it rains
Pour your misery down Pour your misery down on me Pour your misery down Pour your misery down on me
I'm only happy when it rains I feel good when things are goin' wrong I only listen to sad, sad songs I'm only happy when it rains
I only smile in the dark My only comfort is the night gone black I didn't accidently tell you that I'm only happy when it rains You'll get the message by the time I'm through When I complain about me and you I'm only happy when it rains
Pour your misery down Pour your misery down Pour your misery down on me Pour your misery down Pour your misery down Pour your misery down on me Pour your misery down Pour your misery down Pour your misery down on me
You can keep me company As long as you don't care
I'm only happy when it rains You wanna hear about my new obsession? I'm riding high open a deep depression I'm only happy when it rains
Pour some misery down on me I'm only happy when it rains Pour some misery down on me I'm only happy when it rains Pour some misery down on me I'm only happy when it rains Pour some misery down on me
I'm only happy when it rains Pour some misery down on me Pour some misery down on me Pour some misery down on me Pour some misery down on me
I'm only happy when it rains Pour some misery down on me Pour some misery down on me Pour some misery down on me Pour some misery down on me

Ha, a procrastinator's club. What would you even do at the meetings?...that is, if they ever got around to holding one.
Okay, I've found some quotes...finally. So Willow, this means you have to post your picture now since I'm posting my quotes.
"I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it." -- Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card

Ok, ok. I'll do it. Just let me turn on my other computer and I'll start scanning it. -mutters to self- This will take a while...
I'll edit this in few.
Done!
Here it is. I don't know who that is really, but he is a darling Slytherin. Want to name him? Argh. The scanner messed it up, but I guess it doesn't look too bad. No color this time. I hate coloring and looks better with out it anyway. This was sort of a doodle. Drew it out of boredom, but shhhhh... don't let him know that. Hey look... is that my signature over there? -mock surprise- Keep it for when I turn famous.

Some more quotes! They're not the best Slytherin-y quotes, but I always try to find relatable quotes in whatever I'm reading at the moment.
"I knew fate had some devilment brewing there." -- Homer's The Odyssey (book III, 179)
...That's all I have right now.

Hey, I like that quote, Silver. Very... Well, it's kind of sad actually, but I still like it.

Oh I like the doodle Will! The name "Jared" springs to mind when I look at him.

Oooooooh!! It's just lovely, Willow! I like the little smirk he has there, although if you want some constructive criticism, I would say his arm is too thin. Not a big deal, though, especially since this is just a sketch. Actually, para un dibujo simple es muy bueno! Hehehe.
Did you have a certain Slytherin character in mind when you were drawing him? Or was he just some guy you sketched and he ended up looking like a Slytherin would?

Awww, thanks you two. That’s very nice of you. And yes the arm is kind of thin, but I kind of like it that way… I don’t know why. Well, at first I was going for a Draco, but I ended up playing with the hair. So now his hair isn’t slicked back. Jared eh? Jaded Jared… -Wicked laugh-

See how obsessed I am? Whenever I'm reading something, I relate lines and characters to the Harry Potter world, especially the Houses. ("Wow, he is definitely a Gryffindor...") Yeah...so here are some more quotes. Whether or not they're Slytherin-y is up to discussion, but I just think they have a Slytherin mindset. I get this Slytherin-vibe when I read things like these. (I just love these quotes. )
"The wrath of a god is hard to deal with." -- Homer's Iliad (book V, 178)
"For as I detest the doorways of Death, I detest that man, who hides one thing in the depths of his heart, and speaks forth another." -- Homer's Iliad (book IX, 312-313)
"Fate is the same for the man who holds back, the same if he fights hard. We are all held in a single honour, the brave with the weaklings. A man dies stil if he has done nothing, as one who has done much. Nothing is won for me, now that my heart has gone through its afflictions..." -- Homer's Iliad (book IX, 318-321)
"Our minds are as the days are, dark or bright, blown over by the father of gods and men." -- Homer's Odyssey (book XVIII, 171-172)
"Evil may be endured when our days pass in mourning, heavy-hearted, hard beset, if only sleep reign over nighttime, blanketing the world's good and evil from our eyes. But not for me: dreams too my demon sends me." -- Homer's Odyssey (book XX, 94-98)
"Contempt was all you had for the gods who rule wide heaven, contempt for what men say of you hereafter. Your last hour has come. You die in blood." -- Homer's Odyssey (book XXII, 41-43)

-Comes walking in with what looks like a picture frame in her hand. Willow takes a long look at it before hanging it up on the wall. It reads...-
"First, why I wish to join Slytherin. There is no easy, simple answer for this, but I’ll try my best. The one easy answer is that I think the Slytherin house can help me further my pursuits, it will offer me a chance to exercise that ambition that has slowly been quelled by living in an oppressively communal context. Slytherin is the place that allows all people to show their true self, the one most people deny. And the Slytherins are stronger for it.
Examine the traits of the Slytherin, and it will become clear. The Slytherin will not submit to another person unless it’s in their own best interest. They will not be tread upon or walked over. The Slytherin stands in the way of any project that will diminish her/his status. The Slytherin has a strong ego that does not take “no” for an answer. Or, more appropriately, the Slytherin works in such a way that the answer “no” is not even a possibility. The Slytherin does not need to apologize, for the Slytherin lives in such a way that it will never be required of him/her.
The other houses may do, but the Slytherin knows. What does it know? It knows how to play the game and how to use the system. The Hufflepuff may win by hard work, the Gryffendor by righteousness, the Ravenclaw by wit…but the Slytherin, my friends, wins by strategy. And a good strategy will always beat hard work, righteousness, and wit.
The Slytherin watches and sees weakness in others; the others watch and see only the Slytherin’s strength.
I could go on, but I think you understand me. So the question should not be “why do I want to join Slytherin?” Instead, it should be Why wouldn’t I want to join Slytherin?"
--Part one of Jack's entry speech/essay thing...
I was reading through the old entries and I came across this one... -sniffles- Darn it, Jack, where have you been! If I ever see you here again I'll give you a nice, big, welcoming slap upside the head!

Funny how a member who's only been here for a couple months can leave such a great impression, huh? Yeah, Jack's introductory speech is definitely a priceless Slytherin treasure.
Anyways, even though I've been so occupied with school, I still managed to find some Slythie-like quotes in the weirdest place: my history book. Well, I thought some of them were amusing, which made the reading a little more enjoyable. A little.
- "He was neither the first nor the last ruler who decided a vice that generates revenue is not really so bad." (p. 39)
- "To support such a corrupt institution was like winking at the devil." (p. 43)
- "What followed would have been comic had not so many people died." (p. 83)
Willow, you might be happy to hear that I finally read "The Tell-Tale Heart" in full. There are definitely some Slytherin moments in there. I don't have my book with me, but if I find any good quotes from the story, I'll post them.

Ah, Silver... Your quotes are always fun to read. Oooo! You read it? Isn't it great? I still find it very funny...
“You’re a perfect devil, Lestat!” he was saying. “That’s what you are! You are the devil himself!”
“Yes, I know,” I said, loving to look at him, to see the anger pumping him so full of life. “And I love to hear you say it, Louis. I need to hear you say it. I don’t think anyone will ever say it quite like you do. Come on, say it again. I’m a perfect devil. Tell me how bad I am. It makes me feel so good!”

Aww Willow I love your sketch. You've captured the whole Slytherin essence, and I disagree about the arms I think they work well. They give the sketch a more angular appearance.

Why thank you very much, Jameson. I'm... flattered. Hey, do you have any good Slytherin-ish quotes to share? Or song lyrics? Hmmmm?

I'm glad you like these quotes. I'm so quote obsessed, I always find them when I read or whatever. This pic isn't new (it's the same badge I made for the midnight release of book five), but I thought it deserved to be up here.
