You go back to school in the last week of September and it’s your last year? Hmmm… When do you usually get out of school?
I end school of course in the last week of June, so basically, it's the same as with you guys. 'Cause you finish earlier then don't you?
*agress with Willow* Yup.

That's almost equal, then. We usually get out early/mid June. Of course, our school has, like, one of the longest schedules ever.

Ah... Well, that makes perfect sense then. Are you enjoying your break so far?
Long schedule?
So you do have to buy/loan your books. Why on earth would they do that to you guys? I know you have to buy your own book in college, but high school?! I took a college course last summer and the textbooks cost as mcuh as $95 or more!

It's just that we (as in our school) seem to start the earliest and end the latest and have the least vacations compared to other (nearby) schools. And that's just on the surface.
Our books cost that much, too. I have to spend hundreds of dollars for books each year, and then there are other expenses along the way. And we're a public school. It's really quite ridiculous.
My summer's going along alright--not especially productive, but there have been some interesting moments. All I know is that right now, my legs are sooooore. Et tu?

English students probably have the shortest summer holidays ever. They end like in the 2nd week of July and start something like in the first week of September!
I can't say my summer has been special or anything. All I've done is spent a lot of time infront of a,*cough* muggle machine, and read, and went to swim. That's it basically.

Jeez, and I've always wanted to live in England, too. I'm still thinking about going to study abroad there in a couple years, though. They can't possibly make college students do that, too, right!?
Hey, I rather like my muggle-machine-time, too. I should've read more this summer, but I've been lazy and distracted. I feel pretty guilty that I haven't really read anything (besides short stories), not even the books I have to.

I'd love to go study there too. I suppose you'd have to ask Natz for that.
Don't feel guilty. I have spent like a whole month and a half on the LOTR trilogy. I'm rereading it of course. And I still have loads of others. OOC: I have to read the whole Sherlock Holmes collection. ;D

We can form some kind of guilt club, Silver. I'm supposed to do a whole bunch of summer reading for my AP US History class, but I hardly touched it. I normally like history, but it's summer and I'm lazy as you are. I also had to turn in two essays, which I did, but I feel like I BSed it... I'm so screwed when school starts.
Mmmm... England, Italy, Ireland, France... -dreams of Europe-

You study History Willow? You really should speak to Natz one of these days. She wants to become a historian. I never really liked History, especially since most of Malta's history is conecentrated on how miserable the life conditions were here, and how everybody wanted this piece of island in the middle of the mediterranean. Yea\h, the same old story. I was hoping we'd do some stuff on WW2, but nooooooo!!! We just have to continue on the fighting over Malta.
We never touch the history of the world.

Well, I kind of have to, but I'm looking forward to it... for the most part... I'm scared of the AP test. Our Silver over there is quite a history person as well.
Oh, so that's where you're from? So close to Italy... You don't study world history?! Now that's not good. That stuff is pretty important

Hey, I saw Malta during the Parade of Nations for the Olympic opening ceremony!
Hermy, at least you're reading something. I've spent a month and a half reading one of my books, and I'm still only half done. >_< Willow, you actually have to read those books for AP US during the summer? That's pretty bad.
I'm not that great at history, you know.

Hey, I saw Malta during the Parade of Nations for the Olympic opening ceremony!
Yeah, ours was probably one of the smallest group who went to Athens. 7! It's of course due to the money and everything. Can you believe nobody wanted to sponsor the atheletes!
I don't do the history of the world, because to do it, I'd have had to choose history as an option, which I was certainly not intending to do, and I didn't.
I like reading so I suppose I don't find it that difficult. I mean, I take the book anywhere, with me. School, the beach, on the bus....yeah.....I can be considered a bookworm, but certainly not as great as some others here on TD, or as big as En. Although, if I could, I'd go round buying all kinds of books of course. ;D

I think I just find reading required books difficult because I don't want to be doing it. I mean, if I'm reading something I want to read, it's different usually. I guess I just get distracted a lot.
Hermy! You have to help me get through the dart board!! Meet me at the New Site thread!!
