*laughs* I'm a huge fan of Bill Weasley- I see so much of myself in his character. Um, yeah, so he's on the top of my list, and then I'll have to bring in Nymphadora Tonks (because she's cool and cracks me up)... I hope they develop her character a bit, because she seems like the younger face of the Ministry at the moment and doesn't seem to get taken very seriously.

Bill would have to be mine, mainly because I'm the eldest brother, and so is Bill. Bill works with money, and I'm planning on being an accountant.... A rich accountant And he has red hair....
I also like Moody, even though we don't know the real one. He is just a super-Auror who is misunderstood in his old age

Moody creeped me out a bit. He was entertaining to read about but I think if I were a student at Hogwarts I would end up being very skittish around him.
I liked Bill but I think I liked Charlie better. Maybe because the readers seem to know him better?

I found Moody to be very interesting, but maybe intimadating as well. That eye of his...
Bill was intriguing with his long hair and that fang earring, but I must say that I liked Charlie better too. He gets to study dragons for goodness sakes! Is that not the most exciting thing? Yes, dangerous work, but worth every moment of fear, every drawing of blood, broken bone and loss of breath. Because, well, who wouldn’t be breath taken to see these creatures?
But, still, Ginny Weasley is my most adored. I don’t really share the same position in family statues, since I’m the oldest, but I love her none the less. I just wish they’d show her a bit more.

Hmmmm, see, the reason I like Bill is because he's good at what he does but he doesn't fit into a stereotype of a snotty bank worker. He's a curse breaker for Gringotts, so you'd think there might be a bit of adventure in his day- not as much as Charlie, I'd assume, but still- but yeah. The dragon-hide boots. The long hair. The earring. I guess I see as much unconventional professionalism in Bill as in my own multiple piercings, platform boots and purple hair when I work at court, so that's where I'm coming from. Plus I'm also the eldest sibling.
I reckon Ginny is so cute.

I liked Grawp.
I can't help it, I just found him more cute than scary. He just doesn't know any better and he's really lucky to have a brother like Hagrid who loves him unconditionally just cos Grawps is his brother.
I can identify with Bill as well, being the eldestand having piercings that not everyone agrees with and purple hair that is often justthe wrong shade of purple for alot of people.
And I like Luna, cos she's how I wanted to be in school, but wasn't until the last couple of years.

I like both Bill and Charlie but I’d have to say my favourite is Charlie. I think it’s really just because we’ve seen more of him though. It’s cool how he gets to work with dragons and such. I don’t think I’d like him nearly as much if he had pursued Quidditch after school. I know they say he awesome and what not but it’s great to see that his passion for dragons was greater than his love for sports.
I don’t like Ginny very much. My respect for her increased in the Order though. It’s great to see her coming out of the shadows. Like before her admiration for Harry just seemed to engulf her so now that she’s overcome that I’m coming to like her more and more.
I like Luna too. She seems so unaffected. Like when she was posting signs for her belongings and I couldn’t help but feel bad for her. Really she just doesn’t seem that strange. Strange yes, but not to an awful extreme. And I just don’t see why people would take her things and then not have the decency to return them after the years end. But she just seemed so accustomed to it. I thought that was unfair because she shouldn’t have to put up with such treatment. But yeah I like her earrings.

I respect Luna totally, because she's something I'll never be. She might be weird but although people insult and say nasty things about her, but it's not like she doesn't care, BUT, she doesn't take it seriously, she just ignores it. And that's something I like about her.

But that's just it- Luna has some sort of innocent charm or some sort of appeal like that because she seems so spaced out all the time that all the insults and stuff just sort of bounce off her... I think there's more to her than all that, maybe she's secretly taking in what everyone says and stuff even though she doesn't look like she's paying attention at all. And yeah, that sort of mysterious quality about her personality I like.

Heh, I was so Luna in school it wasn't even funny (ask Lumie, she'd remember) -- right up to dressing oddly, reading strange stuff, having left-of-center ideas about the nature of the universe, seeming really detached one minute and overreacting to something (usually by laughing too much) the next -- yeah, even the spaced-out look. I was like, finally! A character I can understand!
Of course I can't actually speak for Luna; but I did feel alienated as a kid, and the insults did sting. But I was so off in my dream world that most of the time, I couldn't remember the insults and I wasn't really lonely. Then I got mixed up in our school's equivalent of a Dumbledore's Army and suddenly I was in with something I could do, you know? And I wasn't bad at it -- and all the other kids were like, okay, s/he's weird, but s/he's good, we can dig that. So it all turned out in the end. It just took me a while to come back from dreamland, and I never quite entirely did, either.

Everbody has his or her own disadvantages though. Like a friend of mine, she's American, she's a dwarf but she lives a pretty normal life. She plays basketball, she's even the manager of the team, and she gets along pretty fairly with everyone.
One bad thing about some people is that they judje a book by its cover and that's where many times, they go wrong. Just because a person looks weird and maybe acts like that, it doesn't mean that he/she isn't a nice person. Maybe that person is passing through a bad time, and is acting like that.

Yeah, one of the things I like about the books is that each character has an achilles' heel. Fred and George, for example, are really smart and inventive, but they just don't like focusing on schoolwork. Or take Ron, the brilliant strategic mind and not a bad Quidditch player, who's so afraid to make an idiot of himself that he makes himself nervous and screws up. It makes each person seem much more real that each one has flaws.

Of course you can't have a charcater who's perfect in everyhting. We all know that no human being is perfect.

Well, you can, but nobody would think s/he was a real person
I wouldn't want perfect characters. Perfect people would be really boring, and who can relate to an imaginary perfect person? It's a lot easier to find someone who has the same flaws and strengths as you. I mean, when I say I'm like Luna, I mean I'm pretty smart but I'm a real space case sometimes And if I'm like Lupin, it's because I have a nasty disease that bothers me on a regular basis. I hope I'm also a good teacher. See, it's much easier to relate to imperfect people

I see. I'm so not good for a teacher!! Just to do a 5 min. lesson, it was a major crisis. Doing notes and handouts!!
I'm like hermione because, not to be boasting or anything but I guess I do pretty well in exams and tests. Who else can I relate too? Hmm...
