I read in the paper yesterday that they're filming for GoF (and have been for a month or so). It's due to come out in summer (er, read: Christmas) of 2005.
So yeah, some cast and crew are as follows:
The film will be directed by Mike Newell.
____________________ (In other news, they WILL be making a HP5 film... in 2007- when Daniel Radcliffe will be 18. )

*hops* I'm so excited for this one ;D I've been debating for the last week how much I want to see it, and if I'm willing to wait in line for 40 minutes to see it on the Friday... I think I might
I also heard that they've started filming the 4th because they "want to do it before the kids grow up too much." I haven't heard anything else about it though. What else has Mike Newell directed?

Let's see... a quick Google search on Mike Newell reveals that he's done other movies such as Mona Lisa Smile, Donnie Brasco and Four Weddings and a Funeral... well, those are the most well-known ones, so yeah, that should be interesting.
And yeah, about their ages, at this rate, if they do 6 & 7 as well, those kids are going to be like, 25 or something and playing kids at school (not that that hasn't happened before in film or anything : but yeah.
I'm curious as to know who got the part of Cho Chang!! I heard that it was down to three girls, and one of them was a New Zealander who is on TV here (on Neighbours, but anyway ) so yeah. News on that would be good.

I really hope they keep using the same actors in all the movies. I wouldn't mind if they used 25-year-olds to play 18-year-olds, to be honest. They'll still look young enough. And they certainly better not change the adult actors.
Hm, I suppose that girl looks like a pretty good Cho Chang. She sorta looks like one of my classmates.

*wrinkles nose* Ugh, I don't like that Cho Chang girl already... I don't know, I always thought Cho was more... docile and sad looking (well, she IS always crying and stuff ). I don't know. Or maybe that hat put me off.
Anyway, they were looking for Krum as well... click here

I just found this. It seems they have cast Viktor Krum. At first they were saying a Scottish guy was playing him but this I guess is official seeing as Warner Bros. announced it:
Bulgarian boy does take up the role of Viktor Krum in the fourth blockbuster Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The teen Stanislav Yanevski, living and studying in London, has turned out to be the favourite choice of director Michael Newell.
After months of silence and controversial information around the nationality of the future-to-be Potter star, Warner Bros announced their decision to producer Victor Bozhinov late on Thursday.
Bozhinov was in charge of carrying out the Sofia casting at the end of February in search for the best Bulgarian teen boy to play the leading role of Potter's quidditich team head.
The Warner Bros' London-based office has remained silent over further details around Bulgarian Potter-star Stanislav Yanevski.
Casting producer Victor Bozhinov reminded that the idea of selecting a Bulgarian to play Viktor Krum was inspired by the Bulgarian background of the quidditich player in JK Rowling's book.
On Saturday, Harry Potter fans dispose of the unique opportunity to gather in Sofia and get acquainted with the latest Potter game. Event organizers told Novinite.com that more than 800 participants are already on the list.

I don't know how reliable this is, but on Mugglenet, it says that Goblet of Fire is due November 18, 2005. It seems like a reasonable time to be finished, but I have no clue how they can already set a date.
Mugglenet also posted that Robert Pattinson has been chosen to play Cedric Diggory.

*grins* Weird, I can't see him and the girl being Cho Change as a couple... but he's not bad looking at all.
Anyone have news on Fleur yet?

Just so people can see quicker, this is the picture of Clemence Poesy. (Neko, I can't see the two of them together either, but then again, I also can't see her with Daniel Radcliffe. )
Hermy, I guess they're not using the same guy who played "Cedric" in PoA. I checked the cast of PoA and couldn't find anyone listed for Cedric Diggory. They probably just chose some random guy to fill the roll since it wasn't terribly important at that point. But at least we got to catch a glimpse of "Cedric."

Yeah, I don't know about Cho, Sphi. I can't see her with Daniel Radcliffe either... I don't know. I guess she'd better be really good at acting or something because I really don't think I can see her at Hogwarts and stuff at the moment.
Hahaha Fleur looks... confused. I am really mean to everyone they cast, right? But she looks more Fleur-ish than the girl playing Cho looks Cho-ish I guess. Do they have a sister for her yet?

We're just protective of our HP characters. We did it for Sirius and Lupin before PoA came out, and now we're doing it for Cho, Krum, Fleur, Cedric... And it'll happen again with, I don't know, Umbridge, Dedalus, Madam Bones, Mrs. Figg... You get the point. So maybe the acting will make up for their appearance.
Okay, now that we have that out of the way, back to criticizing (): That Fleur isn't nearly as pretty as I imagined. She should be mesmerizing, shouldn't she? I guess they still have make-up artists and stuff, though.
