Inspired originally from Ms. Cassandra Claire’s The Malfoy Family’s Code of Conduct, I decided to create our own, but for the Slytherins. Sounds fun, no? Below is the excerpt from Claire’s Draco trilogy, which might spark more inspiration.
So, my Slytherin mates, let us create our guidelines shall we? Post any suggestions and/or comments below.

No Malfoy may have red hair. Colors Malfoys are forbidden to wear include canary yellow, powder blue, and pale pink. No Malfoy may use pastel stationary, nor accept letters written upon pastel stationary. At teatime, all Malfoys must pour milk into their cup before the tea is added, especially inside the Manor. Upon the birth of a Malfoy the child's name must be chosen from the following lists; for a boy: Octavian, Lucius, Vladimir, Augustus, Alexander, Darius, Draco...

Guidlines for the Trapdoorian Slytherin Student
Guidlines for the Trapdoorian Slytherin Student
- Never smile, wink or giggle unless trying to sedu- … charm someone.
- Never degrade yourself unless in the presence of higher powers… very high powers.
- Do not slouch, spit, drool, belch or any other unpleasing and unattractive bodily functions in the public.
- Always look after your fellow Slytherins and be there for them. Be loyal and trust worthy to your housemates as well.
- As Slytherins, you must never tell a lie… but bending the truth is not forbidden.
- Always refer to people out side the Slytherin circle by their last names.
- Always pay respect to authority even if you dislike him/her. You can use them to get what you want this way.
- Always respond to an individual when they call you with an arched brow, “Yes?” or “What do you want?”
- Never break down in tears in the public. It’s a symbol for weakness and bad for the reputation.
- Slytherins are not responsible for the stupidity of other houses...
- Never beg unless the situation calls for it… desperately.
- A Slytherin is free to do anything he pleases as long as he does it with style.
- More is good, all is better.
- When all else fails, use the subtle art of sarcasm.
- The bigger the smile, the sharper the knife.
- If you are cornered, break the wall.
- For every rule, there is a loophole.
- Bright colours are the devil's work.
- Tantrums are good. A systematic and brutal revenge is better.
- Be powerful, beautiful, and without regret.
- If you can't dominate...manipulate.
- The best way to keep one's word is not to give it.
- There is no subsitute for victory.
- Keep 'em guessing
