I think I'll just get supplies to make network cable. I like doing that, and people pay money for the finished product. Then I have money to keep buying more cards and Bretonnians. ;D
KoKo, Hitman 3 is meant to be coming out soon. Game where you play an assasin and have to complete missions. The first two were apparently very cool. Rohan, Stips and Grant don't stop raving about it.

Oh, I just started playing Max Payne on PS2. Yes, it's quite old now (given that Max Payne 2 has been out for a while as well) but it's really quite good. It's a 3rd person shooter and you're a cop who goes around trying to uncover some mystery drug ring involving lots of gangs. It's made by Rockstar (the same people who brought you "Grand Theft Auto" and "State of Emergency") so yeah. Right up that alley. Oh, and there's this cool Matrix-style "bullet time" thing which slows everything down and you can direct the trajectory of your shots and stuff while everyone is slow. Pretty cool.
Thing with this one is that - unlike GTA- you actually can't just run into a room with all guns blazing- you actually need some sort of strategy, or otherwise you'll get a shot to the head and die. So you can sneak up behind people and snuff them, or avoid them altogether. I quite like it. It's a lot more realistic than GTA, but I wish that I have played "True Crime- Streets of LA" because I think that would be the closest thing to compare it to. But yeah. It's good, if you're into that sort of thing.

(I think it is a stocktake sale or something. )
Anyway, I went to buy a new video game last night. After clawing my way through throngs of nerds, I was stuck with the following options (all the same price interestingly): -Max Payne -Max Payne 2 -The Getaway -Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly -True Crime: Streets of LA -Kingdom Hearts
So yeah... due to my indecisiveness, I ended up with nothing. But I REALLY want to get Simpsons Hit and Run, I tested it when I was there and it is like a really cartoony and funny version of Grand Theft Auto.
Speaking of GTA- there's a new Grand Theft Auto comiing out later this year! It's called "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" and basically it's like GTAVC but taking place in San Andreas instead of Vice City (obviously). More news when I know.

We were looking at Simpsons: Hit and Run a while back. Simpsons games usually aren't great though, so we left it.
Zelda: Four Swords is coming out on GameCube methinks. Also, there are some platform LotR games coming out. World of WarCraft hopefully will be out by the end of the year
Ko, what do you like about the GTA games?

I'm a sucker for gratuitous violence.
No, well, besides that, I like the fact that you're not bound by the missions in the game- I know that for the story to progess you have to do certain things, but you can also do other things or just explore the environment and do the side missions or whatever. And there are all these different elements like, you have your shooters (both the strategy ones and the "all guns blazing" ones), but you also have the car racing and something really similar to the the "Crazy Taxi" game, and stuff like that. And the soundtracks are pretty good- it's like 20 hours of CD quality music.
Simpsons Hit and Run was supposed to be good as far as Simpsons games go, because the people that developed the software were actually Simpsons fans, unlike the previous ones when it was just a moneymaking machine. Not that this probably isn't, but still. And they have more characters in it and the levels are more intricate and stuff.

Hmmm, Jules, I haven't heard much about that one. What's it about? Is it good? I might have to check it out.
Oooh, my newest purchase is Freedom Fighters on PS2. Seriously, a really really good 3rd Person Shooter if you can get past the pro-American propaganda. Basically, the plot is like, this alternate history thing where the Soviets actually invent the H-Bomb first and win WWII, and slowly the world is all communist... except for the USA of course (). And so the story/game starts when Soviets invade New York, and you basically go around clobbering Russians with your monkey wrench (you're a plumber) and shooting them and rescuing civilians and stuff.
However, one REALLY cool thing about the game is that while you're a rebel, you can also command a team of up to 12 other freedom fighters. You recruit them and then you can deploy them to do certain strategic things, like defend areas or scout ahead or whatever. That's really cool, because I've never seen anything like that in a game, and it becomes really useful in the later levels when you need to have people taking out bridges and tanks and stuff.
So yeah, I really would recommend this one if anyone is interested in this sort of game. It's part gratuitous violence, and part strategy. And the scenes and graphics are really good as well.

That sounds similar to Rainbow Six, with the commanding of allies in strategic manners. I really wanted to play Raonbow Six, but I never bought it. Maybe I should get my hands on it (And ask you for all the tips Ko )
Julian, do you mean Unreal Tournament? UT2004?

Coooool. I saw that one and apparently there are also hidden mini-games if you have one of those EyeToy things for playstation. So yeah, that's pretty cool.
I've recently gotten my hands on an XBox. Those things are heavy! I've been playing Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow which is a really good espionage game. Like, you have to be stealthy and you have all these cool tools at your disposal and yeah. It's really good.

Matrix Online comes out November 2004. If you want to preorder it, there is the link. 2004. Hands up if you know what that means.
*Raises hand*
I'll be straight out of the exams and into the Matrix
As much as I'd like to see a Trapdoor crew, I know it's not likely to happen Anyway, I just wanted to let that out November, November.
*Dances*

What, if we know what "preorder" means?
*checks out link*
Hey, my birthday is in November... maybe I should see if I can get that put on my wishlist... ;D But I also want the extended DVDs of ROTK... I don't know what to do!! *flaps hands*
Hey, with MxO (Matrix Online, to everyone else ), is it like the video game in the sense that you have the matrix, but then you also have that hacking bit? Because that hack bit seriously drove me nuts in the PS2 game.

Get the RotK EE Ko. All that extra footage
Hoom hoom. I don't think you get to go in the "real world" in MxO. You're either jacked in, or you're offline. So no gallivanting through Zion
Hacking is an ability tree that you can specialise in, same with the soldier and spy tree. So, some people will be able to do the hacking thing if they build their skills in it.
I posted that preorder link before I read the whole thing Sorry
