Video games! I'm starting this room because I'm a bit of a gamer nerd myself and I'd like to discuss what games and consoles you like, hints, stuff like that.
Currently I'm playing Grand Theft Auto Vice City on my PS2. Basically, for those of you who don't know, you're a small time crook and you run around in Vice City and do missions for big crime bosses. Oh, and you can steal cars and motorbikes and boats and even helicopters on the way. The graphics are alright but it's little things, like water ripples and the rain (and sometimes blood!) on the camera that make it more realistic. It's a really cool game (albeit somewhat rather violent), and ironically it makes me a better driver.

I need to get some games for my PS2. All I've got is this crappy soccer game that I got free with it. Oh well. B'day is coming up soon. ;D
I've heard Kingdom Hearts is awesome, so I want to get that. It looks really good, adn people who've played it rave about it heaps. So I've decided it's gonna be on my must have list. It's a pain the way the games are so costly though.

I'm not much of a gamer, but there are a few that I like to watch or try playing. My favourite would have to be Fur Fighters for the Dreamcast. It's sorta a obscure game, and probably console, too. Anyone ever played it before?
Kingdom Hearts does look interesting, especially how they combined all those weird characters. But I still prefer the Final Fantasies better, especially FF7. I'm not good enough to play it, but I love watching others play. It has a very story line, music, and graphics.

I was thinking of starting a gaming thread. Why'd you beat me to it? *tantrum* Sadly, I don't have a PS2... I got a GBA though. I'm wondering if anyone was into Zelda games and had played A Link to the Past for super nintendo, 'cause I wanna get it for my GBA. But I can't get every game right... Sooo, I'm thiking about which is better, that or Yoshi's Island, tho personally I'd go for Zelda, I'm not the only who'd use it... ((ok, made no sense...)) Ele, soccer games for PS2 are cool! I keep playing 'em at Melissa's, and of course she always beats me 'cause she has one and I don't... Grand Theft Auto's cool, too.

does nobody but me have an x-box? X-box's are the coolest. what is wrong with the X-box?
I am renting this game called "Splinter cell" for those of you who don't know, the game is set in 2004. you are a secret agent who is working for CIA. and the whole point is to do the stuff the people tell you to... like listen to people talk, or steal files... oyu get guns but not to kill people with. to shoot out lights. you aren't supposed to shoot people. anyways i am stuck...
two technicians who i am supposed to save are protected by two wall mines. See they are in a corner and the two mines are on the two walls. (a wall mine is set off when you walk in front of it) so their beams are hitting each other... if you want to get one, you'll walk in front of the other one... how do i save the technicians? any help?

I've finished Zelda; What an awesome game! Shame the PS2 doesn't have a Zelda alternative But it does have DVD's! I got the whole BlackAdder series for Chrissie! Woop Woop!
On PS2, I bought LotR; Finished it in not too many days, but it was fun. Legolas shooting his little arrows everywhere
I'm into first person shooters, fantasy, adventure etc etc. My brother is into Topny Hawk; He has every single one
Anyways, I'll help you wil Zelda, if I can remember the part you need.

Hmm well im a gamer at heart, but i dont dig consoles that much. Although there are games i really like on xbox and ps2 i just couldnt justify getting a console for those games.
But Halo is ocmming to pc soonish. same with vice city. YAY!!!
Im currently playing Emperor: Battle for dune. quite a good game. I did enjoy soldier of fortune and i think the think that most impressed me and turned me off it the most was the fact that you could shoot people in abt 16 different places and most enemy soldiers would react differently.

Hooray for Vice City!! ;D shame about the tacky 80's crap though.
Beko gave me LOTR: The Two Towers for my birthday. It was really exciting because it came out before the movie did, so I got a "feel" of where the film was going. Oh, and there's all these movie add-ins like interviews with the people who did voices for the game, and stuff like that. It was really cool. And it would do this ace thing when it would skip from the film footage to the video game 3D (but somewhat boxy looking on the faces etc.) in this really cool morphy thing. but yeah, I finished it in 4 hours...
Tobias, I've heard of Splinter Cell but I haven't played it. If you want, go to www.gamefaqs.com and see if they've got a hint or walkthrough for your game.

The Two Towers was too quick; Did you get Isildur and the Secret Level?
The cinematic scenes were good, and most of the game was for the second movie So that was nice. Even though some of it didn't happen in the movie
The interviews were good as well. I remember Ian McKellen saying something like "I don't have the hand-eye co-ordination that all children under the age of 6 are naturally born with" to play the sample of the game But Orlando's hair; Bleugh
But it was fun while it lasted; Just don't buy it people. Renting it does just as well

Really? I saw LOTR in the shops, but I didn't buy it.
I bought some other game that looked pretty nice, and I managed to install it, but when I wanted to run it, it said something like 'You've got the wrong disk. Insert the correct disk and try again.' O.K, I know that the computer shop owners only gave me one disk, and I cleaned the CD already, yet it still gave me that same old message. Not surprising, since people here like to make some quick bucks by selling games..

Okay, the part I'm at is when he's at Great Bay Temple...I can't figure out how to turn the key thingy that's in the corner of the first room. It's too high up to just jump. I've looked and looked online for cheats and stuff and I just can't find dout how to get there, any help?

*Starts humming in thought - Um um. Um um* Start of Great Bay Temple eh? Methinks the high key is a key for later in the game. There is a key in the water; You turn that methinks, for the water fountain. I think the high key is for after you get the Ice Arrows, which is very late within the level. Turning the high key turns the current in the main room
*Um um* That should be all
