Just a little thread to chit chat about purcahses you've made, or ones you'd like to make in the near future.
I just went bezerk today at the mall. I went to Hot Topic, Software Etc, Borders, and Sam Goody. I have a little over $18 in my checking account. I so went overboard, but in a way... I deserved it for getting my job and what not. Mom wasn't too happy, but she got over it.

I went to the Weezer and Foo Fighters concert last night and spent a heap of money on overpriced merchandise and food. I had classes right until we had to leave here to go to the stadium and I was starving! Then I had to pay over three dollars for a stupid pretzel. I got a really cute Weezer shirt though and a Foo Fighters keyring (and I got one for a friend in Melbourne who is a really big FF fan). Now I have no money until my next paycheck.

The last thing I bought? Well I think it would be the books I'll be using this year and the next, and it was quite a sum too. They cost me something around $318.69. Quite an easy way to dish out money.

Yeah, school books are always really expensive! I spent so much money on my textbooks throughout my degree, because every semester it was like $300-$500 in books (law books are REALLY costly, and then after you buy them they aren't worth squat because the law gets revised ) Do they have a book co-op at your school Hermy? There's usually a place where you can get second hand textbooks from other students who have done that class and want to get rid of their books, and it's slightly cheaper than buying them brand new.

What's a book co-op exactly Ko?
Well yes, there were phone numbers on the notice boards of past students wishing to sell their books but the thing is this. We are given LM100 every year to buy school stuff and they're on a card. You use it like a normal debit card really. So if you buy the books from past students you can't really pay them with it, because they're not authorized to accept it. I'll be keeping a good number of my books after I finish, but I'll be selling a couple so at least I will get some of the money back.
I did buy 3 books second-hand, but the owner didn't have any more from those which I wanted, and I kind of resented going back because I later found that one of the books had writing in biro and highlighted, and I HATE that.

The last thing I bought for myself was a chocolate bar. It was really yummy.
The last thing I bought for someone else was the rare comic book I bought for Alex. He's a really big Warren Ellis fan and I saw a comic book of his in eBay that I knew Alex didn't have. So I bought it. It was amazingly cute seeing his eyes light up when he saw it. I didn't know it at the time, but it was a comic that been out of print for a few years now and is really hard to come by.

The last thing I bought for myself were a couple tacos and a lemonade at school. The tacos were excellent, and so was the lemonade. I hate coke and sodas so much. The last thing I bought for someone else was a chocolate bar for my friend. =) It was excellent, and I bought one for myself as well, and they were different, and we shared. =)

I'm sooooooooooooo horrible with money. I should not be allowed to possess money, I go crazy. That would explain why I'm broke.... I need a job.
The last thing I bought for myself.... I went shopping and bought shoes, a sweater, a hat, some pants...... I had lunch today, six dollars and I didn't even want that much food.
Let's see, the last thing I bought for someone else. I bought my sister a Frapachinno yesterday.

I bought myself a brand new phone yesterday! The Nokia 8800 It's really cool. It slides and takes pictures and video and does all sorts of things. I'm waiting for it to make me pancakes. And the day before I bought Alex two of the older Final Fantasy games, 7 and 8. He loves them so much.

Other than gas for my car, I think the last things I bought for myself were shirts from Randomshirts.com. And they actually arrived at my house only like four days after I ordered them. Coolness. The last things I bought for others were new tire irons for my brother and sister. We've had a couple of flat tire situations recently so I figured we should all be prepared. It's a jungle out there.

Hmmm. Last thing I got was a pumpkin carving saw thingy and a pumpkin. ;D I did this pumpkin up yesterday and my friend Dan came over and was like, "that is such a redneck looking pumpkin, it's squinty eyed, slack jawed and bucktoothed..." and I thought it was scary looking.

The last thing i bought...a $200 Quaker parrot. Yeeep, i did just buy a dove as well, but it wasn't working for me, he just wasn't as interactive as i'd hoped. So i bought this parrot. Named it Captain Jack, and am currently in the process of trying to teach it to speak like a pirate. I'll keep you updated. Last thing i bought for someone else...a movie ticket to see Saw II. It was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend it. but if you can't handle all that much gore and blood (like me ), be prepared to cover your eyes... a lot.
