Thanksgiving shopping. Hehe. ;D
I got a new pair of sneakers (because my old ones I brought here were getting really busted up by the cold and I got a new pair which were like 35% off or something, the newest Lemony Snicket book, some snow pants (so I can go boarding this winter or just for general snow shennanigans) and a pretzel (well, the pretzel was free, because my friend had a "buy one get one free" coupon but we split the cost).

Let's think... wow, the last thing I bought for myself was a smoothie on Tuesday! Living at home now seems like a smart idea.... I don't spend money!
I'm going shopping tomorrow though. I need jeans. I detest jean shopping.
On the other hand I made ten dollars and got a free egg roll....

this is going to be totally pointless, but the last thing i bought was one of those little plastic spray bottles. i misplaced the last one i had, and i needed something with which to bathe my bird. however, the last one was used by my dad to spray my cat whenever he'd scratch something. ugh.

I just got through buying Christmas presents for my friends at home. Since one is moving to Las Vegas (!!) and the other is moving to Richmond, and I live far away from them usually, I bought boxes, painted them and the decopaged (sp?) them with pictures of us growing up. I made one for my sister too since she's moving to New Jersey after New Years. Mmmm, being crafty is far too underrated. So, wooden boxes, paint, and modge podge.

Hehe a thought just came to mind. If I were to post in this thread everyday, I would probably say the last thing I bought was a bus ticket.
I need to continue doing Christmas shopping...*scrambles off to look for home ornamental stuff*

Let's see... The last thing I bought was a tee-shirt for my best friend. And before that, it was my boyfriend's Christmas/birthday present. I still need to finish Christmas shopping. I'm soo lazy this year! But I have more money than usual!

The last thing I bought(excluding this morning's bus ticket ) was a present for my mum.
Now, only one more spot of Christmas shopping left to do...

Hahahaha, what is Christmas shopping...? I've barely done any. I had to get about $80 in posh and therefore expensive chocolates for random generic people I'll be visiting over the holiday, and I got some martini glasses for my cousin and I still want to buy shoes for myself.

Is it bad if you do a lot of holiday shopping for yourself? I'm such a good consumer. A lot of my family and friends got homemade presents, and every time I went shopping or something I'd end up buying something for me for some reason. I got new shoes, earrings (since I lost a whole bunch of them this year in and around Western), and a new makeup brush (yes, impulse buy). I'm not doing boxing day sales this year, I think last year kind of frightened Dallas because we went shopping for like 2 days straight.

lol. you sound like a lot of fun to shop with most recent thing i bought for myself/others... well, i bought a mirror for my parrot's cage, 'cause everytime i let him out, he flies to my mirror and incessantly stares at it...*sigh* also bought him a new water thing-a-mah-bob deal-y.... er, then i kinda bought some more books for me...even though my To-Read list is already way too long. oy, i'm an obsessive compulsive when it comes to books...gotta have 'em all. but i bought classics, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Sense and Sensibility, and Pride and Prejudice...and others as well...but yeah. oy, i need more money. if i won the lottery, over half of my winnings would be to expand my library...and most of it spent at barnes and noble...when i know very well i can get the books for cheaper at half-price books. oy. shoot me.

I just ordered more Korean dvd goodness. This one's called Chinjeolhan Geumja-ssi, but it's english title is Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. It's by my favourite director, Park Chan-wook, so i'm really looking forward to getting it. It's not released until the 31st though, so it wont get here until, like, the 2nd of January.

I'm one of those people who can go without shopping for several months and then I have to do a hell of a lot of purchases in one go, and then I can just not shop for several months again...
Okay, here is a scary tally of my holiday purchases (excluding accomodation, tickets to touristy things, food and the like) from Toronto and New York: 1. Nice platform shoes with big heels 2. Earrings (3 pairs) 3. Olive green eyeshadow and brush 4. Souvenirs for random friends and family 5. Duty free alcohol 6. Ticket to see Spamalot on Broadway and one for Dallas as a gift because he loves Monty Python 7. Socks from "The Sock Man" 8. Copy of Gray's Anatomy as a present for myself and/or my dad if I can find a way to mail such a freaking heavy book to him 9. Chocolate brown eyeshadow from Macys (it was on sale)
...
I think that's all. I'm scared to think what else there was that I got. And besides, now I'm broke and have to teach 3 discussion sections this semester.

I didn't give into temptation during my holiday shopping! Hurrah...
Then there's today. I didn't buy much, just some dish towels, all purpose cleaning wipes, a toaster and a digital camera. That's when it all went downhill because you need a memory card, camera case, batteries, warranty and all that good stuff.
And I still need another text book...
Ah! And then I have two friends with upcoming birthdays and their presents needed to be mailed.... I'm going to go broke before the quarter is over....
