Awww...don't blush! You're really pretty!!! If you did get it, what would your mom do? My parents won't let my sister get her tongue pierced until she's out of the house. and if she comes back to visit, she has to take it out. even though she's 18 and legal, they don't like it and won't have it "under their roof." I don't like tongue piercings.

I'm actually don't like most body piercing. Only the nose, if it's a stud, everything else kind of creeps me out.
My dad says that only my ears should be pierced one hole in each ear. I find that funny for some reason.
*shrugs* I don't think they would do anything if I got anything pierced I mean what can they do? I don't get grounded, the worst would be no TV.
I mean punishments are a double ended sword. No car means they have to drive you to school, work, doctor etc. No cell means they can never get a hold of you and tell you to come home. No money means you run out of gas on the freeway or something like that. I've never had any of the above punishments imposed upon me though so I may be wrong. They could be like figure it yourself....

Li, that's so cool with the labret piercing thing! Now I want one! My mum will freak out, she thinks piercings are like a form of personal mutilation or something. Where do you get fake ones from? How do they work? Are they magnetic or something?
Hehe Sands, about the ear piercing thing, at my high school they had a school rule that you were only allowed to wear one pair of earrings, and they had to be either studs or sleepers. So I put two studs in one ear. Then the next year they changed the rule so that you could only have one pair of earrings, with one stud or sleeper in each ear. Hehehe.

that's crazy, ko! we've got the "ears can only be pierced once per ear" rule here, but no one cares about the school policies/rules. we're not supposed to have any other piercings other than ears, either, but that doesn't stop the pierced noses, bell buttons, etc. when will they learn--you can't impose rules on teenagers. my sister bought a magnetic tongue piercing.

Hmmm. Magnetic labret piercing I get, but your tongue? What if the magnet came off and you ate it? Actually I sort of want a tongue piercing, but I'm thinking that if I got one, then my tongue would swell up and whatever and if I got a speech impediment then that would be pretty bad for my law career... I think I'm growing out of that phase. Actually, besides a tongue piercing, there's not that many other piercings that I want. I think I have all of them. Now it's just tattoos...

Hey, back to that discussion we were having about the TB test. I got my done yesterday, and it was really weird, they used this really short needle and were like, injecting the TB stuff under my skin so there was a lump of TB stuff there. And today it's gone a bit red and patchy, I hope that means I don't actually develop the thing.

At the school I attended we had the same rule that you can only have one pair of earrings, one earring on each ear. Of course, most students had more than one, often enough you'd get students whose nose studs were thrown in the dustbin(very good way to waste your money). If you had a belly button stuff it wouldn't be much of a problem because it would be covered all year round by the school shirt.
What annoyed me once was how we got this new stupid teacher for PE because she taught dancing and had a dancing school and everything, and whenever she stretched you could see her belly button stud far too clearly. I don't like them personally, I hate anything which pierces the skin, but it was really annoying seeing her stretch there and you could tell she was pretty much showing off, when it isn't allowed. She's the teacher and she's supposed to give an example. Good thing she left halfway through the year.
About the TB test, that's what it's supposed to do Ko. Mine had got red and puffed up a bit and I was scared that I wouldn't be given the vaccine but I took it the next day. It's been like 3 years now. My my, time does fly...
Being one who usually hates does kinds of piercings, I'd say it really looks good on you Lina. Sometimes you get these really big balls for studs which are worn because they are much more visible but normally end up making the face look really horrid. But I'd say if you got one like that, it would look just fine on you.

well, i guess its not really a magnetic piercing...its more of a suction one. like, ou suck on it and it sticks to your tongue and then you move it to where you want it. it's actually a pretty neat concept...too bad i dont like tongue piercings. eek...and no one said anything to the principal?

Just to revive this thread... I got my 10th piercing on Thursday and I thought I'd share that with everyone! As you know I can't really get facial piercings because a lot of law firms don't like that stuff, so I got my tongue frenum pierced. Your tongue frenum is that little webby bit of gummy stuff that's under your tongue, and now I have a cute little ring through it. You can't really see it unless I lift up my tonuge, so it's not obvious like a tongue piercing. As per tradition with my other piercings, I got a silver ring with a hematite bead on the end. It didn't hurt at all. In fact, it was probably the most painless piercing I've had, because the gummy stuff is so thin and it only takes a second to stick a needle through it. And I've been able to talk and eat and everything properly since then too because it heals really quickly (I got told officially it takes 6 weeks, but typically it will be done in 2). So yeah. I've put a picture up in the Photo Album over in the secret room if you want to see what it looks like. I love it!

HI. I'm new and this is the first thing I saw. I have my tongue pierced. It didn't hurt at all. My parents were a little upset at first but then they got over it. I have a tattoo on my foot of a cluster of stars.

Yay, a fellow tattoo and piercing fan! And welcome to TrapDoor and all that as well.
Ooh, when you got your tongue pierced did you get the anasthetic on it first? I had a friend that had anasthetic or something (it was in the form of a spray) and it was to numb your tongue and everything, and he ended up drooling over himself. I didn't have anything like that with the tongue frenum, because it's so thin there aren't that many nerves and the piercing is much quicker than a tongue one.
Any pictures of the tattoo?
