The Yellow Smiley Face; moira's room

It's just another ordinary day filled with the same ordinary schedule; classes to attend, homework to get done, the lunch you didn't get to eat because your next class was at the opposite end of the castle, and of course, the ordinary routine of escaping the cluthces of Snape and getting yourself into some sort of trouble

Such a busy day you always seem to lead, and it would be nice for once to find a place to sit down and rest with fellow house members and friends, and talk about the good (or the bad) things that are going on in your life. A sort of sanctuary that you can feel at peace. A place where you can feel better about yourself.

As you wonder around the Hufflepuff Common room, what you swore was just an ordinary door yesterday has turned into a round Hobbit-like door. It is colored a bright yellow, with a smiley face painted on it. In the center of the door is a black doorknob, which looks like the nose of the smiley face. You open it, and step into a room full of many shades of yellow, and...smiley faces.

The carpet is a soft pastel yellow. So are the curtains. You notice there are several places to sit or lay down. A golden couch forming an arch, and two single body lazy-boys center around the arched couch - upon closer observation, you see that the pieces of furniture combine to symbolize a smiley face. You see tables that form the same pattern. Smiley face beanbags dot the room, and you see smiley face cubboards that house smiley face mugs and plates and other utensils.

The excessive use of smiley face symbols seems a bit overwhelming, but in spite of yourself, you find that you've broken out in a huge grin. For some reason, this place just makes you feel at home. You feel cozy inside.

You've finally found a place to rest. To smile, laugh, sigh, cry, whatever makes you feel comfortable.

This is the smiley face room. And you are most welcome:)

*Seeing that the room is empty but dotted with numerous smiley faces, she grins and enters and takes a seat on the beanbag, waiting for others to enter*

Hey, Neko. ;D *creeps in* Whoa, who's room? Think it might be Moira's? *laughs* Wonder where she's gone...oh well. Budge over, would you, love? *crashes most ungracefully on the beanbag next to Koko*

*peeps her head inside, seeing a room full of lovely smiley faces and yellow*

*carrying an armful of yellow smiley face pillows* Why hello Ko, Buns, and Herm! Yay, I've got visitors! You like what I've done to the place? I hope it's not too overbearing...*shrugs and tosses each one a pillow* A complimentary pillow to each of you for coming! Each person who comes in gets one ;D There's a bed over here that's chalked full of them. I've charmed it so it never runs out of pillows if one is taken, hehe:) A bed can be nice for *cough*pillowfights*cough*, you know?

Ooh, and check this out. The smiley face pillows can change colors on command! *Demonstrates, by holding the pillow in her hands up to her mouth* Turn red, please! *Starting from the center and working outward, the pillow turns red*

Neat, huh? I've been spending weeks creating the right charm that worked.

So how have you all been?

ooc: sorry, tried to make the colors change, but I must be doing something wrong with the codes, cause I couldn't get any shade of red to show up for the pillow.

*she turns to Fan (who has ungracefully almost shoved her off the beanbag) and bops her over the head several times with it*

heh, nah, I think a little bit of color will upset yellow very much More like it might balance it out

Hey, I've got a joke I want to share with you guys. Don't know if you've heard it yet or not, but *shrugs* I felt like telling it:)

A bus carrying only ugly people crashes into an oncoming truck, and
everyone inside dies.

They then get to meet their maker, and because of the grief they have
experienced; he decides to grant them one wish each, before they enter
Paradise.

They're all lined up, and God asks the first one what the wish is. "I
want to be gorgeous," and so God snaps His fingers, and it is done. The
second one in line hears this and says "I want to be gorgeous too."
Another snap of His fingers and the wish is granted.

This goes on for a while, but when God is halfway down the line, the
last
guy in the line starts laughing. When there are only ten people left,
this guy is rolling on the floor, laughing his head off.

Finally, God reaches this last guy and asks him what his wish will be.
The guy eventually calms down and says:

"Make 'em all ugly again."

I thought it was humorous:) Oh! I almost forgot to show you this stuff I bought for my room...*Opens her closet and rummages through it. A tinkle of aluminum is heard, and moira emerges, shooting yellow foam string, hitting Ko in the arm, Fan in the face ( ;D) and Herm on the shoulder (in my room, I think I'm allowed to be a good aim )

It's string in a can!

*laughs at Moira's joke, but then has to dive out of the way, behind the bed, to try and escape from Moira's fiery aim! Takes off soem of the string stuff from her shoulder*

*and manages to turn it into some kind of ball. Then looks up from the edge of the bed, and sees Moira is just above her, and throws the ball at her,(not in the face, NEVER!) and swooshes away*

[glow=0000CC,2,300]*pushes the goor open, and looks around, realising shes a perfect aim for a party popper (type thing) attack, so remains quiet hoping no one notices* [/glow]

[Fantasia]

Well, excuse me. *mumbles something about friends, and how they don't hit each other over the head. she is just about to smile and move on, when she gets a mouth full of silly string. pulling the stuff off her face, she seems rather annoyed* Yeesh, you guys! What's with attacks? *sniffs and moves over onto her own beanbag, so as not to disturb anyone*

*sees Fantan slomping down in one corner of the room, and staying there*
Nooo!! A Huff can't stay out of this without kicking hufflebutt!

*tries to think of a way to get her moving. Then picks up the pillow Moira gave her, and throws it at Fan*

Aw, Fan, hun, I'm sorry. I don't mean to make you feel unwelcome. I've never really had a string-in-a-can or pillow party, and I thought it would be fun. Only in jest, you know. *tosses her a can of silly string* Here, it's not fair if I'm the only one with all the ammo. *is about to toss one to Herm when a ball of the sticky string hits her on the shoulder of her robes...and sticks * Argh!! *feigns being wounded until she hears Emma speak up* Hey Emma, welcome to my room! Grab a complimentary pillow off the bed, and join in! *tosses her a can of silly string, and one to Ko, and yes, also Herm* I have a feeling I'm going to regret this, lol.
