Hmmm, I thought MMM was just a Melbourne Station, but maybe that's because it's based here. Yay for spreading the music! I also like JJJ, they covered Big Day Out today, which was pretty cool. The Cage cracks me up- I usually have it on in the car on the way to uni during semesters.
And you're not going to win the 200 Freq'n grand if I can help it! I'm going to! ;D
*grins* Herm, well, I was serious in a sense because that's how infatuated I was with them but no, we were not going to really get married because they hadn't been to Australia for ages. But that didn't stop me from planning our wedding. Yes. I am aware that I am messed up.

Lately I've been using Yahoo to listen to music. Call me stupid as much as you like but I only realised you can have a personalised station uptil a month ago. But I find it cool. You listen to the music you like best!!!
Oh I see. Guess everybody's good at doing that. ;D Who would you want to plan with Rubes?

Hah! I used to love Silverchair...but I haven't listened to them in a bit. I also used to love the Offspring, pre-Americana...more of a Smash fan myself. This is going back a few posts...about country. I think country music is an aquired taste. I grew up on some of the older country bands so I can handle it, it just isn't quite my thing. Although I like blue grass more than I like regular country, probably since my relative was in a blue grass band we always had to listen to his records with the old lady down the street who loved his group ...I wonder if we still have the records...hmm....

Yeah, they are. The cage, the cage, the cage cage cage...
I think we do get the same freq words. Well, we'd have to if everything else is the same and they broadcast the freq words on the radio. I just hate how everything has to be SMSed to register for stuff, that annoys me because I don't want people having my mobile number to send me junk SMSes.

I don't like RHCP that much, I think they're sort of repeating themselves. I mean, not sort of, they are repeating themselves, their sound isn't inovating on any term, it always sounds the same. I'm not saying they're bad, they aren't. Their songs are nice to hear when you're in a good-mood or whatever, I used to like Slide a lot but nowadays, with that Fortune Faded one, I thought that maybe they'd improve their sound, but no. It still sounds the same. Which is good at one point, they already established some mark, something that when we hear on the radio we think "this is Red Hot", but at the same time, it's a pity. And that song "Aeroplane"...
Placebo and Silverchair are great though. I won't comment on Placebo or else we wouldn't get out of here today, but Silverchair ... a lot of people's been saying that their latest album, " Diorama", pretty much sucks. That isn't my opinion. I think it's even one to applaud, because they've inovated ((here we go with the inovation issue again)). They married their rock riffs with orchestrations and the result is just huge. I think. It all started on "Neon Ballroom" and I didn't hear anyone complain about it. I mean, "Emotion Sickness" is one of the best songs out there and it's got orchestras. I don't know why everyone decided to go and pick on them now just because they decided to make some changes to their standard sound. And " Diorama" is pretty amazing, I mean, I simply love "Tuna In The Brine". Okay, it's not as good as classics from "Neon Ballroom" ((probably my favourite album from Silverchair)) such as "Paint Pastel Princess" or "Black Tangled Heart" but it's still pretty awesome. If you don't know it, Rubes, I'll try and burn it for you, I don't know if its copy controlled. I can't burn "Neon Ballroom" though... I lost it when I had that car crash.
Oh, Rubes, still on Placebo... look what I found :
lol.
Anyway, about me, a friend of mine started me on Ashram. I still can't describe them yet, but they're just beautiful. The songs, that is, I haven't seen them yet. Really quiet and melodical and beautiful... I'm really liking it.
Another thing that I'm starting to hear is Jeff Buckley. And I'm also in love. My computer is being quite stupid regarding downloading and transfers and stuff like that so I only know "Grace" (the song), that was the only one MSN allowed my friend Joao to send me. But this guy from the Placebo forum is sending me the album, and Joao is burning me one of the live ones. His voice was just great, and I still have to take a look on the lyrics, but something tells me I'm gonna get hooked on this.

Quick! Put that cigarette out! You know I can always use new CD's
Sending Freq'n words through the SMS doesn't seem to work for me But putting them in the computer does, so yay! I'll share some of my $200 000 with you when I win

I'll share some of my $200 000 with you when I win You could save them to you know what.
I wish radio stations here gave us $200 000 and good music, but I regret to tell you that I've given up on radio and now tottaly depend on CDs. We have only two worth listenable radio stations here, Antena 3 and Radar. The thing about Antena 3 though is that it has lots of national music and I hate it, and it has every type of music except pop, so I have to deal with a lot of hip-hop crap. They seem to like Placebo though, so once in a while I have the pleasure of hearing "Special Needs"... and they put Ryan Adams a lot too, so that's good. I don't know much about Radar because it's new and its frequency is kinda bad here, it's full of interferences... but a friend of mine told me they had Muses's Endlessly on the other day, which isn't a single at all, so that's got to be a good sign. I have to check it.
Just tell me what you want Rubes and I'll do my best.

I also really like Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes, Coldplay..... Coldplay rox! normally im not a fan of boy bands, but coldplay and the bnl are the only exceptions. other than that, i like scattered things....sum songs of michelle branch, sum songs of the dixie chicks (key word: SOME) and very few rap songs, tho a couple are alright. The Doors are like my only favourite old band, and the cranberries are good.

*almost spits apple and strawberry juice all over her screen* What? Coldplay is now a boy band? Er, question, Sparksy, but how do you define a boy band?
Oooh, Soupy, you know what, RnB is quite good to dance to because it has a more defined beat than rock... but yeah, if you want to dance, put on some deep house music. Yeah. That's the stuff. If anyone has heard of the Ministry of Sound stuff, it's good for people who aren't into hardcore dance music.
