What do you think of the Simpsons? Has it iconised what cartoons should be? Or is it just a load of yellow cartoon crapola that should have been axed ten years ago? How come the word "D'oh!" made it into the dictionary? Who's your fave or most hated character? What's your fave or most hated episode? Come on, with 14 seasons of the Simpsons out there, there has to be something out there worth talking about!
(Personally, I've seen every single episode of the Simpsons that has come out, so I thought I'd start this thread. )

*laughs* Coolness Ko, I love the Simpsons. You know the word d'oh does get used alot. I've heard many people use it and I think it may have been in one of the horrible books I was reading, I don't remember which one.

*grins* I remember Beavis and Butthead. But then, they got killed off, didn't they?
Why didn't you like the Simpsons, Guin? what made B&B better, in your opinion?
Chris, they put d'oh in a book?! Like, a non-simpsons book?!

Can*t say--I just didn*t care for the Simpsons--but Beavis and Butthead made me laugh out loud. They were such idiots. I also like (liked) JACKASS on MTV--that, too, makes me laugh.

Holy mackeral. The Simpsons are great. My favourite character is Grounds-keeper Willie. He's hilarious. The episode where Santa's Little Helper gets lost, Bart asks Willie if he knows where the dog is. Grounds-keeper Willie says, "I 'ate 'im! And I 'ate the crap he left in my front yard!" He said "hate" but it sounds like "ate".... I was laughing for like 10 minutes... ;D I also like Cleetus the Slack-jawed yokel, but that's because he reminds me of...my cousin. *cough*BUBBA*cough* "Come sit in my lap, baby cuzin!" Oh, I hate him! He's from Arkansas and he's 17 and he always hits on me! It's dreadful.

Dreadful, eh? ;D
I love the Simpsons. Love it. I think it's hilarious.
Oh lordy, I miss Beavis and Butthead. Oh! But today in class I got a little reminder. I'm not even joking about this.
Teacher: Napoleon set up a dictatorship... Kid Behind Me: (to friend) Dude, she said "Dick" (Kid and Friend crack up)
I'm easily amused by people who are easily amused.

Beavis and Butthead are my role-models. Okay, I'm lying, but oh well. Gabi- think people in YOUR class are stupid? The guys in my class were talking about circumcision. For an hour today. "Dude, what if they sneezed while they were doing it and slipped and cut too much off?" Now that's a little too much, don't you think? Ugh.

*grins* Toilet humor can be surprisingly amusing. ;D
Hey Smek, (I'm going to call you that because it's cool!! ;D) how cool is Groundskeeper Willie?! I love the one when Santa's little helper goes AWOL in their school and Willie goes up to Lunchlady Doris and asks "Eh, you got any grease?" and when she answers in the affirmative he strips off and yells "Well, grease me up, woman!!"
Heh. ;D

No, I'm not amused by toliet humour at all. No, I don't crack up whenever someone says 'fart'. No, not at all.
Yeah, okay, Groundskeeper Willie is cool. My favourite quote would have to be when Bart gets lice and he throws his clothes in the incinerater- "See you in hell, ya little buggers!" No clue why that's so amusing.
Neko, just call her Smelly. It fits her perfectly. ;D

Gabi- ::put on a Groundskeeper Willie/ Hagrid type voice:: Shut yer hole, yeh silly prat! I'm not as smelly as yeh'd think! I actually bathed today! hehe!
Neko- Yay! Call me Smek! G.K.W. is by far the coolest Scottish groundskeeper ever!
::takes on a very stern tone and tries to keep a straight face::I don't like toilet humor either. I think it is outrageously stupid. I have never made fart noises in a library, and I have never yelled "poop" in a public place. Never. I would be ashamed if one of my colleagues did. ::eyes Gabi, and then cracks up:: ;D

Gabs, I'm going to call her Smek. So there. *pokes tongue out at Gabs*
Heh, at my school our headmaster was Scottish, and despite having lived in Australia for about 20 years, he still had this mega Scottish accent, and yeah. He wasn't all angry and crazy like GKW but he did talk like him! It was funny. You'd say "Hi" and he'd be like "Hulloo, how are yeh?" and stuff. ;D
As for the Simpson family, I'd have to say my faves are conjunctively Bart and Lisa. On their own, they're not as amusing as they used to be, but when you put them together... heh. Marge reminds me too much of my own mum (well, without the prison record, strapless green dresses, blue hair and gambling problem) and Homer... well, yeah. He's the funniest by far though.

I like Mr. Burns, too. "I come in peace..." ::presses fingertips together and raises one eybrow:: Excellent....
Aahaha. I'm a loser. Oh well.
