::laughs hysterically:: Mr. Burns: It says, "You will find true love on Flag Day...Smithers, today is Flag Day!" Smithers: (suggestively) But sir, we're the only ones here...
Oh, that's just too funny.

Can anyone tell me what's the point in "The Simpsons"? The point of a bunch of yellow creatures mocking everything? Really, and people talk about Eminem. (though I don't like him it's just an example)

The Simpsons is supposed to be a spoof on real people's lives in a familiy I guess. Its mad funny though.

I don't think there really is a point, but apaprently they are doing a parody on real life issues. Like pollution. And corporate ethics. And family values (or lack thereof). I think I read that somewhere, maybe on the official simpsons website or something.
Hey, I said "apparently", didn't I?!
P.S. Does anyone else find DuffMan a complete crackup?!

I really don*t care for the Simpsons, but support your right (?) to watch it. It seems a sort of cartoon of Roseanne--does anyone remember that show? I didn*t like that show at all as people seemed to think it represented the typical American family...what an insult. And speaking of families....my daughter insisted I watch Ozzie Osborne the other night...what was that? I don*t think I*ve ever forgiven him for dropping his drawers and peeing on the Alamo.....

owwwww my neck ow ow ow sharp pains.
Okay, I think that the Simpsons is just as worthwhile as any of those other sitcoms. It's hilarious and it's been around for such a long time. After watching it for a while, you feel like you know the character, and you start to relate them to people you know IRL. Sort of like....Gabi and Ralph Wiggum. They remind me a lot of each other..... Hah, I'm joking...or am I? Hmm, well they both pick their nose, they both do stupid things like gluing their head to a desk (I could just imagine Gabi doing that!)... they both have cats whose breath smells like cat food... Wow, they are a lot alike! Hehe! ;D

I am NOT like Ralph Wiggum! But my cat's breath does smell like cat food... I didn't like Roseanne. She has a voice that makes me want to scratch myself. I LOVE THE OBSOURNES!! I don't care what anyone says, that's one of the best shows on. You can't get any better than "I'm not picking up another turd, I'm a rock star." or "Not only am I a rock star, I'm a *censored*ing gravy-maker extrodinare!" and another classic, "Don't do drugs. Look at what happened to me." And I love the way Kelly dresses. *sigh* And her cover of "Papa Don't Preach" is WAY better than the original.

eh... i never liked rosanne... her voice was really annoying to me... and the osbourne's... it is kinda funny... but it's kinda wak, too... "i'm the prince of *censored*ing darness, and you give me bubbles?" lol anyway... yeah... the simpsons are really cool...
i like comparing them to people in real life... kinda in extremes, you know? it's a sarcastic sort of humor, and i like it... almost as much as dry, british humor...

YAY for British humor! Gabi and I watched "AbFab" and "Gimme Gimme Gimme" today! YAY! Those shows are so great. My mom will watch about 5 minutes, and then she'll say something like "This isn't even funny, why are you laughing?" It makes me so mad! She doesn't even get it! ARGH.
I used to wish they'd make a series out of Itchy & Scratchy, but now I think it would die out pretty fast. The little things on the show are funny though, like the one where Itchy and Scratchy are Amish..yeah....
ACK! Roseanne annoys me to no end! But I used to watch the show because her daughter (the dark-curly-haired one, I think Darlene??) was cool. But then again, I was only like 7, so maybe she isn't as cool as I thought she was...

The Osbournes just started here in Australia. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I will.
Hey, if Gabs is Ralph Wiggum, who does that make you, Brit? ;D
I wish they'd make an I&C mini-series, that would be cool. I don't know how the people who grade the censor things are going to deal with it.

Neko- Hmm, I don't know. Wait! I could be his cat! My breath does smell like cat food, after all. ;D You know, because I eat so much cat food... No, in all actuality, I think that I am more like Raplh Wiggum. Wouldn't you say so, Gabi? Yeah, if they made an I&S series, it would be on very late at night, because it's very violent... It might have to be on a cable network... It would be funny though, a sort of...Tom & Jerry, when they forget to go to their Anger Management session.

No, you'd be Wigglepuppy, the invisible flying dog!
"Boy, that dog has had some amazing adventures!" -Chief Wiggum
I'm very disappointed in you for not saying that, Brit. Very disappointed.
Yay for Neko watching the Osbournes. Hehe, if you want to see how Brit and I act IRL, just take a look at Jack and Kelly.

ARGH! I can't believe I didn't think of that! ::hits herself, then realizes that she's being like Dobby and needs to stop because Dobby is the HP equivalent of Jar-Jar Binks and that's bad:: WIGGLEPUPPY! Hah! ;D That makes me happy! Yeah, I'm Jack and Gabi is Kelly (saying as I am definitely more immature than Gabi is). Me in my G.I. Joe costume and pellet gun, shooting at Gabi while she curses at me. Yep, that's pretty much how it goes. Sad thing is, I'm not joking. "Stick!" "Dick!" "Stick!" "DICK! YOU SAID DICK, KELLY!"
