Haha! We have Dancing with the Stars here as well! I think we're in our second season; the problem I have with the show is that a lot of the celebrities that go on it (usually soap stars or something) have already had some kind of previous dancing experience, so yeah. It's really fun to watch though, but I don't think ours is voted by the audience.

Oh! I thought it was only called "Dancing with the Stars" in the US. Hehe, cool. Too bad you guys can't vote, though. I'm glad we can, because those judges... *shakes head*
One of the lady celebs right now is a soap star, too. I thought she was pretty good, but she's not my favourite.

The grand finale of "Dancing with the Stars" just finished and I. Am. Upset. The voting and the judges, basically everything ABC had control over, was completely corrupt and fixed. That soap star I mentioned in the previous post won only because of her soap fans, while the guy who deserved to win (and most people who know anything about dancing or sophistication seem to agree) was elegant and classy and an amazing performer. A class act.
Oh, I am so pissed.
I know no one else watches the show, but I just had to get that out.

Ack, Sphi. I know what you mean. I hate reality TV shows where there's clearly a criteria (such as being a good performer or whatever) but people are stupid and vote for who they like, not for who necessarily deserves the prize. Stuff like that is a popularity contest, really. So yeah, most people are stupid and don't think properly before they vote. Bummer that you're pissed off about it.
Hey, out of curiosity, what's the name of the guy you thought deserved to win?

John O'Hurley. If you've ever watched "Seinfeld," he was J. Peterman. What a hilarious, talented guy.
But seriously, it seems so obviously rigged. The girl who won (Kelly) is a soap star on the same station that shows "Dancing with the Stars." ABC must've planned to have her win (in tired underdog fashion) so that they wouldn't upset their soap viewers. Plus, many of her fans admit to voting, like, twenty times each week. I think the reason I'm so upset is because I really love Ballroom dancing myself, and to see such an unfair conclusion to what could've been a great program, that bothers me.
