What's the point in friends?

Note from Chris: Hello! Well guess what! I wrote a story! Yay! *much cheering and rejoicing* Yeppers I wrote a story. It's a little on the dark side and since this is TD I had to censor it a little. *frowns* Oh come on! I'm Chris, the bi boy of Slytherin! Anyway, I'm in it and so are a few of my friends... well all of my friends who I won't mention cuz there are way to many. Also the original Harry Potter people (who I don't own) are in here, mainly Draco, Pansy, and Snape. The rest are Gryffs so I didn't need too many of them. Well enjoy!  

Chapter One: Train Ride

Chris stared blankly at Pansy and her parents as they said goodbye. He never cared to be a part of the family and they never cared much to include him. All in all life with his foster family was less than stellar. Pansy's father glared down at him and walked away, while Pansy's mother bent down to give him a scolding. "Now remember what we told you. Be good to your sister, listen to your teachers, and stay out of trouble. Here." she said handing him a piece of paper. "When you meet Lucius Malfoy's son say this. Memorize it Chris!" She left before he could ask her anymore questions on the matter. Pansy shoved him out of her way and climbed aboard the Hogwarts train. "I don't see why you get to befriend Draco Malfoy. You're not even a real part of this family." she sneered. "Maybe Draco has no patience for pug-faced whiny little girls." Chris replied with a shrug. Pansy whirled around to call her parents on him, but they had already left. Chris sniffed the air disdainfuly and pushed her aside, walking into the cabi they were to share.

I forgot to mention this before, but I stole some parts of this story from a story roo is writting in Glenmore. If I remembered the name she and gen went by this would go alot smoother, but ya know. Anyways, I dedicate this story to all the glenmorians out there.

A few minutes into the train ride Pansy became too much of an annoyance for Chris to handle. He glared at her once more before he opened the door to the cabin and walked out. He sighed to himself and walked down the train, looking into cabins that had their doors open from time to time. Up ahead, something caught his attention. A group of boys were gathered in a group, asking questions and staring in astonishment at what appeared to be a box. As it always does, curiosity got the best of Chris and he crept up towards them. "What's in there?" he asked unenthusiasticaly. "Do you want to see?" a boy named Lee Jordan asked smiling. Chris nodded and carefully lifted the lid of the box. He peeked inside and saw the one thing he hated more than Pansy. "sp-sp-SPIDER!" Chris yelled, dropping the box lid and running. Lee Jordan watched Chris run and blinked. "What's with him?" he asked the blond boy standing next to him. "I don't know."

When one is overtaken by fear a few things happen, first you're filled with a sudden surge of adrenaline, this is what enables people to do incredible feats, like lifting a car off of a baby, finally many of your brain's functions are shut down. This momentary shut down of the higher brain makes it possible for one to go back to their basic animalistic instincts. All people, no matter how well educated, when scared will revert to their basic instincts for survival, Chris Valentine was no exception. As he ran down the trains compartments very little ran through his head, except for the need to get to safety. He came upon his sanctuary a few cars bac from where he encountered Lee jordan and his tarantula. The door to this cabin was closed and it seemed far enough away from the spider to be considered safe. Without knocking or thinking much of anything Chris pulled the door open and hurried in. he pulled the door closed behind him and crammed himself in a space between the window and something else. Only now had Chris' brain resumed normal functioning. He looked up and saw to his embarassment two girls about his age staring at him. In fact, he was sitting next to one of the girls, crammed between her and a window. He took a few breaths to calm himself before he spoke. "Hello."

the only constructive criticism i have to offer is this: you sometimes make errors when it comes to tense-agreement, so in some spots it doesn't flow as well. but other than that--simply marvelous! ;D[/glow]

tense-agreement! That *bleeppitybleep* tense-agreement! I'm never able to get that right! those two chicks are gen and roo. Don't worry Leia, you're in it! *smiles* I just forget Gen and roo's names at the moment. so when I write more it'll be a little weird and their names may change. *writes note* Find out names and watch for tense-agreement, also find wat to edit that highly important yet completely controversial kiss. *rolls eyes* I didn't write that! Roo did, it was nice and I'll be *bleep* if it don't appear in my story too.

Yep! I just meant it was controversial in this setting with it's younger people. You never know what the headmasters won't allow as far as preference goes. *sighs*

*snickers* Yeah, it was. okay then the kiss stays as is. Any other people want to have a controversial scene? I'm all up for writting the forbidden.

*Cries* Gen, Roo! I forgot your names! Gomen nasai, gomen nasai! I'll just have to go back and modify this chapter later.

The two girls stared at him for awhile longer before they decided to introduce themselves. Chris was a it scared, the last thing he wanted was for the girls to ask him why he had run into their cabin. The girls named Ruadh, had begun to ask him questions and talk about Hogwarts, but her sister stared right at Chris. ~Oh no...I think I know what's coming next.~ Chris thought to himself. Gen smiled, "So Chris, what were you running from?" Chris took a few deep breathes and thought about whether or not to reply. He sighed and gave in. "Well, you know that kid, Lee Jordan?" he began. "Uh huh.." Gen said, waiting for him to continue. "Well there were a group of kids standing around him. I went up there to see what was going on and he was holding a box. Well I opened the lid to look inside and.." Chris looked up, something else seemed to have Gen's attention for the moment. He smiled to himself, figuring that was the perfect time to try and throw her off. "And that's what happened." he said proudly. "What?! That's it?!" she demanded. Obviously she had been listening and now she felt a bit cheated. He sighed and surrendered the information he was currently with holding. "There was a spider in that box." "and?" she asked. "And that's it. That's what hapened." he said honestly. "So?" Gen asked. "Nothing, spiders are just scary.." Chris said. The two girls stared at him for minute longer and Chris blushed. ~I don't think I'm off to a good start. Now they'll think I'm a duffer. I better leave before anything else happens.~ he thought as he stood. "I have to get back to my cabin, now. Sorry about the intrusion." he said quietly and walked out of their cabin. He hoped the rest of train ride would be much smoother.

[shadow=red,left,300]lol. i didnt like snakes at all when i was younger. but in 7th grade my science teachers room was FILLED with them. he practically had to drag me into class everyday. so once when i was writing notes and was oblivious to the world around me he came up behind me and put the biggest snake (i think it was a boa) named Peanut on my neck. i dont think i realized it till his face was in front of mine. and i jumped a little but didnt want to scare him and have him like choke me or something. that got me over my fear. and then i started to take care of Peanut...like i would clean his cage n stuff after school. but im still afraid of asps-thoes r the yellow 1's with red eyes. i was bit by one named cleopatra lol. i'm terrified of snakes. I used to run straight through the reptile house in the zoo during field trips cuz I was so scared. In one of the malls there's a store that sells snakes, well the lady was standing outside with this huge boa named bananas. My cousin and I saw the snake and ran to the other end of the hall, trying not to look at the lady cuz it was her job to walk up to you with the snake and try to get you to hold it.

[shadow=red,left,300]lol thats nuts. i used 2 run through the reptile houses too. not only cuz of the snakes but cuz of the spiders (taranchulas sp?) and cuz the smell got me sick. but im used to it now. i had to deal with that smell all through 7th grade. my science teacher had everything!rats mice snakes frogs lizzards anoles fish hampsters gerbils (nast lil things) and he owns a farm so he has a heck of a lot more, including horses. i go there all the time to ride.u know whats scarry? on my 6th grade class trip we went to an aquarium and they had a dolphin show there. well i always wanted to be a person to go up and feed them ever since i saw someone do that at sea world. so they let me and they gave me these big ol' ugly boots to put on. my whole 6th grade class cheered me on watching me on thoes really big tv screens. and when i got up there it was slippery. i looked down into the water then they said be careful or else you could end up at the bottom of that. then i looked at the dolphins teeth. i freaked out and did what i was supposed 2 do as fast as possible then ran off the stage. it was hella funny.[/shadow]
