Nay, my fair lady; for thou art my guest.
Save thy coins a little while; we have seen but one stall at this faire, and shouldst thou spot a trinket to thy liking later, thou mightst have need of them
*moves past a stall absolutely crammed with Persian rugs*

*smiles* I shall relent, Nialle, although it weighs heavily upon my concience. *stops briefly to give a clydsedale mare a pat and a sugar cube from her pocket, then catches up with her company*

*reaches a cart where a singluarly round man sits among a variety of jugs, quietly reading a leather-bound book*
Ho, Friar... readst thou the lives of the saints?FRIAR: *jumping, then sees En* Ahaha, my sylph, I do read lives, of very fair folk... *sees Lady Fanta* uhh, very fair and saintly indeed. *chuckles* Fear thou not my friend, good Friar. This is the Lady Fanta, and she is aware of the... variety of your trade
Milady, the good Friar Blay.

ooc: *is reduced to snorting for air* ;DFRIAR: *clearing throat* In truth, Lady Fanta, it is four tonics I prepare. One to protect thy soul *makes sign of cross very solemnly*.... *leans in and whispers* One to lighten thy step, one to make thee laugh, and one... for the inevitable judgment come matins. Well, my good friar, 'tis yet but noon; so unless my Lady wishes to take stock against the evening, we may perhaps wish only to offer thee greeting
ooc: Now don't make me go all Headmastery and strongly discourage student imbibement

*waits til Tasia has moved on, then quietly passes a small silver flask to the Friar* My customary fortification, if you would, my brother.
*the Friar pours an amber liquid from a small pot, corks the pot again, and passes the flask back; En gives him a sickle*
*skipping up to meet Tasia*
Now, my fine lady, what wouldst thou find at our faire? Thou likest horses, I observed

*gets pulled along with surpising force, considering s/he's not exactly tiny hirself* My lady... I am sure *gasp* that Eohippe *gasp* won't retire *gasp* before tea *gasp*
*skids to a halt at the edge of the paddock, where a brightly coloured pavilion shines in the midafternoon sun*
*gasps for another second*
*says, very much out of Renaissance character* Good grief, Tasia, either you're about four times as strong as you look or your dress is made out of osmium to get that kind of momentum going *bends down and braces hands on knees* I'm not in bad shape, for 413, but be gentle on the old person, hey?
*recovering* Ah-hem. *stands up straight and moves to the door of the pavilion, pulling a little rope to ring a surprisingly large copper bell* Madame? Vous etes la?

ooc: I'm just assuming that, but maybe I shouldn't I'm about 5'10". Watch, you'll be like 6'.
*calls into the tent* Madame? Mon amie veut bavarder un peu -- elle aime bien des chevaux, vous savez -- Madame?

*glances nervously at the door* Um...my good jester, i might give you warning. I speak very little french, enough to say 'good morning' and 'excuse me sir,' but that's about it. *ooc: nah, i'm 5'3". not really tall, but not entirely short either, considering i'm taller than my best friend's mum. *
