*Sighs happily.* That's thing that I love about bassons. You don't really have to tune it, well you do, but with your mouth and tongue and that's only really the reed, so maybe it really isn't tuning it...wait, yea it is because I'm getting it in tuned so therefore I'm getting it tuned. Yea. Glad I got all of that straightened out.

So how long have you been playing? I've only been playing for... 4 months, I think. March, April, May... Yeah, 3 and a half months. I can do some songs, and I just composed a couple riffs, which are completely random and based more on neck geometry than music theory... ;D I wanna buy a keyboard next. Really, really want a keyboard. I'll save up after the holidays. Or get it for Christmas. Or my birthday. Which is basically the same thing 'cause it's almost at the same time. Have you ever tried to scream underwater? You'll choke. I really like the band that sings that. Cauterize. Nice name... Kinda weird. But nice. Right, I'm off to write my column. ;D

When I go back to school it will be my third year. Wonderful isn't it?
No, but I have tried to talk underwater (didn't go so well).

Oh you play it at school? But you did get to pick the instrument, right? You ever practice outside of school? I bought new strings yesterday. It took me half an hour to put on the first string, the rest were easier. Except the E string sounds soo dead... I'm replacing it after the holidays. I also bought a new tuner (which is why I bought cheap strings in the first place... ) I never had any real music lessons at school. They had them in my school for 4th to 6th grade, and then when I was in 3rd grade they changed them for Dance lessons, which I majorly hated. And then they had them in secondary school, and the same year I entered they changed it so only the second year had music, and I was really happy about it... Until the year started and we started studying the life of Mozart's father or something. It was really not what I expected, the teacher had been my drama teacher the previous year and already hated me, and I didn't even have the book. I love that screamk underwater quote. So my friend's building up a zine, and I've got a column in it. The column's called AAAH so obviously it's me complaining about stuff... I wrote my name in the draft, but I'm not sure I should use my name or a pseudonym. Though I s'pose since I'm criticizing stuff it would be cowardly to use a pseudonym... What d'you think?

I play in my school concert band. I was doing private lessons outside of school when I first started but I stopped doing that. I'm supposed to practice but I don't really. Bad bad me.
I am not sure about the pseudonym. I don't think it is exactly cowardly and it does certainly add a dash of mystery to the magazine. But you would probally end up looking kind of stupid though if everyone knew it was you saying all of these things. That's my take on it anyways.

Wait. You don't practice. So, did they assign you an instrument you hated or something? Or do you just not practice because you're busy doing other things (say... coming on TD.) I mean, I practice a lot. Really a lot. I'm playing right now actually, while being o TD, Well, I dunno... It's a punkish mag. So basically, if not at first, I'll probably get so caught up in it I end up criticizing the school system and all, and you know teachers... But at the same time, I don't want other people getting credit for MY work.

I really do like my instrument and I d practice in the morning at school when I can bust mostly I am busy and I've been really lucky in the fact that right now I don't need to. I get the music down and I get an A in the class.

Nicky, I don't practice either, and it doesn't mean I hate my instrument. I don't. I just know that I'm terrible at playing the guitar, so there's no real use for practising. I just know I'd do so well playing the drums, but that's not possible.
I've been sick since Tuesday night. Something I ate, maybe. I spend my days in the bathroom, I feel sick all the time... and I'm starting to get sick of this too, because it's been almost a week, I've been prescribed two kinds of pills in a week and none of them acts properly. I still have belly aches, I still live in the bathroom... and what sucks is that I can't go out, because I'm always needing a bathroom near me, which is practically impossible! And I actually want to go to school now, I'm so sick of being home.
I'm gonna buy some paint today, so if I have to stay at home another week I'll be entertained. I bought an Ema's egg yesterday, I'm gonna paint it with ink made for cutlery... I'm gonna use some stencils.. it's gonna look nice. Gotta go.

Well, you'd be better if you practiced. I sucked when I first got my bass, and I still tried to do fast and complicated things (most of which I still can't do ) That sucks that you're sick... Get well soon
You know, yesterday Mexico beat Dominica in soccer 10-0. It's for the World Cup elimination thing. 10-0... Wow...
*UPDATE* Portugal just beat Spain in the European Cup. ;D I didn't want Spain to win. I mean, they have Real, what more do they want? Besides, the cup's in Portugal. It'd suck for the host to lose in the first round.

See, I had classes, Nicky. And I still sucked. So I don't think practice would help that much.
I'm better now ;D My doctor finally prescribed me the correct pills so I'm finally going to school today. Just hope someone's there (the Craig Nicholls look-a-like).. I'm gonna receive one of the two tests left to receive: German. I'm expecting a good mark, actually, it went pretty well. The stupid thing is that my official teacher was ill during all third term and she asked for another teacher to replace her while she was ill. So the teacher replaced her, and it was with the substitute we made the test and everything... and now the 'official' one is returning in the last week of school. It makes no sense! I don't know with what she's going to evaluate us because she doens't have any records on her papers, the other teacher does. Unless she takes a look at the other teacher's papers and decides. Because if she's gonna ignore the substitute's marks and everything and give her own, I'm having a 9. No matter if I had a 16 or a 15. Which sucks. But it'll be Ok, I'm sure. Tomorrow's Geography but I'm not that worried. I'm going to Year 12 nontheless.
Speak for yourself! There were cars out in the streets until 1 am maing those noises with the horn (can't remember the word) and screaming and shouting "Por-tu-gal!"... gee, I was so sick of hearing them. But I really liked the fact that we winned, though. I wasn't expecting it. I thought we were already eleminated you know, because we lost with Greece.. and even though we won with Russia, the chances of winning against Spain were very little. But it was great. You know how I feel for the Spanish so... and it was actually good that even in football we defeated them. King Afonso Henriques must be very proud, wherever he is. I just hope they don't say the referee helped us.. they were saying he would, before the game. Silly. It's funny how most of the 'big' teams didn't get through... Italy (WELL DONE, TRAPPATONI, JERK), Netherlands, Spain, Germany... I think Germany didn't pass either. Greece was a surprise, I didn't expect them to be so strong.
Now let's see who we get in the next round. It's either England or... my dad told me yesterday, I can't remember. I don't want it to be England. Or else we're screwed.

Well, I watched most of it with my cousins and we were all like 'I hope spain doesn't win.' I didn't want them to pass, I'm glad they lost. ;D I mean sure, it's Spain, they're not bad at soccer, but they "owned" my country for 300 years. Add that to the fact that I now think my European blood might be French and not Spanish, and of course I wanted them to lose. I had an awful dream where my friends were doing finals right now and Ana called me and asked why I wasn't taking the tests, and told me I had failed every subject. Silly me. Really? So England's passing? Ana (she's english, so I guess she's actually Anna... ) told me that England wasn't passing... I dunno, I'd check the Euro page but it won't let me. Stupid page. By the way, the tuning peg on my bass broke yesterday. I tried to fix it for hours, I know what I need to do. I just can't do it because I'm terrible with glue. For a couple seconds I had the peg crazy-glued to my finger. *EDIT* I son't understand what's so great about hotmail. They only give you 2 megas, and yahoo gives you 100. But I'll keep the hotmail just for the msn, so I guess lots of people do that... 100 megas for free!

OMG, WE BEAT ENGLAND!
A long time ago, but nevertheless, it's nice to celebrate Shameful though, the attitude of the English, saying they were robbed. They didn't play anything, how could they be robbed? We fought till the end, we really deserved that win... but maybe they think that since the event is being held in Portugal our team is being helped by the federation and the referees. Which is crap, of course. I went to watch the game downtown with some friends, I saw about two or three English disguised as Portuguese supporters. I wonder why. I heard "VAE FIGOW" (vai figo - go figo) very distinctivly. It was hilarious, really.
And I'm a member again ;D
Nicky, what about Oasis? I'm re-hooked on them... and I've got to send you some X-Wife (Portuguese band), you'll love them, I'm sure of it.

Oh, Rita - I thought it might interest you to know that apparently a lot of Canadians are behind Portgual, too Whenever I'm driving around downtown, I see sooo many people who have attatched Portgual flags to their cars (excluding today, which is Canada's day, so they're all Canadian flags, of course). There's also a number of what I'm guessing are Czech flags, and Dutch. Are those all teams who are still in the running?

Well, if it's not too late to still be replying... I'm back at last! I was behind Portugal all the way.... I felt awful when they lost. Though you gotta admit, what the greek did was amazing. I don't think they'd ever won anything like that before. And yeah, the Czech Republic and Holland both made it to the semi finals... The cup was seriously crazy... I mean. Greece won. And so many big teams made... nothing. Anyway, I'm back for now... Then I'll go again... Then school starts on the 4th... yuck. Lucky you, driving around downtown... now suddendly everyone drives and is allowed the car but me. How fun. My best friend just got a car too... And I have to wait until my birthday or something. I'm glad you're a house member again rita.
